本発明は空気調和機の室内機の構成に関する。

空気調和機の室内機としては例えば図3に示すように構成されたものがある。この室内機では筐体21の上部に形成された吸込口22と、下部に形成された吹出口23とを結ぶ空気通路24にエアーフィルタ25と、室内熱交換器26と、送風ファン(クロスフローファン)27が配置され、室内への風向は吹出口23に設けられた風向調節板28により調節されるようになっている。室内熱交換器26は、その前面を空気通路24の前方に傾斜させた上部熱交換器26aと、この上部熱交換器26aの上部に連設して空気通路24の後方に傾斜させた後部熱交換器26bと、上部熱交換器26aの下部に連設してほぼ垂直に立設した下部熱交換器26cとからなっている。空気通路24を構成するケーシング29には上部露受30、下部露受31などとともに、図示はされてないが室内熱交換器26を固定するためのボスその他が形成されており、背面上部には壁面32に固定された据付板33に形成されている係止部34に係止させる係止片35が設けられている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、この種の室内機では上述のように空気通路24を構成するケーシング29の背面上部に係止片35を設け、この係止片35を壁面32に固定された据付板33の係止部34に係止させるようになっているが、後部熱交換器26bの後方に形成されている空隙部は室内空気の流通経路に過ぎないため図3に示すような構造にこだわる必要性はなく、このままでは材料(樹脂)の無駄使いとなっている。したがって、本発明においては、空気調和機としての性能を低下させることなく、材料の無駄使い廃し、構成部品をより簡素化した空気調和機の室内機を提供することを目的としている。

本発明は上記の課題を解決するためになされたものであり、筐体上部の吸込口と、同筐体下部の吹出口とを結ぶ空気通路に、エアーフィルタと、室内熱交換器と、同室内熱交換器により熱交換された空気を前記吹出口へ送出する送風ファンとを設けるとともに、前記吹出口に室内への風向を調節する風向調節板を設け、壁面に固定された据付板に据付けてなるようにした空気調和機の室内機において、前記筐体を形成するケーシングの前記送風ファンより上方に位置する背面側を切欠するとともに、同切欠きに対向して配設される前記室内熱交換器の側板の一部を前記据付板に向けて延出させ、その先端部に前記据付板の係止部に係止させる係止片を設けることにした。

上記の構成であれば、据付板の係止部に係止させる係止片を室内熱交換器の側板に一体に設け、ケーシングの背面上部を切欠するようになっているので、ケーシングに使用される樹脂の量を減らすことができる。

以下、本発明の一実施例を図1〜図2に基づいて説明する。図1は室内機の内部構成を、図2は室内熱交換器と据付板の関係を表したものである。図において、1は筐体(室内機本体)、2は室内空気の吸込口、3は室内に向けた吹出口である。吸込口2と吹出口3を結ぶ空気通路4には着脱自在なエアーフィルタ5と、室内熱交換器6と、送風ファン(クロスフローファン)7が配置され、吹出口3には室内への風向を上下に調節する風向調節板8が設けられている。室内熱交換器6はその前面を空気通路4の前方に傾斜させた上部熱交換器6aと、この上部熱交換器6aの上部に連設して空気通路4の後方に傾斜させた後部熱交換器6bと、上部熱交換器換器6aの下部に連設してほぼ垂直に立設した下部熱交換器6cとからなっている。空気通路4を構成するケーシング9には上部露受10、下部露受11などとともに、図示はされてないが室内熱交換器6を固定するためのボスその他が形成されている。

以上説明したような室内機であるならば、大きな面積を占めていたケーシングの上部背面が要らなくなり、樹脂の使用量が減るとともに、後部熱交換器への空気の流れが良くなり、熱交換性能の向上、製品の軽量化、生産性の向上等が期待できる。
