Description
【0001】

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, even in the turbo pump having the above-described balance piston mechanism, the balance piston mechanism does not operate properly at the time of start-up or in a region where the rotational speed of the impeller is relatively low (for example, 10,000 rpm or less). There is a problem that a large unbalance force is generated (rightward in the figure).
[0006]
For this reason, in a turbo pump equipped with a conventional balance piston mechanism, as illustrated in FIG. 6, an elastic member 8 (for example, a disc spring) is provided on the side surface of the
[0007]
The present invention has been developed to solve the above-described problems. That is, an object of the present invention is to provide a turbo pump including a balance piston mechanism that can absorb (support) shaft thrust generated at the time of starting or low speed and can be used stably for a long time.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the present invention, an impeller that rotates at high speed to pressurize the liquid, a radial bearing that supports rotation of the impeller, a balance piston mechanism that flows the pressurized liquid to the back of the impeller and balances the axial thrust, A thrust bearing that supports the axial thrust of the impeller, and when the balance piston mechanism does not operate or at a low speed, the impeller receives axial thrust in the rear direction so that the thrust supporting surface of the impeller contacts the thrust bearing. The axial thrust is supported by the thrust bearing, and during normal operation of the balance piston mechanism, the thrust support surface of the impeller is separated from the thrust bearing so that the thrust bearing is in an unloaded state. A turbo pump with a balance piston mechanism is provided.
[0009]
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a gap δ 2 is provided between the thrust support surface of the impeller and the thrust bearing. Further, the balance piston mechanism includes an inlet channel A provided at an outer end portion of the impeller and in which a gap δ is enlarged by movement of the impeller in the back direction, and a clearance δ provided by movement of the impeller in the rear direction of the impeller. 1 , the outlet channel B in which the pressure decreases, and the rear channel that flows the pressurized liquid along the rear surface of the impeller between the inlet channel A and the outlet channel B, and the gap δ 2 of the thrust bearing is: is set smaller than the maximum value of the gap [delta] 1. Moreover, it is preferable that the radial bearing is a journal bearing.
[0010]
[Action]
According to the configuration of the present invention comprises a balance piston mechanism to balance the axial thrust by flowing pressurized liquid to the back of the impeller, a thrust bearing for supporting the shaft thrust of the impeller, the balance piston mechanism When the impeller is activated or at low speed, the impeller receives axial thrust in the rear direction, so that the thrust support surface of the impeller contacts the thrust bearing and the axial thrust is supported by the thrust bearing, and the balance piston mechanism operates normally. Sometimes the thrust support surface of the impeller is separated from the thrust bearing so that the thrust bearing is in an unloaded state . (1) When the balance piston mechanism does not operate properly at the time of start-up or at low speed, Thrust bearing only when the impeller is moved by a predetermined distance δ2 in the rear direction due to unbalanced force Can absorb more unbalanced force (supporting), in the normal rotating at high speed (2) the impeller, the impeller is held in proper position by a balance piston mechanism, the contact between the thrust bearing and the thrust bearing surface of the impeller As a result, the thrust bearing can be stopped in a no-load state, whereby the thrust bearing can be used stably for a long time.
[0011]
In addition, by providing a gap δ 2 between the thrust support surface of the impeller and the thrust bearing, the unbalanced force is absorbed by the thrust bearing only when the impeller moves by a predetermined distance δ 2 in the rear direction by a simple structure ( Support). Further, by setting the gap δ 2 of the thrust bearing to be smaller than the maximum value of the gap δ 1 of the outlet flow path B at the rear inner end of the impeller, the thrust bearing can be reliably secured with the outlet flow path B secured. The impeller contact and wear in the outlet channel B can be avoided. In addition, by using a radial bearing as the journal bearing, it is possible to receive a high load during high-speed rotation (for example, 20,000 to 50,000 rpm) with a simple structure.
