本発明は、電源装置、より詳細には、電気出力形態の異なる2種類の接続端子を有し、そのうちのいずれか一方を選択して使用する電源装置に関する。

図1は、本発明が適用される電源装置の一例を示す図であるが、最初に、この図1を用いて、従来の電源装置について説明する。図1において、10は電源ボックスで、該電源ボックス10内には、電気出力形態の異なる2種類の電源、例えば、直流電源,交流電源が設けられており、手動の切替スイッチ15により、出力端子11には、例えば、直流電源出力が、出力端子12には、交流電源出力が出力されるようになっている。直流電源端子11には、直流モータを駆動源とする外部機器21が、また、交流電源端子12には、交流モータを駆動源とする外部機器22が着脱自在に接続されるようになっており、手動切替スイッチ15によって使用したい方の外部機器に電源が選択されて供給されるようになっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】

【課題を解決するための手段】
請求項1の発明は、電気的出力形態の異なる2つの電気出力端子と、これら2つの電気出力端子のうちの1つを選択する手動切替スイッチとを有する電源ボックスと、該電源ボックスの前記2つの電気出力端子のそれぞれに対応して着脱自在に接続される2種類の外部機器とから成り、2種類の外部機器のうちの1つが前記2つの電気出力端子のうちの対応する1つに接続された時は、他方の電気出力端子に外部機器が接続されていないことを条件として、当該接続された電気出力端子に電力が供給されるようにしたことを特徴とする電源装置。

上述のように、電気出力形態の異なる2つの出力端子を有する従来の電源装置は、手動切替スイッチによって、選択的にいずれか一方の出力端子に電源を供給するようにしている。両方の出力端子に同時に外部機器が接続されている時は、切替スイッチによって、使用したい外部機器が接続されている方の端子に電源を供給するように選択するが、2つの外部機器が同時に接続されていることは稀であり、むしろ、いずれか一方の出力端子が使用される場合の方が多い。しかし、そのような場合でも、上記従来技術によると、切替スイッチを当該接続されている方の出力端子側に切替える必要があり、また、たまたま、当該端子側に予め切り替わっていたとしても、それを確認しなければならず、作業性が悪かった。

以上の説明から明らかなように、本発明によると、電気出力形態の異なる2つの出力端子を有する電源装置において、いずれか一方の出力端子に外部機器が接続された時に、当該接続された側の出力端子に自動的に電源が供給されるようにしたので、その都度、出力端子の電源供給状態を確認したり、更には、切替スイッチを切替えたりする必要がなくなり、使い勝手が非常によくなり、作業能率が向上する。
