[0002]
[Prior art]
The recording method using a continuous jet printer is mainly used for industrial purposes, and as a jet printer ink used for this, ink using a ketone solvent has been used. In recent years, there is a problem of hygiene, and as such inks for jet printers, inks mainly composed of alcohol solvents having low odor and low toxicity, particularly inks mainly composed of ethanol are used.
[0003]

[0004]
As an ink satisfying such a demand, an ink using a rosin-modified maleic acid resin as a binder resin has been proposed (JP-A-2-155963, etc.), but the adhesiveness and adhesion are still insufficient. is there.
[0005]
In order to solve this problem, it has been proposed to use nitroserose as a binder resin. However, when moisture in the air is mixed, the viscosity increases, the resin, the colorant is precipitated, etc. There are problems such as causing warping, poor temporal stability, and poor print quality.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]

It is an object of the present invention to provide a jet printer ink composition used in a jet printer apparatus and a recording method using the same.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of researches to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present inventors have made soling by adding propylene glycol monomethyl ether and / or propylene glycol monoethyl ether to a jet printer ink using nitroserose as a binder resin. It has been found that the deterioration of the stability over time and the deterioration of the print quality can be solved, and the present invention has been completed.
[0008]
That is, the present invention may contain coloring agents, nitrocellulose, Ri primarily name from the soluble plasticizer, solvent mixtures der Ru ink composition for jet printer with a lower alcohol or said lower alcohol and another organic solvent having 1 to 4 carbon atoms The present invention relates to an ink composition for a jet printer, wherein propylene glycol monomethyl ether and / or propylene glycol monoethyl ether is contained in the ink in an amount of 5 to 30% by weight.

The present invention relates to a recording method characterized by performing recording by a continuous injection charging method.
[0011]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail.
[0012]
First, examples of the colorant used in the ink composition for a jet printer of the present invention include C.I. I. Solvent Black 22, 23, 27, 29, 34, 43, 47, 123, C.I. I. Solvent Yellow 19, 21, 32, 61, 79, 80, 81, 82, C.I. I. Solvent Red 8, 35, 83, 84, 100, 109, 118, 119, 121, 122, 160, C.I. I. Examples thereof include oil-soluble metal-containing dyes such as Solvent Blue 25, 55 and 70, azo pigments, dioxazine pigments, quinacridone pigments, nitro pigments, phthalocyanine pigments, organic pigments such as lakes of various dyes, carbon black, and titanium oxide. . However, the colorant that can be used in the present invention is not limited thereto. These colorants can be used alone or in admixture of two or more.
[0013]
Among these, it is preferable to use an oil-soluble metal-containing dye from the viewpoint of stable jetting and water resistance.
[0014]
Further, the content of these colorants in the ink composition is preferably in the range of 0.1 to 15% by weight. When the content of the colorant is less than 0.1% by weight, the color density is lowered. On the other hand, when the content exceeds 15% by weight, it becomes difficult to use from the viewpoint of ink viscosity and fluidity.
[0015]
As the nitrocellulose used in the ink composition for a jet printer of the present invention, any known nitrocellulose conventionally used in ink jet ink compositions can be used.
[0016]
There are various types of nitrocellulose with different degrees of polymerization and nitrogen atom content in the nitrocellulose, and when they are dissolved, they have various viscosities, so that they match the viscosity of the intended ink composition for ink jet printers. Those having various viscosities are appropriately selected and used.
[0017]
The content of nitrocellulose is not particularly limited and may be an amount suitable for the required fixing property, but is preferably 1 to 15% by weight in the ink composition for an ink jet printer. If the content of the nitrocellulose is less than 1% by weight, the required ink film cannot be obtained, while if it exceeds 15% by weight, it becomes difficult to use from the viewpoint of ink viscosity and fluidity.
[0018]
Moreover, the ink composition for jet printers of this invention needs to contain a plasticizer as a film-forming aid.
[0019]
Examples of the plasticizer include phthalic acid alkyl esters such as phthalic acid diethyl ester and phthalic acid dibutyl ester, sebacic acid dibutyl ester and sebacic acid alkyl ester such as diethyl sebacic acid, alkyl phosphates such as tributyl phosphate, rosin-modified malein Examples include acid-soluble resins such as acid resins, acrylic resins, polyamide resins, ketone resins, and petroleum resins, and it is preferable to contain 0.1 to 5% by weight in the ink composition for inkjet printers. When the content of the plasticizer is less than 0.1% by weight, the wear resistance of the resulting film is lowered. Conversely, when the content exceeds 5% by weight, the obtained film becomes soft, so that the drying property and the film strength are lowered.
[0020]
Examples of the lower alcohol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms used in the ink composition for a jet printer of the present invention include methanol, ethanol, n-propanol, isopropanol, n-butanol and the like. Among these, the electrical conductivity of the ink, Ethanol is preferred from the viewpoint of drying properties and solvent toxicity.
[0021]
In addition, the ink composition for a jet printer of the present invention can further contain a conductivity imparting agent as necessary in order to give an appropriate electrical conductivity to the ink.
[0022]
Examples of the conductivity-imparting agent include thiocyanic acid sodium salt, potassium salt, ammonium salt, lithium nitrate, lithium acetate, lithium chloride and the like, and 0.5 wt% or less in the ink composition for ink jet printer, especially 0 It is preferable to contain 3 wt% or less. When the conductivity-imparting agent exceeds this range, there arises a problem that stable injection cannot be obtained.
[0023]
In the present invention, it is necessary to contain 5 to 30% by weight of propylene glycol monomethyl ether and / or propylene glycol monoethyl ether in the ink in order to improve the soaking resistance of the ink composition for an ink jet printer.
[0024]
When the content of the propylene glycol monomethyl ether and / or propylene glycol monoethyl ether is less than 5% by weight, the resistance to souring is not improved. On the other hand, when the content exceeds 30% by weight, the drying property of the ink is lowered.
[0025]
Moreover, in this invention, the solvent and various additives currently used for this kind of ink for inkjet printers can be contained in the range which does not reduce the performance of the ink composition for inkjet printers of this invention.
[0026]
Examples of the solvent include monohydric alcohols such as amyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, cyclohexanol and diacetone alcohol, propylene glycol such as ethylene glycol monomethyl ether, diethylene glycol monoethyl ether, diethylene glycol monobutyl ether and dipropylene glycol monoethyl ether. Alkylene glycol monoalkyl ethers other than monomethyl ether and propylene glycol monoethyl ether, alkylene glycol monoacetates such as ethylene glycol monoacetate and propylene glycol monoacetate, ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, trimethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol , Polyethylene glycol, plastic Divalent alcohols such as propylene glycol, methyl lactate, butyl lactate, organic solvents such as γ-butyrolactone can be exemplified.
[0027]
Of these, low-toxic or non-toxic benzyl alcohol, ethylene glycol, methyl lactate, butyl lactate, γ-butyrolactone and the like are preferable.
[0028]
Examples of the additive include a pH adjuster, a viscosity adjuster, a rust inhibitor, an antifoaming agent, a silicone surfactant, a fluorine-containing surfactant, and other surfactants.
[0029]
To prepare the ink composition for a jet printer of the present invention from the various materials described above, (1) when the colorant is a dye, the dye, nitrocellulose, a lower alcohol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a plasticizer, and propylene glycol Monomethyl ether and / or propylene glycol monoethyl ether, and if necessary, add a conductivity-imparting agent, other solvents, and various additives into a sealed container, stir to mix and dissolve uniformly, and then filter through a membrane filter (2) When the colorant is a pigment, the pigment, nitrocellulose, a lower alcohol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a plasticizer, propylene glycol monomethyl ether and / or propylene glycol monoethyl ether, if necessary, After mixing the conductivity imparting agent, other solvents, and various additives, the diameter is 0.2 to 3 m. Of the ceramic beads were kneaded by a circulating bead mill with grinding media, then, it can be obtained by filtration through a membrane filter.
[0030]
