従来の一般住宅の浴室に使用される住宅用バスユニットの設置方法は、図3に示すように、通気口1を設けた建築物躯体の基礎2上に、上部に壁付け面3a及び立上り壁3bからなる水切り部3を形成した防水パン4又は洗場付き浴槽を載置固定し、ドア入口を除く壁付け面3a上に建築物躯体壁5との間に多少の間隙を存して壁パネル6を立設固定し、壁パネル6上に天井パネル7を載置固定するとともにドアパネル(図示せず)を固定して設置していた。そして、建築物躯体壁5とバスユニット底部、壁パネル6周囲及びバスユニット天井裏と隣室等の天井裏同士、更に、バスユニットの底部と隣室等の床下との間は、図3に示すように、常に通気口1より外の空気が流通するようになっている。

以上説明した通り、本発明は、上部周囲に壁付け面及び立上り壁からなる水切り部を設け、上面に浴槽を載置することができる防水パンと、防水パンの水切り部に立設される壁パネルと、壁パネル上に固定される天井パネル及びドアパネルから構成され、建築物躯体の基礎上に設置される住宅用バスユニットにおいて、前記防水パンの壁付け面及び立上り壁からなる水切り部と建築物躯体の壁面部との間を柔軟性を備えた気密テープで覆うという構成であるため、建築物躯体の壁部と防水パン又は浴槽上部の壁パネル及び天井パネルとの間隙に通気口より外気の流通を防止することができ、気密性を高めることができるとともに、バスユニット室内及び居室内の温度の低下を防止することができるという効果を有する。
