Description
【0001】

An image recording apparatus that performs image recording processing using two types of image recording materials, for example, a photosensitive material and an image receiving material is known.
[0003]
In this type of image recording apparatus, the photosensitive material and the image receiving material are respectively wound and accommodated in a magazine in which the interior is shielded from light, and are sequentially pulled out and used every time an image recording process is performed. . In addition, the image recording apparatus is provided with a water application unit for applying an image forming solvent to the photosensitive material, and further includes a heating drum and an endless pressure contact belt that presses against the outer periphery of the heating drum and rotates together with the heating drum. A heat development transfer portion is arranged.
[0004]
The photosensitive material that has been pulled out from the magazine and cut by a predetermined size is exposed while being nipped and conveyed by a conveying roller, and is further fed with water as an image forming solvent in the water application unit and then fed into the heat development transfer unit. . On the other hand, the image receiving material is pulled out from the magazine by a predetermined size and cut in the same manner as the photosensitive material, and is sent to the heat development transfer unit in synchronization with the photosensitive material by the conveying roller. In the heat development transfer portion, the photosensitive material after water application is superimposed on the image receiving material, and in this state, the photosensitive material is closely wound around the outer periphery of the heating drum. Further, both materials are sandwiched and conveyed between the heating drum and the endless pressure contact belt, the photosensitive material is thermally developed, the image is transferred to the image receiving material, and a predetermined image is formed (recorded) on the image receiving material. is there.
[0005]
In such an image recording apparatus, the reflective original is positioned on the glass surface provided on the upper surface of the apparatus main body, the image is scanned by line scanning, the image is exposed on the photosensitive material, and then the image is transferred and recorded on the image receiving material. It has come to be.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, for example, when an image is recorded at the same magnification, the vertical and horizontal dimensions of the photosensitive material and the vertical and horizontal dimensions of the document image may not always match. The causes include the size accuracy of the photosensitive material, the positional accuracy of the zoom lens for changing the magnification, and the change in the optical path length (displacement in the thickness direction of the photosensitive material, etc.). In such a case, if the original image is recorded larger than the recording area of the photosensitive material, it is inconspicuous, but conversely, if the original image is recorded smaller than the recording area of the photosensitive material, a blank portion is generated, and further, the original Positioning accuracy, photosensitive material transport positioning accuracy, and when transferring the image exposed to the photosensitive material to the image receiving material, if the transfer positional accuracy is not good, the margin is enlarged and tilted. It looks very bad.
[0007]
In some cases, a so-called bordered image is formed in which a margin of a predetermined width is provided around the image, and this border determines a predetermined width of a predetermined ratio with respect to the image area. On the other hand, the margin is not well balanced because it has no correlation with the image area, unlike the consciously provided edge.
[0008]
In view of the above facts, the present invention has an object to obtain an image recording apparatus capable of improving the appearance without generating a margin when an original image is recorded over the entire recording area of a recording material. .
[0009]
Another object of the present invention is to obtain an image recording apparatus capable of reliably providing a margin of a predetermined width in the recording area of the photosensitive material when the original image is a bordered image.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention described in claim 1 is an image recording apparatus for exposing a document image to a photosensitive material to obtain a copy image, Full original image A first magnification setting means for setting a first exposure magnification for recording the image on the entire surface of the photosensitive material, and a first magnification setting means for preventing a margin from being generated around an image recorded on the photosensitive material. A second magnification setting means for setting a second exposure magnification obtained by increasing the set first exposure magnification by a predetermined value; and the first or second magnification setting means based on the center of the document. Exposure means for exposing a document image at a set magnification.
[0011]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided an image recording apparatus for exposing a manuscript image to a photosensitive material to obtain a copy image, and when the manuscript image is recorded on the photosensitive material, the image exposed on the photosensitive material. When no margin mode is set by the marginless mode setting means for setting the marginless mode so that no margin is generated around the marginless mode setting means, Full original image When the first exposure magnification is automatically set and the borderless mode is set, the second exposure is obtained by increasing the set first exposure magnification by a predetermined value. Magnification setting means for setting the magnification, and exposure means for exposing the document image at the magnification set by the magnification setting means with reference to the center of the document.
[0012]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, the first magnification setting means Full original image Is set to the first exposure magnification so as to be recorded on the entire surface of the photosensitive material. Here, in the first exposure magnification setting, a magnification is set such that the image size and the photosensitive material size coincide in calculation (for example, L size → L size is 100%, E size → L size is 108%). % Etc., see Table 1). However, when the sizes are the same in calculation, there is a possibility that a margin may appear on the entire circumference or a part thereof due to machine difference, positioning error, or the like. Therefore, the second magnification setting means changes the set first exposure magnification to a second exposure magnification that is increased by a predetermined value so that no margin is generated around the image recorded on the photosensitive material. Can do.
[0013]
By performing exposure based on the second exposure magnification set by the second magnification setting means, an image slightly larger than the desired size is recorded on the photosensitive material. As a result, no margin is generated in the vicinity of the periphery of the photosensitive material, and even if the image is recorded with a slight inclination, it can be made almost inconspicuous.
[0014]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, when the original image is recorded on the photosensitive material, it is set whether or not the marginless mode is set so that no margin is generated around the image on the photosensitive material. If the borderless mode is not set in this setting, the designated magnification is set as it is as the magnification for scanning exposure. When the borderless mode is set, a predetermined enlargement magnification is set as the magnification at the time of scanning exposure with respect to the designated magnification.
[0015]
In this way, since the magnification is changed depending on whether or not the borderless mode is set, an irregular margin (edge) is generated around the image exposed on the photosensitive material, and the appearance is deteriorated. By setting the marginless mode, it is possible to prevent the image from being enlarged by increasing the exposure magnification and causing irregular margins around the image on the photosensitive material.
[0016]
The photosensitive material used in the image recording apparatus of the present invention is a so-called thermal material in which a latent image obtained by imagewise exposure is thermally developed and transferred to an image receiving material in the presence of an image forming solvent to obtain a visible image. Development photosensitive material is mentioned.
[0017]
The photothermographic material basically has a photosensitive silver halide, a reducing agent, a binder, and a dye-donating compound (which may also serve as a reducing agent) on a support, and further if necessary. An organic metal salt oxidizing agent or the like can be contained.
[0018]
The photothermographic material described above may provide a negative image or a positive image upon exposure. There are two methods for giving positive images: one using a direct positive emulsion (two types: a nucleating agent method and a light fogging method) as a silver halide emulsion, and a dye that emits a positive diffusible dye image. Any of the methods using a donor compound can be employed.
[0019]
As a photothermographic material of a type that gives a positive image, for example, those described in JP-A-6-161070 and JP-A-6-289555, and as a photothermographic material of a type that gives a negative image, are disclosed. For example, those described in JP-A-5-181246 and JP-A-6-242546 can be used.
[0020]
The image-forming solvent in the present invention includes, for example, water, and this water is not limited to so-called pure water, but includes water in the meaning that is widely used. Moreover, a mixed solvent of pure water and a low boiling point solvent such as methanol, DMF, acetone, diisobutylketone may be used. Further, it may be a solution containing an image formation accelerator, an antifoggant, a development stopper, and a hydrophilic thermal solvent.

[0039]
Here, regarding the optical system, if the focal length of the lens unit 38B is f, the distance between the document and the lens unit 38B is a, and the distance between the lens unit 38B and the copy image is b, (1 / a) + ( 1 / b) = 1 / f. For this reason, when the lens unit 38B is brought close to the document 11 to change the magnification, the value of a decreases, so that the value of b needs to be increased accordingly.

Therefore, in FIG. 3, when the lens unit 38B moves along the optical axis L at a specified magnification, the

[0056]
That is, if the document size is known, the center position of the document can be recognized by calculation. Since the exposure possible distance in the scanning direction of the image is determined by the magnification, this length is assigned to the left and right from the calculated center position, and the left end and the right end are determined. By scanning and exposing within this determined range, an image based on the center of the original image can be obtained.
