Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method of cold rolling a metal strip with a plurality of stands, and more particularly to a cold rolling method capable of high speed rolling and high pressure reduction rolling.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, when a hot-rolled steel strip such as low carbon steel is cold-rolled by a tandem rolling mill, a steel work roll is usually used.
However, when cold rolling a hot-rolled steel strip with a cold tandem rolling mill, if the rolling speed is increased using a steel work roll, the work roll and the steel strip at the final stand with the fastest rolling speed will eventually be obtained. In some cases, seizure occurred between the steel strips and the surface of the steel strip, which was the final product, was damaged. Even if the reduction rate is increased to make the steel strip as the final product thinner, depending on the conditions of reduction rate and rolling speed, seizure occurs in either stand, and in the worst case, the steel strip has a hole. In some cases, the hole expands due to tension and breaks.
[0003]
In recent years, it has been required to produce an ultrathin steel strip with a cold tandem rolling mill, and it has become necessary to perform tandem rolling at a high pressure reduction rate. However, if a steel work roll is used to reduce the pressure under high pressure, seizure will occur, so it will not be possible to reduce the sheet thickness to the required thickness, or the rolling speed will have to be slowed down. There was a case of decline.
[0004]
As a technique for preventing seizure between a work roll and a steel strip, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 10-317102 discloses, by weight%, C: 1.1 to 1.5%, Si: 0.15 to 1.0%, Mn: 0.15 to 1.5 %, Ni: 1.0% or less, Cr: 9.0 to 15.0%, Mo: less than 1.0%, V: less than 0.8%, one or more selected from the group consisting of Ti, Zr, Nb, and Ta: 0.30% in total In the following, a work roll for cold rolling is disclosed which is made of an alloy which is the balance Fe and inevitable impurities.
[0005]
However, since the roll material disclosed in JP-A-10-317102 is a high-carbon high-speed steel, as a work roll of a cold tandem rolling mill, seizure resistance is not sufficient, When cold rolling is performed using a high-carbon high-speed steel work roll while supplying high-viscosity rolling oil, the friction coefficient decreases too much, causing a slip phenomenon between the work roll and the steel strip, which is called chattering. Since rolling mill vibration is likely to occur, there has been a problem that the rolling speed and rolling reduction have to be limited.
[0006]
Also, JP-A-63-168207 discloses use for hot rolling and cold rolling of steel bars, steel wire rods, flat steel wires, aluminum wires, copper wires and the like having a diameter of about 70 mmφ × 70 mm W in width. Although a cemented carbide fitting roll is disclosed, it cannot be used as a large-diameter work roll of a cold tandem rolling mill.
By the way, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-263627 discloses a cemented carbide composite in which a plurality of hollow molded body members divided by a surface intersecting with a roll central axis are integrated in advance to form a sleeve, and the sleeve is fixed to the shaft member. A sleeve roll is disclosed.
[0007]
However, no consideration has been given to economic aspects and other aspects such as how to use a cemented carbide composite sleeve roll for operation in a cold tandem rolling mill and roll cost.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned problems of the prior art when cold rolling a metal strip with a cold tandem rolling mill, economically controlling the roll cost, under high speed rolling and high pressure. An object of the present invention is to provide a cold rolling method capable of rate rolling.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention relates to a cold rolling method in which a metal strip is rolled with a plurality of stands, and a plurality of hollow molded body members divided on a surface intersecting with a roll central axis are integrated in advance to form a sleeve, and the sleeve is A cemented carbide composite sleeve roll fixed to a member and a high-speed steel roll are incorporated into at least one stand as work rolls, respectively , and the reduction rate of the stand incorporating the cemented carbide composite sleeve roll is adjusted to a high-speed steel roll. It is a cold rolling method of a metal strip characterized by being made higher than a stand incorporating a metal.
[0010]
When the number of stands is m and the number of cemented carbide composite sleeve rolls is n (vertical pair) (m> n ≧ 1), cemented carbide composite sleeve rolls are placed from the (mn + 1) th to mth (final) stands. This is a cold rolling method for a metal strip to be incorporated.
Moreover, it is the cold rolling method of the metal strip which supplies a cooling water without supplying rolling oil to the said cemented carbide composite sleeve roll.
[0011]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In the cold rolling method of the present invention, among the plurality of stands of the cold tandem rolling mill, as a work roll of at least one stand, a plurality of hollow molded body members that are divided on the surface intersecting with the roll central axis are previously provided. By applying a cemented carbide composite sleeve roll that is integrated into a sleeve and the sleeve is fixed to the shaft member, seizure of the metal strip can be prevented, and roll cost can be suppressed and high speed rolling and high pressure rolling can be realized. .
[0012]
First, a method for manufacturing a cemented carbide composite sleeve roll will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 (a) and 1 (b).
Here, 11 is a hollow molded body member, 12 is an integral sleeve, 13 is a shaft member, and 14 is a side end ring.

[0017]
The manufacturing method of the cemented carbide composite sleeve roll described above is the same as the method described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-263627, and 14 is a steel side end ring.
The cemented carbide composite sleeve roll manufactured as described above should be a large diameter, 150-700mm body diameter, 500-2000mm body diameter, and a roll with excellent strength and toughness. Therefore, it can be used as a work roll of a cold tandem rolling mill.
[0018]
Next, applying the cemented carbide composite sleeve roll manufactured by the above method to any stand of a cold tandem rolling mill can reduce the roll cost and economically increase the speed and decrease the pressure. We examined whether there was.
As shown in FIG. 2, a tandem rolling mill is a five-stage rolling mill with five work rolls 2 and a
[0019]
The rolling mill of each rolling stand includes a pair of upper and lower work rolls 2 and a
At that time, the work roll conditions of each rolling stand were as shown in Tables 1 and 2. As the examples of the invention, built as a
[0020]
The cemented carbide composite sleeve roll is made from powder containing 20mass% Co added to WC, as described in Fig. 1 (a) and Fig. 1 (b) above, outer diameter 650mmφ, thickness 100mmt x width 400mmL Five hollow molded
[0021]
On the other hand, as a conventional example of the sections A6 and B6 shown in Tables 1 and 2, a high speed steel roll was incorporated as the
While cold rolling the above-mentioned low-carbon hot-rolled steel strip under the above rolling conditions, first, for A1 to A6 ( excluding A5 ) , the finished plate thickness is unified to 0.18 mm and a cemented carbide composite sleeve roll is incorporated. Table 1 shows the stand where seizure occurred and the seizure limit rolling speed.
[0022]
[Table 1]
[0023]
In addition, using the same low carbon hot rolled steel strip as above, this time, B1 to B6 ( excluding B5 ) were applied to the rolling speed of 2000 mpm and cold rolling was performed gradually. The total rolling reduction of No.5 stand was increased and the seizure limit thickness was investigated. Here, too, the stand incorporating the cemented carbide composite sleeve roll was changed in various ways, and the reduction ratio was distributed to the stand at a high level.
[0024]
Table 2 shows the stand where seizure occurred, the seizure limit plate thickness, the total rolling reduction of each stand and No. 1 to No. 5 stand.
[0025]
[Table 2]
[0026]
The following was found from the results of Tables 1 and 2.
( I ) : When a cemented carbide composite sleeve roll is incorporated in at least one rolling stand as a work roll, it is possible to prevent seizure between the work roll and the steel strip while supplying only cooling water without supplying rolling oil. Thus, higher-speed rolling is possible than in the conventional example.
From this, in the invention example, the rolling efficiency can be dramatically improved.
[0027]
( Ii ) : Since the cemented carbide composite sleeve roll is incorporated into the upstream stand in order from the final stand, seizure between the work roll and the steel strip can be prevented in order from the final stand with the highest rolling speed. Is preferable because high-speed rolling and further high-pressure rolling reduction are possible economically while maintaining good conditions while suppressing roll cost.
[0028]
( Iii ) : Rolling oil costs can be reduced by simply supplying cooling water without supplying rolling oil to the cemented carbide composite sleeve roll, so that the rolling oil cost can be reduced, which is preferable.
Further, as the number of stands incorporating the cemented carbide composite sleeve roll is increased, high-speed rolling and high-pressure rolling reduction are possible .
[0029]
Further, the cemented carbide composite sleeve roll had no cracks or breakage of the roll at the joining surface or other positions. The invention examples A1 to 4 using cemented carbide composite sleeve roll, in B1~
In conventional cold tandem rolling using a high-speed steel roll, empirically, increasing the reduction ratio, but chattering later stand such F4, F5 are known to be likely to occur, the present invention embodiment Since chattering did not occur in the examples of A2, A3, B2, and B3 in which cemented carbide composite sleeve rolls were incorporated in F4 and F5, chattering did not occur even when the rolling reduction was increased. It turns out that it is hard to generate. Alternatively, if you change your mind and do not incorporate a cemented carbide composite sleeve roll other than F4 and F5 as in A1, A4, B1, and B4, you can increase the reduction ratio of the stand even if it is incorporated in another stand. Since the reduction rate of the F4 and F5 stands can be reduced, there is a method that can prevent chattering.
[0030]
In the above description, the cemented carbide composite sleeve roll is used for the work roll of the four-stage rolling mill, but the cold rolling method of the present invention is not limited to the four-stage rolling mill. Alternatively, a cemented carbide composite sleeve roll can be used as a work roll in a six-stage rolling mill provided with a work roll, an intermediate roll, and a backup roll.
[0031]
In addition, the rolling in Tables 1 and 2 described above is a kind of performance test, and is intended to determine the seizure limit. Actually, the conditions are slightly less than those in which seizure occurs under these conditions, for example, Operation can be performed by reducing the rolling speed by 50 mpm or reducing the rolling reduction of the stand where seizure has occurred by 1%.

In the 5-stand cold tandem rolling mill shown in Fig. 2, a cemented carbide composite sleeve roll is used as a work roll, a low carbon hot-rolled steel strip with a thickness of 3.5 mm is rolled with 5 stands, and the exit side thickness is 0.6. The seizure limit rolling speed was investigated by gradually increasing the rolling speed to mm (reduction rate 82.9%).
[0033]
At that time, the cemented carbide composite sleeve roll is incorporated into two of the plurality of stands, the fourth and fifth stands, and the fourth and fifth stands supply cooling water without supplying rolling oil to the work rolls. In addition, a work roll made of high-speed steel was incorporated in the other stand, and cooling water and rolling oil were supplied to the work roll to obtain an invention example.
[0034]
The cemented carbide composite sleeve roll is made of a powder mixture of 10 mass% Co added to WC, and four hollow molded body members having an outer diameter of 650 mmφ, a thickness of 50 mmt and a width of 500 mmL are prepared by the method described above. The
On the other hand, as a conventional example, a work roll made of high-speed steel was incorporated in all the stands, cooling water and rolling oil were supplied to each work roll, and the other conditions were the same as in the invention example.
[0035]
As a result, seizure rolling speed 2000mpm the invention example is not generated, with baked occurs in the fifth stand work roll at the rolling speed 1000mpm the conventional example.
For this reason, in the invention example, the rolling efficiency was able to be doubled compared with the prior art example.
In addition, under the same work roll conditions as in the above invention example, when the rolling reduction was increased while the rolling speed was 1000 mpm, the delivery side plate thickness of 0.4 mm (the rolling reduction of 88.6%), which is the limit thickness of the rolling mill. However, no seizure occurred on the work rolls of any of the stands. In the inventive example, chattering did not occur in any of the stands .
[0036]
Note that the present invention is not limited to rolling steel, such as low carbon steel and SUS430 ferritic stainless steel, and can of course be widely applied to rolling metal strips in general. Absent.
[0037]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, in the cold tandem rolling mill, since it is possible to economically apply the cemented carbide composite sleeve roll, it is possible to suppress the roll cost and between the work roll and the metal strip. Baking can be prevented, and high speed rolling and high pressure rolling reduction are possible.
[0038]
For this reason, there is an industrially beneficial effect that the rolling efficiency is remarkably improved and the metal strip can be produced economically.
