BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a remote controller for a water heater, and more specifically, rewrites information stored in a microcomputer that controls the operation of the water heater and monitors the state of the microcomputer built in the remote controller itself. The present invention relates to a remote control device having an operation mode for maintenance.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent water heaters, the operation of each part of the water heater, such as a burner, a solenoid valve, and a blower fan, is all controlled by a microcomputer constituting a control center. Such a microcomputer for controlling a water heater is internally set according to the type of water heater used so that it can be used for various types of water heaters having different fuel types (for example, gas types) and exhaust variations. Switching is possible.
[0003]
Conventionally, switching of the internal settings of such a microcomputer has been performed by setting jumper wires or setting a dip switch on a control board on which the microcomputer is mounted. However, recently, for the purpose of facilitating work and reducing the number of parts, information related to these internal settings is stored in advance in the microcomputer of the water heater, and the switch operation of the remote control device connected to the water heater is operated. Has proposed a hot water supply system in which the stored internal settings can be rewritten, and such a method is becoming mainstream at present.

However, on the other hand, once the internal settings of such a microcomputer are set at the time of shipment of the water heater from the factory or at the installation site, it is not necessary to change unless each part of the water heater is replaced thereafter. Therefore, when rewriting such internal settings by remote control operation, the remote control device has an operation mode dedicated to rewriting, and the operation for shifting to the operation mode for performing such setting rewrite is performed by normal remote control operation. It is supposed to be caused by a specific switch operation.
[0005]
Specifically, for example, an operation such as pressing a specific operation switch on the remote control device for a predetermined time (for example, 5 seconds) or longer, or simultaneously pressing a plurality of (for example, two) operation switches is adopted. This prevents the water heater user from accidentally shifting to the setting rewriting operation mode.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, if a transition to the setting rewriting operation mode is performed by an operation method that is not performed by such daily switch operation, for example, a person who frequently performs internal setting of a microcomputer such as a water heater installer. The above-mentioned specific switch operation has to be performed one by one, which makes the work complicated and troublesome.
[0007]
On the other hand, in the remote control device provided with the operation mode for setting rewriting described above, in addition to the operation mode for setting rewriting, a mode for monitoring (monitoring) the operation status of each part of the water heater is provided. In this operation mode, only the hot water heater is conventionally monitored, and information related to the microcomputer on the remote control device side, such as the version of the microcomputer mounted on the remote control device and the version of the board on which the microcomputer is mounted, can be monitored. Nothing was offered.
[0008]
That is, in the remote control device that can handle the multiple types of water heaters as described above, information for remote control of a plurality of types of water heaters is stored in the microcomputer of the remote control device, but is incorporated in the microcomputer. It is not possible to determine whether or not the information to be updated is the latest information (that is, whether or not the information can correspond to the new model of the water heater) simply by looking at the appearance of the remote control device. Therefore, such a determination is made exclusively by confirming the version of the microcomputer or the version of the board on which the microcomputer is mounted, but the remote control device installed in the bathroom is waterproofed, There is a problem that it is not preferable to remove the case of the remote control device for such determination.
[0009]
The present invention has been made in view of such conventional problems, and the object of the present invention is to make it possible to shift to an operation mode for setting rewriting without troublesome switch operation, and to be mounted on a remote control device. An object of the present invention is to provide a remote controller for a water heater that can easily check information related to a microcomputer.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a remote controller for a water heater according to claim 1 of the present invention includes an operation switch for remotely operating the water heater,In a remote control device with an operation mode for maintenance that rewrites information such as the type of fuel and exhaust variations provided for the internal setting of the microcomputer of the water heater,On condition that the power supply to the remote control device is started,Of the remote control deviceOperation mode is from normal operation modeFor maintenance aboveSet to transition to the operation modeThe information rewritten by the operation of the operation switch under the operation mode for maintenance is determined by a predetermined switch operation that is not performed by a normal remote control operation, and the rewritten information is transmitted to the water heater. Is configured asIt is characterized by that.
[0011]
That is, according to the first aspect of the present invention, the transition to the maintenance operation mode (hereinafter referred to as the maintenance writer mode) in which the internal settings of the microcomputer are rewritten simultaneously with the start of power supply to the remote control device. As a result, it is possible to easily enter the maintenance writer mode without requiring a complicated switch operation. The information rewritten by operating the operation switch under the operation mode for maintenance is determined by a predetermined switch operation that is not performed by a normal remote control operation such as simultaneous pressing of the up switch and the down switch, for example. The maintenance writer mode is a dedicated operation mode for rewriting the internal settings of the microcomputer built in the
[0032]
In the present invention, the transition to the maintenance writer mode and the cancellation thereof are performed according to the procedure shown in the flowchart of FIG.
[0033]
That is, the transition to the maintenance writer mode is made on condition that the remote control device 1 is powered on (start of power supply) without requiring any special operation on the remote control device 1, as shown in step S1 and step S2 of FIG. Done automatically.
[0034]
That is, the maintenance writer mode is an operation mode in which the internal setting of the

Then, when the mode is shifted to the maintenance writer mode in this way, the process in the remote control device 1 shifts to the subsequent step S3 in FIG. 3 to determine whether or not the internal setting rewrite operation has been performed in the maintenance writer mode. To be judged.
[0036]
The details of the rewriting operation of the internal setting are based on the operating method set in the microcomputer of the remote control device 1. However, if the switch configuration is as shown in FIG. (For example, rewritable items such as gas type and exhaust variation) are selected, and specific contents (for example, 13A when the gas type is selected) for each item with the

[0039]
On the other hand, if the above setting operation is not performed in step S3 in FIG. 3, the process proceeds to step S5 in FIG. 3, and the elapsed time from the transition to the maintenance writer mode is a predetermined elapsed time (for example, 10 minutes). The maintenance writer mode is canceled when no switch operation is performed despite the elapse of a predetermined time. At that time, although not particularly illustrated, operations other than the above-described internal setting rewriting operation (for example, in the above example, other than the setting
[0040]
This is because when the power supply is started again after the power supply is temporarily cut off due to a power failure or the like, the remote control device 1 of the present invention automatically shifts to the maintenance writer mode. This is to prevent the user from rewriting the setting by mistake, and therefore the setting of the predetermined elapsed time can be appropriately changed in consideration of such circumstances.
[0041]
Further, as a process after the maintenance writer mode is canceled, it is preferable to return to the normal operation mode. However, for example, the user of the water heater erroneously operates due to the circumstances described above during the process of step S5 in FIG. When the operation on / off
[0042]
As described above, according to the present invention, the mode is shifted to the maintenance writer mode at the same time when the power to the remote control device 1 is turned on, so that the mode can be easily shifted to the maintenance writer mode without performing a troublesome operation. Moreover, the setting of the microcomputer is rewritten when the

Next, the transition to the maintenance monitor mode and the release procedure thereof will be described based on the flowchart of FIG.
[0048]
That is, for the transition to the maintenance monitor mode, first, in step S1 in FIG. 4, an operation for shifting to the mode is performed. Specifically, as this operation, for example, an operation which is not performed by a normal remote control operation, such as simultaneous long pressing of the

Therefore, hereinafter, a case where information related to the remote control device 1 is selected will be described. In this case, when display of information on the remote control device 1 is selected, the screen of the variable
[0051]
In this embodiment, the version (marking name) of the microcomputer mounted on the remote control device 1 is first displayed on the remote control information display screen. Since the seal name is displayed based on information stored in advance in the microcomputer, the remote controller 1 according to the present invention can confirm the version of the built-in microcomputer only by a switch operation. .
[0052]
While the seal name is displayed, it is determined whether or not an operation for exiting the maintenance monitor mode has been performed inside the remote control device 1 (see step S4 in FIG. 4), and an operation for requesting the display of the next item is performed. A determination is made as to whether or not it has been made (see step S5 in FIG. 4). When an operation for exiting the maintenance monitor mode is performed, the process jumps to step S9 in FIG. 4 to end the maintenance monitor mode, and the remote control device 1 returns to the normal operation mode. If an operation for requesting the display of the next item (request for increasing the item) is performed here, the process proceeds to step S6 in FIG. 4 to display the next display item (in the illustrated example, whether or not the jumper is connected to the remote control device 1). Information) is displayed. It is to be noted that, during the display of the next item, whether or not the operation for exiting the maintenance monitor mode has been performed or whether the item up operation has been performed is the same as in steps S4 and S5 in FIG. (See 4 steps S7 and S8).
[0053]
Here, the operation for increasing the item and the operation for exiting the maintenance monitor mode are performed by the operation method set in the microcomputer of the remote control device 1 as in the case of the maintenance writer mode described above. The up operation is performed by operating the setting
[0054]
As described above, the remote control device 1 of the present invention is configured to display the information of the remote control device 1 in the maintenance monitor mode. For example, the version of the microcomputer mounted on the remote control device 1 can be confirmed, The version of the board on which the computer is mounted can be confirmed, and further, the communication history of the remote control device 1 and the jumper connection status can be confirmed only by the switch operation, and information necessary for maintenance inspection can be easily displayed.
[0055]
The embodiment described above shows a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to this, and various design changes can be made within the scope of the invention.
[0056]
For example, in the above embodiment, only items that can be displayed by the internal processing of the remote control device 1 are shown as items that can be monitored in the maintenance monitor mode. However, for example, the switch connection confirmation ( In other words, it is possible to confirm whether or not the microcomputer recognizes the switch operation with certainty. With such a configuration, it is possible to easily check a contact failure of the switch.
[0057]
In the above embodiment, specific switch operation contents have been described based on the external appearance of the remote control device shown in FIG. 2, but these can be appropriately changed depending on the type of operation switch of the remote control device used. Of course.
[0058]
【The invention's effect】
As described in detail above, according to the remote controller for a water heater of the present invention, the remote controller can rewrite the setting of the operation mode of the water heater on the condition that power supply to the remote controller is started. Since the operation mode is shifted to the maintenance operation mode to be performed, it is possible to easily shift to the maintenance operation mode without requiring a complicated operation when rewriting the internal setting.
[0059]
In addition, when a predetermined operation switch is not operated within a predetermined time after shifting to the maintenance operation mode, or when an operation switch other than the predetermined operation switch is operated within the predetermined time, By setting so that the operation mode for maintenance is canceled, even when the operation mode is shifted to the maintenance operation mode in an unintended state due to a power failure or the like, setting rewriting due to an erroneous operation is prevented.
