[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to an improvement of a push button PM (people meter) device for measuring the viewing situation of a television individually.
[0002]
[Prior art]
One type of device that measures the television viewing status individually, such as that proposed in Japanese Patent Application No. Sho 62-130791, at the start and end of television viewing, operated push buttons assigned to each survey subject There is a device called a push button PM device.
[0003]
In this push button PM device, the investigation subject is forced to perform an originally unnecessary action of operating the push button, and thus an unconscious input mistake such as forgetting to push the button is likely to occur. Therefore, the number of people in the TV viewing area is detected by the number of people detection sensor, the number of people detected is compared with the number of push buttons indicating the viewing state of the push buttons, and an alarm is issued if they are different. Attempts have been made to prompt survey participants for correct operation. The number of people detection sensor is determined by mechanically horizontally driving a plurality of pyroelectric elements using thin films, such as a thin film infrared image sensor system “IS-1” manufactured by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. A type of sensor that measures the temperature distribution in the area and processes the obtained thermal image data to output the number of people, the position of each person, and the like is used. In addition, since this type of sensor is accompanied by mechanical movement, it takes about 2 seconds for one detection operation.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, by issuing an alarm according to the difference between the output of the number detection sensor and the state of the push button, it is possible to prompt the surveyed person to perform the correct operation, thereby preventing unintentional input mistakes, etc. However, the point that must be taken into consideration at this time is a problem caused by erroneous detection of the number of people detection sensor. That is, the number of people detection sensor is not limited to the above-described example. Generally, when a detection operation is performed while a person is moving, the detection accuracy is lowered. For example, the number of people detection sensor is activated at certain time intervals. In the method, it is erroneously detected that a person is moving at the time of activation, and as a result, an erroneous alarm is issued. False alarms not only cause unnecessary stress on the survey subjects, but if they are repeated, distrust is raised, and in the worst case, investigation cooperation cannot be obtained.
[0005]
The present invention has been proposed in view of such circumstances, and its purpose is to reduce the probability of false detection by controlling the detection timing of the number of people detection sensor and to prevent false alarms as much as possible. There is.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a push button PM device that measures the viewing situation of each individual television by operating the push button assigned to each survey subject at the start and end of viewing of the television. , A number detection sensor for detecting the number of persons present in the television viewing area, a pyroelectric sensor for detecting the movement of a person in the television viewing area, an alarm means for issuing an alarm for prompting a push button, and the pyroelectric A number detection sensor control unit for detecting the number of persons by the number detection sensor at a timing when the movement of the person is detected by the sensor and immediately after that the movement of the person is not detected, and outputting the detected number of persons, and the number detection sensor control The number of detected people output from the section and the number of push buttons in the viewing state among the push buttons are compared. And a warning activation means for activating the alarm means.
[0007]
Further, instead of the above-described number-of-people detection sensor control unit, the following number-of-people detection sensor control unit is also employed.
The number of people detected by the number detection sensor is continuously performed several times at the timing when the movement of the person is detected by the pyroelectric sensor and the movement of the person is not detected immediately thereafter, and the detected number of persons is a predetermined number of times. Number of people detection sensor control unit that outputs the number of people detected when it becomes equal continuously.
The timing when the TV is turned on, the timing when the push button is remotely operated by a remote control transmitter, and the timing when the movement of the person is detected by the pyroelectric sensor and the movement of the person is not detected immediately thereafter, A number detection sensor control unit that performs the number detection by the number detection sensor continuously a plurality of times, and outputs the detected number of people when the detected number of people is continuously equal to a predetermined number of times.
[0008]
[Action]
In the push button PM device according to the present invention, since the movement of the person is detected by the pyroelectric sensor and the movement of the person is not detected immediately after that, the person detection sensor is activated to perform the detection. In this state, the number of people detection is performed by the number of people detection sensor.

【The invention's effect】
According to the push button PM device of the present invention described above, the following effects can be obtained.
[0055]
Since the person detection sensor detects the state where the person is almost stationary and detects the number of persons, the accuracy of detecting the number of persons is improved, and therefore the probability of erroneously issuing an alarm is lowered.
[0056]
When the surveyed person stops viewing and exits the viewing area, or enters the viewing area to view the opposite, the movement of the person is detected by the pyroelectric sensor, and the number of people is detected by capturing the still state immediately after that. Since detection by the sensor is performed and an alarm is issued as necessary, an alarm can be issued by detecting the number of people at a timing at which viewing / listening is likely to be stopped.
[0057]
Since the number of people detection sensor is not always detected, but the detection operation is performed only at a predetermined timing, the life of the number of people detection sensor can be extended compared to the case of continuous operation.
[0058]
When the same detection result is obtained continuously for a predetermined number of times from the number of people detection sensor, the detection result is used to improve the number of people detection accuracy and as a result further increase the probability of false alarms. Can be reduced.
