Description

【0001】

[0001]
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a petri dish used for bacterial culture, cell culture, tissue culture and the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Currently, culture petri dishes with various sizes are used. In general, as shown in FIG. 5, a circular lid body 2 having a diameter larger than that of the petri dish body 1 is fitted to the circular petri dish body 1.
[0003]
In particular, in the case of a petri dish having a large diameter, the lid 2 cannot be held with one hand, and since the shape thereof is circular, the lid 2 is easily slipped. When the petri dish 2 is lifted from the petri dish body 1 and opened, There is a problem that the cover body 2 is dropped due to being held or damaged by hitting the lid 2 against another container or tool.
[0004]
In particular, when the petri dish is used for cell culture or tissue culture, aseptic operation is performed in a clean bench, it is necessary to pay close attention to the holding and transporting of the petri dish body 1 and the lid 2.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems. When aseptically cultivating bacteria, cells, tissue culture, etc., the lid is easy to hold with one hand and is difficult to slide. The purpose is to provide a petri dish with excellent functionality that is not damaged.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention provides a petri dish comprising a petri dish body and a lid fitted to the petri dish body, wherein a plurality of vertically long protrusions are provided on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion of the lid body in a vertical direction with respect to the top surface portion of the lid body The petri dish characterized by becoming is provided.
[0007]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In the present invention, the petri dish body has a bottom surface portion and a peripheral wall portion formed on the outer edge portion of the bottom surface portion. The lid body has a top surface part having a diameter larger than that of the petri dish body and a peripheral wall part formed on an outer edge part of the top surface part so that the lid body can be fitted, and the outer periphery of the peripheral wall part of the lid body A plurality of protrusions are provided on the surface.
[0008]
As the material for the petri dish body and the lid, a resin such as polystyrene, glass, or the like can be used.
[0009]
It is preferable that the height of the protrusion is 1 to 24 mm, the width is 2 to 20 mm, and the length is 3 mm or more because it is easy to be caught by a finger of a hand.
[0010]
The length is set to a length equal to or less than the height in the direction perpendicular to the top surface portion of the lid so that only the protrusions are not protruded from the lid.
[0011]
The height of the protrusion refers to the height from the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion of the lid body to the apex of the protrusion in the radial direction from the center of the lid body. The width of the protrusion refers to the width from the end to the end of the protrusion in the circumferential direction on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion of the lid. The length of the protrusion refers to the length from the end of the protrusion in the direction perpendicular to the top surface of the lid, that is, in the direction perpendicular to the petri dish.
[0012]
Three or more protrusions are provided at equal intervals on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion of the lid, and the interval between the adjacent protrusions and the protrusions can be smaller than the diameter of the lid, but the protrusion is the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion of the lid body. It is preferable that four are provided at equal intervals because it is easy to hold and it is easy to arrange several petri dishes side by side. The provision of four at equal intervals means that the peripheral wall portion of the lid body is provided so as to be divided into approximately four equal parts.
[0013]
When the outer diameter of the lid is 120 mm, for example, and four protrusions are provided at equal intervals on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion, if the height from the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion is 25 mm or more, it is adjacent The distance from the top of the projection to the top of the projection is longer than the diameter of the lid, and it does not make sense as a projection for supporting the lid with two fingers of the hand for easy grasping, When a plurality of petri dishes are juxtaposed in a flat state, the protrusions become in the way and cannot be placed efficiently.
[0014]
Since the finger does not get caught even if the height of the protrusion is too low, the height of the protrusion is preferably 1 to 24 mm.
[0015]
In a petri dish with a small diameter, the lid can be easily grasped even if there is no projection, and it is more effective to provide a projection in the petri dish whose outer diameter is 120 to 300 mm.
[0016]
【Example】
A first embodiment of the petri dish of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The petri dish is composed of a petri dish body 1 made of polystyrene and a lid 2 made of polystyrene that is fitted to the petri dish body 1.
[0017]
The petri dish body 1 has a bottom surface portion 4 having a diameter A of 141 mm and a peripheral wall portion 5 having a height B of 20 mm formed on an outer edge portion of the bottom surface portion 4 and has a wall thickness of 1.5 mm.
[0018]
The lid body 2 has a larger diameter than the petri dish body 1 so that the lid body 2 can be fitted to the petri dish body 1 (specifically, the lid body 2 can be attached to and detached from the upper opening of the petri dish body 1). The top surface portion 14 having a diameter C of 147 mm and the peripheral wall portion 15 having a height D of 12 mm formed on the outer edge portion of the top surface portion 14 have a wall thickness of 1.5 mm.
[0019]
Four protrusions 3, 3, 3, 3 having a substantially cylindrical shape are provided on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion 15 of the lid 2. The substantially cylindrical protrusion has a height H of 4 mm, a width W of 5 mm, and a length L of 11 mm, and is provided from a position 1 mm lower than the top surface portion of the lid 2.
[0020]
Since the protrusions 3, 3, 3, and 3 are provided on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion 15 of the lid 2, when the lid 2 is held by hand, as shown in FIG. The middle finger can be prevented from being missed and the petri dish can be safely and easily operated aseptically.
[0021]
Second and third embodiments of the petri dish of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. As shown in the drawing, in the second embodiment, the substantially triangular prism-shaped protrusions 3, 3, 3, 3 are in the third embodiment, and in the third embodiment, the substantially rectangular parallelepiped protrusions 3, 3, 3, 3 are formed on the peripheral wall portion of the lid 2. It is provided on the outer peripheral surface. Other points such as dimensions are the same as in the first embodiment.
[0022]
These examples show an example in which a finger is more easily caught on the protrusion 3 to further enhance the retention, but the shape of the protrusion 3 is not limited to this.
[0023]
If there are four projections 3 at equal intervals on the outer peripheral wall of the lid body 2, a plurality of petri dishes can be efficiently juxtaposed on a plane as shown in FIG. A finger is placed on 3 so that the petri dish lid can be easily held.
[0024]
【The invention's effect】
If the petri dish according to the present invention is used, the petri dish lid 2 can be easily and reliably grasped with a finger, and the lid 2, which is a drawback of the petri dish having a large diameter, is missed and dropped. Since contamination and spilling of the medium can be avoided, the present invention is extremely useful for cell culture, tissue culture and the like that require safe and easy aseptic operation.
