【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、液体を吸収、保持する機能を有する液体吸収性シート、および該液体吸収性シートを用いて形成されるシートや衣類に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
日常生活において、液体吸収性の素材が必要とされる状況は非常に多い。
このような用途として、例えば、湯上がり用、厨房や洗面所用のマットやテーブルクロス、寝具のシーツ等のシート類、衣類や靴の汗取り用パッド等が挙げられる。これらを形成する素材としては、マットであればタオル地、テーブルクロスやシーツ類は綿等の布地、汗取り用パッドは厚手の布地などがそれぞれ用いられていた。

タオル地は、液体吸収力はあるものの、厚みが大きく、また吸収した液体が多くなってくると、液体が逆流し、濡れ戻り感がある。さらに、厚みが大きいため、洗濯しても乾燥しにくいという問題がある。

テーブルクロスやシーツ類、汗取り用パッドに用いられる布地は、単位体積あたりの液体吸収量が少なく、また液体の保持性も少ないため、液体量が多くなると吸収しきれないという問題がある。特に、高齢者や乳幼児の場合、就寝中に失禁する場合があり、シーツ類は液体吸収性、液体保持性が高いものが望まれるが、繰り返し使用が可能で、しかも簡単に洗濯できる素材のものは得られていなかった。

汗取りパッドは、吸収性を高めようとすると厚みが大きくなり、衣類の着用感や外観が悪くなる。液体吸収性を高めた使い捨てのものは存在するが、価格が高く、日常的に使用するとコストが非常に高くなる。また、使用済みのパッドはゴミとして廃棄するしかないが、、近年の環境保全およびリサイクルの傾向に反するという問題もある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明は、厚みが薄いにも関わらず、確実に水、汗等の液体を吸収して、洗濯等により繰り返し使用が可能で尿吸収力も低下せず、低コストな液体吸収性シートおよびそれを用いたシートあるいは衣類を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、一方の側より液体を吸収し、他方の側へ該液体を放出する機能を有する液体吸収放出体を、また該液体吸収放出体の液体放出機能を有する側へ防水体を設け、さらに該液体吸収放出体と該防水体との間に、表面を多数の区画に区分するよう液体吸収性ポリマー層を設けた液体吸収貯蔵体を設けてなることを特徴とする液体吸収性シート、およびそれを用いたシートあるいは衣類を提供するものである。

本発明において「シート」とは、通常一般のシート形状のものを指し、マット類や該シートを用いて形成されるカバー類も含む。例えば、湯上がり用や、厨房、洗面所、玄関等の床面上で使用するマット、寝具のシーツ、枕カバー、布団等のカバー、座布団カバー、椅子等の家具用カバー、テーブルクロス等が挙げられる。

以下に図面を用いて、本発明をさらに詳細に説明するが、本発明はこれに限定されるものではない。

図１は本発明の液体吸収性シートの構成の一実施例を示す断面図である。本発明の液体吸収性シートは、液体吸収放出体１を設け、該液体吸収放出体１の液体放出機能を有する側へ防水体２を設け、該液体吸収放出体１と該防水体２との間に、表面を多数の区画に区分するよう液体吸収性ポリマー層３を設けた液体吸収貯蔵体４を、該液体吸収性ポリマー層３が、上記液体吸収放出体１側となるように設けて形成される。

液体吸収性ポリマー層が液体吸収貯蔵体の表面を区分する形状は、上記作用を有するのであれば特に限定はされないが、好ましくは多数の亀甲状の区画が形成されるのが良い。多数の亀甲状の区画とすることにより、図３に示すように、亀甲状模様のａの方向への液体拡散速度が、ｂの方向に比べて大きくなり、液体が素早く拡散して、迅速でスムーズな吸収が可能になる。上記亀甲状の区画の形状は、六角形の角方向の液体拡散速度が大きいため、六角形の角方向がより液体を拡散させたい方向となるようにすると上記作用より効果的に表れる。上記亀甲状の区画の形状は、六角形に類似した他の形状であってもよい。

また、該液体吸収性ポリマー層が液体吸収貯蔵体の表面を区分する大きさおよび該液体吸収性ポリマー層の厚さも、上記作用を阻害せず、充分な液体吸収性を発現することが可能であれば特に限定されない。

本発明において、液体吸収貯蔵体とは、水、汗等の液体吸収性、液体拡散性、液体保持性を有するものを意味し、シート状の形状を有する。
液体吸収貯蔵体を形成する素材としては、上記作用を有すれば特に限定されず、例えば、綿、吸水アクリル、吸水ポリエステル、キュプラ、レーヨン等の織物、ニット、不織布等が挙げられる。

本発明において、液体吸収性ポリマー層を形成する素材としては、通常一般の生理用パッドや使い捨ておむつに用いられる液体吸収性ポリマーを使用することができ、例えばビニルアルコール−アクリル酸塩共重合体、アクリル酸ソーダ重合体等の吸水性ポリマーが挙げられる。該液体吸収性ポリマー層は、液体吸収貯蔵体の表面を多数の区画に区分するように形成することができれば、その形成方法は特に限定されない。例えば、液体吸収性ポリマーをアクリル樹脂やウレタン樹脂のエマルジョン等に分散した後、シルクスクリーン等の方法を用いて液体吸収貯蔵体の表面上にプリントする、あるいは所定のパターンのフィルムやシート状に形成した後、液体吸収貯蔵体の表面上に積層するなどの方法が挙げられる。

本発明において、液体吸収性ポリマー層は抗菌性および／または防臭性を有するのが好ましい。抗菌性および／または防臭性の付与方法としては、特に限定されず、液体状あるいは粉末状のセラミック系消臭剤等（大和化学工業（株）製：アモルデン、またはセラモンド、住友大阪セメント（株）製：パウダーセラミック等）を、液体吸収性ポリマーの分散時に配合する等の方法が挙げられる。

本発明において、液体吸収量は基本的に液体吸収貯蔵体の厚みによって決められ、該厚みは用途および所望の液体吸収量に応じて適宜設定することができるが、該厚みを２００ｇ／１００ｃｍ^３程度の液体を吸収できるようにするのが好ましい。

本発明において、液体吸収放出体とは、一方の側より液体を吸収し、他方の側へ該液体を放出し、液体の逆流を防ぐ液体吸収放出機能を有するものを意味し、シート状の形状を有する。液体吸収放出体を構成する素材としては、上記機能を有すれば特に限定はされないが、例えばポリエステルを主体とするメッシュ状の布地が挙げられる。市販品としては、（株）クラレ製のウォーターマジック等が挙げられる。

また、本発明において、液体吸収放出体は、好ましくは抗菌性および／または防臭性を有するのが良い。抗菌性および／または防臭性の付与方法としては、特に限定されず、液体吸収放出体を構成する素材そのものに付与する方法、あるいはシート状に形成した後、抗菌性および／または防臭性を発現させる物質を付着させる方法が用いられる。抗菌性および／または防臭性を液体吸収放出体を構成する素材そのものに付与する方法としては、光触媒・化学中和反応による抗菌性あるいは防臭性を発現するセラミックス系等の消臭剤を、混在あるいは塗布させた繊維等を用いる方法が挙げられる。このような、作用を有する繊維として、市販品の（株）クラレ製のシャインアップ等が挙げられる。液体吸収放出性と抗菌性および／または防臭性を兼ね備えるためには、上記ポリエステルのような液体吸収放出性繊維と、抗菌性および／または防臭性を付与させた繊維とを混織させたものを用いれば良い。抗菌性および／または防臭性を付与させた繊維は、抗菌性および／または防臭性を有し、混織後に液体吸収放出性を阻害しなければ、その素材および混織割合は特に限定されず、液体吸収放出性と抗菌性および／または防臭性の兼ね合い、混織後の強度等に応じて適宜選択すれば良い。好ましくは、液体吸収放出性繊維と、抗菌性および／または防臭性を付与させた繊維との比が３０％程度であるのが良い。

また、シート状に形成した後、抗菌性および／または防臭性を発現させる物質を付着させる方法としては、通常一般の方法を用いることができ、例えば、液体セラミック系消臭剤（例えば、大和化学工業（株）製：セラモンド等）等を液体吸収放出体の両面または片面に塗布する方法が挙げられる。
