従来のスチール机において、袖部に天板を取付ける構造としては、実公昭58−46674号公報に記載されたものがある。この公報記載の取付構造は、天板の後方補強部材の側面部に係合溝を形成するとともに、前方補強部材にダルマ孔となした係合孔を形成し、袖部の後桟に後向き係合爪を形成するとともに、前桟に頭付きの係合突起を固着し、天板を袖部に対して前方へスライドさせながら後部において前記係合爪を係合溝に係止させると同時に、前部において係合突起を係合孔に係合させ、この際に袖部の前桟に上方へ弾性付勢した戻り止め部材の突起の前面を、天板の前補強部材の後部面に接触させて袖部と天板との係合状態を維持するものである。
