A conventional electronic album editing apparatus has a configuration in which an electronic album is edited using a photo CD as an input target. This photo CD is an image recorded on photographic film and recorded on a compact disc.
[0005]
The conventional electronic album editing apparatus adopts a configuration for editing an electronic album by allocating photo data recorded on the photo CD to a mount displayed on the display with the photo CD as an input target. .
[0006]
In editing this electronic album, the electronic album editing device responds to instructions from the user, assigns the characters representing the photo data, seasons, etc. to the mount while enlarging, reducing, moving, and rotating, An electronic album is edited by assigning to a mount, trimming the shape of the photo data assigned to the mount, or erasing the photo data, graphics, and characters assigned to the mount.
[0007]
A conventional electronic album editing apparatus employs a method of enlarging or reducing photographic data or graphics assigned to a mount in accordance with an enlargement / reduction method prepared by the system without distinguishing the photographic data or graphics.
[0008]
In addition, when moving or rotating the photograph data or figure assigned to the mount, a method of moving and rotating only the assigned object designated as the object to be rotated is adopted.
[0009]
Also, when assigning characters to the mount, a method of assigning characters in the character style prepared by the system with characters input from the keyboard as the assignment target has been adopted.
[0010]
Also, when trimming the shape of the photo data assigned to the mount, and when there is a request for enlargement / reduction of the photo data after trimming, the trimmed photo data was enlarged / reduced. .
[0011]

At this time, when there is a request for enlargement / reduction of the photo data cut out by the shape of the decoration, the album editing program 89 does not enlarge / reduce it, but refers to it with a pointer as shown in the processing flow of FIG. The original photo data is scaled, and the decoration shape is scaled using vector data, and the scaled photo data is cut out according to the scaled decoration shape. Yes. Thereby, it becomes possible to prevent the shape portion of the ornament from being enlarged.
[0123]
As the cutout shape of the photo data, a circle or a heart is prepared, but the album editing program 89 uses a complicated curve formula or a complicated procedure by cutting out the heart shape according to the following procedure. It is configured to execute without any problems.
[0124]
That is, as shown in FIG. 31, the four corners of the quadrangle surrounding the heart are defined as..., And the midpoint of the quadrangle, and the vertical length of the quadrangle is .alpha. Then, the arc that corresponds to 0 to π / 2 radians of the ellipse inscribed in “Vertical: 2/5 of α, Horizontal: Square of 1/2 of β” with the upper left corner is the inner arc of the left heart And an arc corresponding to π / 2 to π radians of an ellipse inscribed in “Vertical: 2/5 of α, Horizontal: Square of 1/2 of β” with.
[0125]
Then, an ellipse inscribed in “vertical with the left upper end: 2/3 of α, horizontal: half of β with β” is an ellipse A, and “ellipse with the upper right end: 2/3 of α. , Horizontal: an ellipse inscribed in ½ of β is defined as an ellipse B, and from each contact point when tangent lines are drawn to ellipses A and B, a straight line to A heart shape is generated by combining an arc from π / 2 to the contact point of the ellipse A and an arc from the contact point of the ellipse B to π / 2.

The management of various data used in the above-described electronic album editing apparatus and album editing processing based on the managed data will be described in more detail.
[0132]
Various data used in the electronic album editing apparatus described above is managed based on, for example, a data directory as shown in FIG.
[0133]
In FIG. 34, this data directory is composed of “album management file”, “album directory”, “photo management file”, “picture directory”, “part management file”, and “part directory”. The “album management file” represents the relationship between the album title of each album and the album directory. Therefore, when the album title is designated, the “album directory” is specified with reference to the “album management file”. That is, the substance of the data related to the album is specified.
[0134]
Specifically, the “album management file” is configured as shown in FIG. 35, for example. That is, for each album, the album title, the “album directory” in which data related to the album are stored, and the management status of the album (whether it is opened or not) are described.
[0135]
Returning to FIG. 34, each “album directory” corresponds to one album, and manages “album information file”, “audio file”, and “pen sheet file”. The “album information file” includes an album size, a list of information constituting each page of the album, and the like as will be described in detail later. “Audio file” represents a file of audio information to be attached to the album. The “pen sheet file” represents a file of graphic data (handwritten characters, etc.) to be attached to the album.
[0136]
The “photo management file” manages the relationship between the photo box title and the “picture directory” storing the photo data belonging to the photo box, and is configured as shown in FIG. 7, for example. Each “picture directory” includes a photo data file (photo file, see FIG. 5) representing each photo and a reduced photo data file (miniature file) representing the photo represented by each photo data. It is configured. This reduced photo data represents a photo belonging to a photo box displayed in a reduced size in the work display area 115 (see FIG. 18).
[0137]
The “part management file” manages the relationship between the part box title and the “part directory” storing the part data belonging to the part box, and is configured as shown in FIG. 8, for example. Each “part directory” includes a file (part file, see FIG. 6) storing part data representing each part (frame etc.) and a reduced part data file representing the part represented by each part data. (Miniature file). The reduced part data represents a part belonging to a part box displayed in a reduced size in the work display area 115 (see FIG. 19).
[0138]
Furthermore, the above-mentioned “album information” is configured as shown in FIG. 36, for example.
[0139]
In FIG. 36, “album information” includes “drawing size (including screen resolution)”, “auto demo time (retention time of each page in the automatic page turning function of album)”, and information constituting the
[0140]
The part information includes information indicating the file name of the part and the display position and size of the part on the page. Furthermore, the character data information includes information regarding the display position of the character on the page, the character color, font, style, size, and the character string to which the character belongs.
[0141]
Based on various information managed by the data directory as described above, a process for organizing a photo box storing various photos and a process for editing an album using various photos belonging to the photo box are performed.
[0142]
First, processing related to organizing photo boxes is performed, for example, according to the procedure shown in FIGS.
[0143]
When the “photo organizing” icon (see FIG. 11) is clicked, processing related to organizing photo boxes is started. In FIG. 37, an initial screen (see FIG. 14) for organizing photo boxes is displayed (S101). Further, when a photo box is selected (clicked) from the photo box icon list displayed on the initial screen (S102), whether or not a title setting or changing icon is further clicked (selected). Is determined (S103). Here, when the title setting or changing icon is clicked, a title input screen is displayed, the title information input from the keyboard is taken in, and the photo box managed by the photo management file (see FIG. 34). A title is newly set or changed (S104). This completes the new setting of the photo box or the title changing process.
[0144]
Next, when the selection operation for setting or changing the photo box title is not performed and only the photo box selection operation is performed (S102, S103, No), the photo management file (see FIG. 34) is referred to. The picture directory corresponding to the selected photo box is searched. Further, the reduced photo data of the miniature file belonging to the picture directory is read from the disc, and the reduced photo is displayed on the screen (S105). Then, it is determined whether or not there is a photo that is already used in the album among photos belonging to the photo box (S106). If there is a used photo, a crease (see the
[0145]
Here, when the photo capture icon is clicked, a photo capture screen (see FIG. 15) is displayed (S109). Then, the photograph is displayed in the
[0146]
If there is no selection process for the photo capture process (S108, No), it is further determined whether or not the icon for moving the photo box has been clicked (selected) (S110). Here, when the icon for moving the photo box is clicked, the electronic album editing apparatus is a photo that belongs to the photo box that has already been selected and is currently displayed in the work display area 101 (see FIG. 14) of the screen. It enters a waiting state for the selection operation of (reduced photo) and the designation operation of the photo box as the movement destination. When these operations are performed, a process of moving the photograph data representing the selected photograph to the designated photograph box is performed (S111). Specifically, the photo management file is updated so that the picture directory having the photo file corresponding to the selected photo corresponds to the selected photo box (see FIG. 34). This completes the process of moving the picture box.
[0147]
If the photo box move icon is not clicked (S110, No), the processing relating to the arrangement of the photo boxes proceeds to step S112 shown in FIG.
[0148]
That is, it is determined whether or not the photo data deletion icon has been clicked (selected) (S112). When the photo data deletion icon is clicked, the electronic album editing apparatus waits for a photo designation operation to be deleted. In this state, when the user clicks (selects) a photo (reduced photo) displayed in the
[0149]
Furthermore, if the photo data deletion icon is not clicked (S112, No), it is determined whether or not the magnifying glass icon is clicked (selected) (S116). The magnifying glass icon represents the process of enlarging the displayed photo. When this magnifying glass icon is clicked, the electronic album editing apparatus waits for a selection operation of a photo (reduced photo) displayed in the work display area 101 (see FIG. 14) of the screen. When the user clicks (selects) the displayed photo, an enlarged display screen is displayed, and enlarged photo data is generated from the photo data so that an enlarged photo can be obtained from the selected photo. Based on the generated enlarged photo data, an enlarged photo of the selected photo is displayed in the enlarged display screen (S117). This completes the process of enlarging and displaying the reduced photo. The user can confirm the details of the content in the enlarged photograph.
[0150]
Further, the electronic album editing apparatus determines whether or not an end operation has been performed (S118). If the end operation has been performed, all the processes related to organizing the photo boxes are ended.
[0151]
Furthermore, the processing related to album editing is executed according to the procedure shown in FIG. 39, for example.
[0152]
When the album editing icon is clicked (selected) on the initial screen (see FIG. 11), the processing related to album editing shown in FIG. 39 is started. First, when the album edit screen (see FIG. 18) is displayed, when the user clicks (selects) the icon of the photo box to which the photo used for album editing belongs, the photo management file (see FIG. 34) is referred to. The miniature file described in each picture directory corresponding to the clicked photo box is extracted. Based on the reduced photo data of the extracted miniature file, a list of photos belonging to the photo box is reduced and displayed in the
[0153]
Further, it is determined whether or not there is a photo belonging to the selected photo box that is already used in the album (S122). If there is a used photo, a crease is formed in the lower right corner of the reduced photo corresponding to the photo, and the used photo is sorted after the unused photo (S123). As a result, unused photos are placed higher in the arrangement order, so that reduced photos corresponding to unused photos are displayed at a higher position in the
[0154]
Thereafter, the electronic album editing apparatus waits for input of photos and parts (mounting paper, frame, etc.) used for the album. When the user selects a mount, the selected mount is displayed in an area 70 (see FIG. 18) adjacent to the
[0155]
When a reduced photo displayed in the
[0156]
When a part box is selected (clicked) from the parts box list, a parts management file (FIG. 34) is created, and a parts directory corresponding to parts belonging to the selected part box is extracted. Then, the reduced parts in the miniature file described in each extracted part directory are read, and the reduced parts are displayed in the
[0157]
When a photo has been selected and there is a default decoration (part) in the photo, the decoration (part) is simultaneously selected by the photo selection operation and displayed on the mount (S125).
[0158]
A crease is formed in the lower right corner of the reduced photo corresponding to the photo selected and pasted on the mount, and the selected photo is sorted after the unused photo (S126). For example, the reduced photo related to the selection is displayed at the end of the displayed reduced photo.
[0159]
Thereafter, it is determined whether or not a request for enlargement / reduction of the photograph and parts pasted on the mount has been made (S127). If it is determined that such a processing request has been made, it is further determined whether or not the processing request is for photo data (S128). If it is for photo data, the designated photo data is enlarged or reduced without changing the aspect ratio (S129). On the other hand, if it is not a photograph data but a part, the part data is enlarged / reduced at a designated magnification (S130). As described above, when the enlargement / reduction processing of the photograph or part is performed, the information regarding the size of each piece of photograph data information and part information in the album information file (see FIG. 36) is updated.
[0160]
Further, it is determined whether or not a processing request for moving a photograph and parts pasted on the mount has been made (S139). When the processing request is made, a waiting state for a moving operation on the mount of the photograph and parts is entered. Here, when the user performs a moving operation (for example, drag) of a photograph or a part on the mount using the mouse, the moved photograph or part is moved on the mount. Then, each piece of photo data information and part information in the album information file (see FIG. 36) is updated at the position of the movement destination.
[0161]
Thereafter, it is determined whether or not an end request for processing relating to album editing has been made (S132). If such an end request has been made, processing relating to album editing ends.
[0162]
In the album editing apparatus as described above, the photos belonging to each photo box are reduced and displayed. When a photo to be pasted on the mount is selected from among them, a crease is added to the lower right corner of the reduced photo. Therefore, among the photos belonging to each photo box, photos that have not been pasted on the album can be confirmed at a glance. In addition, since the creased reduced photo representing the used photo is displayed in an array after the reduced photo corresponding to the unused photo, the operability of selecting the unused photo is improved.
[0163]
In addition, if the information about each photo or part changes, such as when the selected photo or part is enlarged / reduced or moved, the photo data information in the album information file, part information, etc. The corresponding term of is updated. Then, the electronic album editing apparatus stores the album management file, the album directory including the album editing information updated in this way, the photo management file, the picture directory, the parts management file, and the parts directory (FIGS. 34, 35, and 36). By referring to the information (photo data, part data, etc.) belonging to each album, photo box, and parts box, it is centrally managed.
[0164]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, when a user assigns a frame part to an electronic album, the user can move and rotate the photo data put in the frame part integrally with the frame part, Since the reduction of the frame parts can be automatically suppressed, the electronic album desired by the user can be easily edited.
