Tcap=〔(PA −PR )(r1 2 −r2 2 )×π×μ×r3 〕/KS
【0040】
LU=0のコンバータ領域であれば、制御をそのまま終了してトルクコンバータ2をコンバータ状態にし、LU=1のロックアップ領域であれば、以下のようにしてトルクコンバータ2のロックアップ制御を実行する。
【0052】

(LUdty+LUold×Kr)/(Kr+1)→LUdty

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a lock-up control device for, for example, setting a torque converter used by being inserted into a transmission system of an automatic transmission in a lock-up state in which input and output elements are directly connected.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Since the torque converter transmits power between input and output elements via a fluid, it performs a torque fluctuation absorbing function and a torque increasing function, but has poor transmission efficiency.
For this reason, in a torque converter inserted into the transmission system of a vehicular automatic transmission, the torque converter is required under running conditions (in the lock-up region) where these torque fluctuation absorbing function and torque increasing function are unnecessary. In the lock-up state in which the input / output elements are mechanically directly connected by the engagement of the lock-up clutch, under the other driving conditions (in the converter region), the torque converter is directly connected by releasing the lock-up clutch. The so-called lock-up type torque converter, which is in a converter state in which is released, is widely used today.
[0003]
Conventionally, lock-up control of this type of torque converter has been performed as described in, for example, "NISSN RE4R01A Model Full-range Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission Maintenance Manual" (A261C07) issued in March 1987 by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. It has been customary to have a gain map using the throttle opening and the vehicle speed as parameters, thereby estimating the load state of the lock-up clutch, and controlling the engagement of the lock-up clutch according to the load state.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in such a conventional lock-up control method, when the shift point is greatly changed, it is necessary to tune the gain for each shift point, and there has been a major problem that the number of matching steps becomes enormous. .
[0005]
Heretofore, as a lock-up control mechanism, as described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. H8-14381, the present applicant has provided a differential pressure control valve for electronically controlling the differential pressure itself of the lock-up clutch before and after. It has been proposed that the lock-up clutch be engaged with the applied differential pressure to bring the torque converter into a lock-up state in which the input and output elements are directly connected.
According to such a lock-up control mechanism, the differential pressure across the lock-up clutch, that is, the engagement force of the lock-up clutch, is uniquely determined by the control command to the differential pressure control valve regardless of the pressure change of the hydraulic oil toward the torque converter. As a result, the engagement force of the lock-up clutch can be accurately controlled, and accurate transient control thereof is also possible.
[0006]
The first aspect of the present invention uses the differential pressure control means that electronically controls the differential pressure itself of the lock-up clutch as described above, and minimizes the response delay without requiring a huge number of matching steps. It is another object of the present invention to provide a lock-up control device for a torque converter that can achieve both reduction of lock-up shock and prevention of burn-out of lock-up clutch facing.
[0007]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, the relationship between the control command to the differential pressure control means used in the first aspect of the invention and the engagement torque capacity of the lock-up clutch is determined by the source pressure of the differential pressure control means and the engine speed. It is an object of the present invention to ensure that the operation and effect of the first invention can be more surely achieved irrespective of the change of.
[0008]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, the relationship between the control command and the engagement torque capacity is made accurate regardless of a change in the transmission operating oil temperature, so that the operation and effect of the first aspect of the present invention can be further ensured. The purpose is to be able to be achieved.
[0009]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, similarly, the relationship between the control command and the engagement torque capacity is made to be accurate even if the drive voltage of the differential pressure control means changes. The purpose is to be able to be achieved more reliably.
[0010]
A fifth object of the present invention is to ensure that both the effect of reducing the lock-up shock and the effect of preventing the burnout of the clutch facing in the first invention are achieved regardless of the vehicle driving state.
[0011]
A sixth aspect of the present invention aims to propose a monitoring target of a vehicle driving state in which the operation and effect of the fifth aspect are suitably achieved.
[0012]
According to a seventh aspect of the present invention,This is a countermeasure technology when the transmission torque of the torque converter changes during the lock-up control process.You.
[0013]
In particular,It is an object of the present invention to propose a lock-up control device for a torque converter in which the operation and effect of the first invention are reliably achieved even when the transmission torque of the torque converter changes in the lock-up control process.
[0014]
Claim8No. described in8The present invention avoids the control unnaturalness in which the control command to the differential pressure control means changes remarkably rapidly compared to the response of the lock-up control mechanism, and the control command is executed after a large time delay. With the goal.
[0015]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
For these purposes, first, the lock-up control device of the torque converter in the first invention is:
A differential pressure control means for electronically controlling the differential pressure itself before and after the lock-up clutch is provided, and the lock-up clutch is engaged by the differential pressure controlled by the means to bring the torque converter into a lock-up state in which the input and output elements are directly connected. Lock-up control device,
I asked in advance,A control command to the differential pressure control means,Should be obtained by this control commandBased on the relationship with the engagement torque capacity of the lock-up clutch, an initial value of the control command for setting the engagement torque capacity to 0, and a control command target value for the engagement torque capacity corresponding to the torque converter transmission torque, respectively. Asked,
When the torque converter is locked up, a control command to the differential pressure control means is set to a predetermined value from an initial value of the control command to a target value of the control command so that the engagement shock of the lock-up clutch is reduced and the clutch facing burnout is prevented. The lock-up control device for a torque converter according to a second aspect of the present invention,

[0017]
The lock-up control device for a torque converter according to the third invention is the lock-up control device according to the first or second invention,

The relationship between the previously obtained control command to the differential pressure control means and the engagement torque capacity of the lock-up clutch is modified so as to always match the actual situation according to the drive voltage of the differential pressure control means. It is characterized by the following.
[0019]
The lock-up control device for a torque converter according to a fifth aspect of the present invention is the lock-up control device according to any one of the first to fourth aspects.

[0023]
No.8The lockup control device for a torque converter according to the present invention7In the invention,
The present invention is characterized in that a time change ratio of a control command to the differential pressure control means is limited.
[0024]
【The invention's effect】
The differential pressure control means electronically controls the differential pressure across the lock-up clutch, and the lock-up clutch is engaged by the electronically controlled differential pressure to bring the torque converter into a lock-up state in which the input and output elements are directly connected.
By the way, in the first invention, it is determined in advance.,A control command to the differential pressure control means,Should be obtained by this control commandBased on the relationship with the engagement torque capacity of the lock-up clutch, an initial value of the control command for setting the engagement torque capacity to 0 and a control command target value for the engagement torque capacity corresponding to the torque converter transmission torque are obtained. ,
At the time of lock-up of the torque converter, a control command to the differential pressure control means is set to a predetermined value from an initial value of the control command to a target value of the control command, so as to reduce the engagement shock of the lock-up clutch and prevent the clutch facing burnout. Over time, it is ramped up with a corresponding time gradient.
[0025]
Therefore, in the first invention, the lock-up clutch immediately reduces the engagement torque capacity to 0 at the initial value of the control command and completes the loss stroke not involving the shock quickly. Can be minimized.
After that, the control command is changed from the above initial value to the control command target value which is the fastening torque capacity corresponding to the torque converter transmission torque. The lock-up clutch is set in advance to reduce the engagement shock and prevent the clutch facing from burning out.Predetermined timeToOver time,
Transient control that realizes both reduction of lock-up shock and prevention of burn-out of lock-up clutch facing without the need for enormous matching man-hours has been realized. Thus, while reducing shock, burn-out of lock-up clutch facing has been achieved. Lockup can be completed in a manner that does not occur.
[0026]
In the second invention, the relationship between the previously obtained control command to the differential pressure control means and the engagement torque capacity of the lock-up clutch is determined by determining the source pressure of the differential pressure control means or the rotation of the engine at a stage preceding the torque converter. Depending on the number or both, we will modify it to match the actual situation,
The relationship between the control command and the engagement torque capacity used in the first invention is accurate irrespective of the change in the source pressure of the differential pressure control means and the engine speed, and the above-described operation and effect of the first invention is more reliably achieved. can do.
[0027]
In the third invention, the relationship between the control command and the engagement torque capacity is corrected so as to always match the actual situation according to the transmission operating oil temperature.
The relationship between the control command and the engagement torque capacity is always accurate irrespective of the change in the transmission operating oil temperature, and the above-described effects of the first invention can be more reliably achieved.
[0028]
In the fourth invention, the relationship between the control command and the engagement torque capacity is corrected so as to always match the actual situation according to the drive voltage of the differential pressure control means.
The relationship between the control command and the engagement torque capacity becomes accurate irrespective of the change in the drive voltage, and the above-described operation and effect of the first invention can be more reliably achieved.
[0029]
In the fifth invention, the predetermined time in the first invention is changed according to the driving state of the vehicle equipped with the torque converter.
It is possible to reliably achieve both the effect of reducing the lock-up shock and the effect of preventing the burning of the clutch facing in the first invention, regardless of the vehicle driving state.
[0030]
In the sixth invention, any one of the throttle opening of the engine, the transmission input torque, the torque converter slip amount, or any combination thereof is used as the operating state of the vehicle in the fifth invention. From
The above operation and effect in the fifth invention can be suitably achieved.
[0031]
In the seventh invention,Since the torque converter transmission torque used to determine the control command target value is the current torque converter transmission torque determined in real time, the following operational effects can be obtained.
[0032]
I meanEven when the transmission torque of the torque converter changes during the lock-up control process, the control command target value to be obtained can always be made to match the actual situation, and the operation and effect of the first invention can be reliably achieved. .
[0033]
No.8In the invention, since the time change ratio of the control command to the differential pressure control means is limited,
The control command to the differential pressure control means changes remarkably rapidly as compared with the response of the lock-up control mechanism, so that it is possible to avoid an unnatural control in that the control command is executed after a large time delay. .
[0034]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a drive system of a vehicle including a torque converter having a lock-up control device according to an embodiment of the present invention, wherein 1 is an engine as a prime mover, 2 is a torque converter, and 3 is a gear of an automatic transmission. In the present embodiment, the application pressure PAAnd release pressure PRThe lock-up control system that determines the pressure difference (lock-up clutch engagement differential pressure) itself has the following configuration.
However, the lock-up clutch engagement differential pressure (PA-PR) May be determined by a configuration as described in the above-mentioned Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 8-13881.
The lock-up control valve 11 has a line pressure PLIs the source pressure, and the signal pressure P from the lock-up

Then, the lock-up control valve 11 controls the signal pressure PSAnd the feedback release pressure PRIn one direction, the spring force of the spring 11a and the applied pressure P fed back in the other direction.AIn response, differential pressure control is performed as follows.
That is, the signal pressure P from the lock-up
On the contrary, the lock-up control valve 11 changes the signal pressure P from the lock-up
[0039]
By the way, the engagement torque capacity Tcap of the lock-up clutch 2c is equal to the lock-up clutch engagement differential pressure (PA-PR), And the facing outer diameter of the lock-up clutch 2c is r1And the facing inner diameter is r2And the facing center diameter is r3, The facing friction coefficient μ and the safety coefficient KSThen, the engagement torque capacity Tcap of the lock-up clutch is expressed by the following equation.
Tcap = [(PA-PR) (R1 2-R2 2) × π × μ × r3] / KS
[0040]
Thus, the lockup clutch engagement differential pressure (P) that determines the engagement torque capacity Tcap of the lockup clutch 2c as described above.A-PR) Is determined by the lock-up control command LUdty (ON duty) to the

Next, a lockup required time LUTIM for reading the engagement torque capacity Tcap of the lockup clutch 2c from the initial capacity LUC (0) to the target capacity LUC (Tin) corresponding to the transmission input torque Tin is read.
However, the required lock-up time LUTIM is a time that balances the reduction of the engagement shock of the lock-up clutch and the prevention of the clutch facing burning due to heat generation in a trade-off relationship. Shall be kept.
[0054]
Then, by dividing the step (TCAPdty-LUDi) between the lock-up control command target value TCAPdty and the lock-up control command initial value LUDi by the lock-up required time LUTIM, the engagement torque capacity Tcap is initialized to the initial capacity LUC ( From 0) to the lockup required time LUTIM, a time change gradient DFFdty of the lockup control command LUdty for gradually increasing to the target capacity LUC (Tin) is calculated.
Furthermore, a larger one (DFFdty, DFFmin) of the time change gradient DFFdty of the lockup control command and the lower limit value DFFmin of the time change gradient of the lockup control command that does not cause judder in the lockup clutch 2c is selected to be DFFdty. To prevent the lock-up clutch 2c from judging by preventing the time change gradient DFFdty of the lock-up control command LUdty from becoming smaller than the lower limit value DFFmin.

Therefore, the instant t in FIG.1 Thereafter, the lock-up control command LUdty is derived from the control command initial value LUDi for the initial capacity LUC (0) corresponding to the engagement torque capacity Tcap = 0., So that the lockup clutch engagement shock reduction and clutch facing burnout prevention are both compatible.Multiply the above lockup required time LUTIM by the instant tTwo In the meantime, the lockup control command target value TCAPdty for the engagement torque capacity Tcap = LUC (Tin) corresponding to the transmission input torque Tin (torque converter transmission torque) is gradually increased with a time change gradient DFFdty corresponding to the lockup control command target value TCAPdty. ,
It is possible to realize transient control that can reduce lock-up shock and prevent burnout of lock-up clutch facing without requiring enormous matching man-hours, and it is possible to achieve lock control while reducing lock-up shock. Lock-up can be completed in a manner that does not cause burning of the up-clutch facing.
[0058]
Note that the relationship between the lock-up control command LUdty, which is obtained in advance as illustrated in FIG. 9B, and the engagement torque capacity Tcap of the lock-up clutch is based on the line pressure P, which is the original pressure of the lock-up control valve 11.LWhen the pressure drops below the pressure value at the time of design, when the leakage flow rate of the valve increases, or when the oil flow balance deteriorates, the lock-up control becomes inaccurate. The state is determined by the line pressure P which is the base pressure of the lock-up control valveLOr the engine speed NeAlternatively, it is preferable that a map is provided with both of them as parameters, so that the map is constantly corrected to match the actual situation.
In this case, the line pressure P which is the source pressure of the lock-up control valve 11LChanges in the engine speed NeIrrespective of the change, the above-mentioned lock-up control can always be performed as intended, whereby the above-described operation and effect can be more reliably achieved.
[0059]
Further, the relationship between the lock-up control command LUdty obtained in advance as illustrated in FIG. 9B and the engagement torque capacity Tcap of the lock-up clutch is such that the friction coefficient μ of the lock-up clutch facing is determined by the transmission operating oil temperature Temp. Therefore, it is preferable to change the transmission operating oil temperature Temp so that it always matches the actual situation even when it changes.
In this case, regardless of the transmission working oil temperature Temp, the above-described lock-up control can always be performed as intended, and the above-described effects can be more reliably achieved.
[0060]
Further, the relationship between the lock-up control command LUdty, which is obtained in advance as illustrated in FIG. 9B, and the engagement torque capacity Tcap of the lock-up clutch also differs depending on the drive voltage of the lock-up
In this case, regardless of the drive voltage of the lock-up
[0061]
The above lock-up required time LUTIM (see FIG. 10) is preferably longer in order to reduce the engagement shock of the lock-up clutch. In this case, however, there is a concern that the clutch facing may be increased in heat generation and burnt out. In order to prevent the clutch facing burning due to the heat generation, it is better to shorten the lock-up required time LUTIM.
Accordingly, there is a trade-off relationship between the reduction of the engagement shock of the lock-up clutch and the prevention of clutch facing burnout due to heat generation, and the lock-up required time LUTIM is determined so as to achieve a good balance between them, as described above. Since a suitable lock-up required time LUTIM for that varies depending on the driving state of the vehicle,
For example, in a state where the throttle opening TVO is low and the rotation change is small, the engagement shock of the lock-up clutch tends to be conspicuous. In this state, the lock-up required time LUTIM is set longer, and conversely, In a state where the throttle opening TVO is large and the rotation change is large, it is preferable to set the lock-up required time LUTIM to be shorter by giving priority to the prevention of burnout of the clutch facing rather than the engagement shock of the lock-up clutch.
Thus, when the lock-up required time LUTIM is made variable so that the reduction in the engagement shock of the lock-up clutch and the prevention of the clutch facing burnout due to heat generation are balanced at all times in accordance with the driving state of the vehicle, the vehicle driving state Regardless, the reduction of the engagement shock of the lock-up clutch and the prevention of burnout of the clutch facing due to heat generation can always be achieved at the same time.
[0062]
In the above embodiment, in
In this case, when the engine output torque changes even during the short lock-up control period, the lock-up control command target value TCAPdty does not accurately correspond to the current transmission input torque Tin.
Therefore, it is preferable that the lock-up control command target value TCAPdty be recalculated every moment from the transmission input torque Tin detected in real time.
[0063]
FIG. 6 shows another embodiment of the present invention which makes this possible. In the control program of FIG. 5, step 53 for initial setting is replaced with initial setting as in
The initial setting in
[0064]
Next, by dividing the step (TCAPdty-LUDi) between the lockup control command target value TCAPdty and the lockup control command initial value LUDi by the lockup required time LUTIM, the engagement torque capacity Tcap is initialized to the initial capacity LUC (0). , A time-change gradient DFFdty of the lock-up control command LUdty for gradually increasing the target capacity LUC (Tin) over the lock-up required time LUTIM.
[0065]
However, in the present embodiment, the signal to be output to the lock-up

[0066]
In the present embodiment, as in
Even when the transmission input torque Ti (torque converter transmission torque) changes in the lock-up control process, the lock-up control command target value TCAPdty to be obtained can always be made to match the actual situation. The operation and effect can be always ensured.
[0067]
Further, since the time change rate of the lock-up control command LUdty is limited by the coefficient Kr as in
