従来、デジタルＣＳ放送等では、電子番組表によって番組の選択が可能となっているが、ＣＳと地上波、ＢＳといった異なった放送メディアによる番組を受信する場合は、放送メディア毎に受信装置を使用者が操作して番組を選択する必要がある。これを解決するものとして、特開平８−２７５０７７号公報には、ＡＶシステムに複数の番組情報を結合する結合手段を設けることにより解決することが示されている。
