本発明はデータの入出力操作を伴う端末装置に関し、特に弱視者に配慮したデータの入出力操作を必要とする端末装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
広く一般に普及した入出力端末のデータ入力は、キーボードによるキートップの押下によるデータ入力方法や、ディスプレイ画面またはタッチパネルに表示されている特定情報をマウスカーソルのクリックまたはフインガのタッチによるデータ入力方法で行なっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、このような操作/表示端末装置は視力の健常者向けであり、弱視者を考慮したデータ入出力処理形態にはなっていない。

そこで、弱視者が行なうデータ入出力を援用するものとして、特開平5−158607号公報では突起に代えて発熱体をマトリックス状に設け、この発熱点による熱パターンを用いた点字情報によるデータ入力を促がしているが、この場合の点字データは発熱点における熱容量不足等で顧客の指先の体温に左右されて認識不可となる欠点があり、或いは特開平3−105462号公報では端末装置の操作面の固定箇所に予め定めた点字情報を表示するのみであって、表示すべき情報は限られてしまう欠点があった。また操作情報を音声等で出力する端末装置もあるが、周辺の雑音によって聞き取り辛い場合もあり、また表示情報(例えば、金額等)が他人に知られたくない場合もあり、弱視者にとっては利用しづらい面があった。

本発明は広さの限られた端末の操作面上で、多種多様な情報を可変的に点字で表示可能に成し、弱視者が容易に利用できる点字データの入出力操作端末装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の課題は下記の如くに構成された本発明によって解決される。
図1は、本発明の原理図である。図において、1はタッチパネル、2は突起手段、3はタッチパネル1内に設けた複数の突起手段2を含む点字ブロック、4は点字ブロック3の押下をセンスする圧力センサ、5は表示読み取りすべき点字対応に表示位置の点字ブロック3内の突起位置を制御する点字データ制御部、6は点字ブロック内の突起手段2を制御する突起制御部、7は圧力センサ4の出力を検出する圧力検出部である。

【作用】
上記した図1に示す構成において、タッチパネル1には複数の点字ブロック3が配置され、おのおのの点字ブロック3内には複数の突起手段2が設けられている。点字データ制御部5は端末操作者に対する操作案内を点字情報として表示し、表示すべき点字ブロック3の位置情報と当該ブロック内で突起させるべき突起手段2の位置情報を出力する。この位置情報は突起制御部6において点字ブロック3及び当該点字ブロック3内の励起位置が指示出力され、タッチパネル1上に点字データが表示される。この点字データが表示されている点字ブロック3が端末操作者によって押下されると、圧力センサ4から信号が出力する。圧力センサ4の押下信号は圧力検出部7によって誤動作で押下された信号出力でないかが検証され、正常な信号のみが採択され、前記点字データ制御部5によって点字データ入力が誤りなく認識される。

【実施例】
以下に図2乃至図5を用いて、本発明の実施例を詳細に説明する。
図2は本発明が適用される点字ブロック3の突起位置選択説明図である。同図(A)は点字の突起位置選択対応図であり、図において31−1乃至31−nはそれぞれ点字ブロックを示し、21で示す四角形は突起で網掛は突起状態を示している。また、英字YとXは選択信号線を示し、その他の図1と同一符号は同一物を示す。同図(B)は突起位置選択の模式回路図であり、それぞれの突起21はクロスする信号線(X,Y)の交点として選択されるものである。

この選択回路によって、同図(A)の場合、第1点字ブロック31−1は(Y2,X1),(Y1,X2),(Y3,X2)の三点が選択され網掛で示した位置に突起が生じている。次の第2点字ブロック31−2は選択されないので突起は生ぜず、第3点字ブロック31−3は(Y1,X5),(Y3,X6)の二点が選択され網掛で示した位置に突起が生じている。

弱視者の顧客はこのタッチパネル1上の点字ブロック31−1〜31−nを指先等で触れることで容易に現在表示されている情報を知ることが出来る。そして、表示中の情報が入力を案内する情報であれば、当該点字ブロック(31−1,31−3)を押下する。押下された点字ブロック3に設けられている圧力センサ4が応答して出力を発する。本実施例では、圧力センサ4を個別の突起21位置毎に設け、この内のいずれか1つが出力すると残りの5ケの圧力センサの出力を禁止するようにしている。また、圧力センサを1つの点字ブロック内に1つだけ設けてもよいことは勿論である。

図3は本発明の実施例の制御ブロック構成図であり、図において、500は処理装置、600は突起処理部、700は入力処理部、701は照合部である。
処理装置500は図示しないテーブル等に点字の表示パターンが登録されており、図示しないモード選択キーの入力によって点字入出力モードに移行する。

処理装置500は操作案内用の点字情報をテーブルから抽出し、その点字を表示すべきタッチパネル1上の点字ブロック3の番号(No.)およびそのブロック内の突起位置指示信号(X,Y/・・・/X,Y)を出力する。上記点字ブロック3の番号(No.)は突起処理部600と入力処理部700にそれぞれ入力され、ブロック内の突起位置指示信号(X,Y/・・・/X,Y)は突起処理部600に入力される。

突起処理部600は入力された上記2つの情報信号によって、図2に説明したように表示回路を選択制御して、タッチパネル1上の指定のブロック位置内に突起21を生成する。そして、突起状態を含む点字ブロック31−1,31−3が顧客によって押下されるとその点字ブロック位置の圧力センサ4からの信号が入力処理部700に入力される。入力処理部700内にはタッチパネル1上の点字ブロック3と対に照合部701が設けられており、上記した点字ブロック3の番号(No.)がそれぞれの照合部701のー方の入力となっている。個々の圧力センサ4からの信号はそれぞれ対となっている照合部701の他方の入力となり、この両者の入力の照合によって圧力センサ4の誤動作による入力を回避するようになっている。

従って、図2における突起状態で点字ブロック31−1,31−3が押下されると入力処理部700では照合部701−1,701−3の照合が有効となって出力を生じ、処理装置500に点字入力データ信号が入力される。処理装置500は入力処理部700からの信号(点字データ入力)を受信したならば、図示しない音声装置によって入力データの確認を出力する。

図4は本発明の請求項2に記載した第1の実施例になる突起機構説明図である。この第1の実施例では突起制御にポンプ設備を用い、同図(A)は突起状態を示し、同図(B)は非突起状態を示している。図2,3で説明したように、点字ブロック3及びそのブロック内突起位置(X,Y)が処理装置500から指示されると、この指示信号が突起処理部600によってポンプ設備に入力されてポンプが駆動し、突起指定位置(X,Y)の開閉弁22が選択的に駆動されることになる。即ち、貯溜部25の下端に設けた開閉弁22が左側に移動して流入口を開放しかつ流出口を閉塞することで、管26内の液体23が貯溜部25に注入する。貯溜部25の頭頂部は弾性材20で密封されており、注入圧によって突起する。また、この突起状態を解除するには排出側にポンプ24を動作させ、開閉弁22を右側に移動して流出口を開放しかつ流入口を閉塞することで、内部の液体23を排出する。

上記実施例に用いる流体は、液体/気体のいずれを用いても良く、さらにポンプは突起別に設けても或いは点字ブロック毎に設けてもよい。
図5は本発明の請求項3に記載した第2の実施例になる突起機構説明図である。この第2の実施例では、突起制御に磁石と電磁石を対にしたものを用いる。同図(A)は磁化による突起状態を示し、同図(B)は非磁化による非突起状態を示している。図2,3で説明したように、点字ブロック3及びそのブロック内突起位置(Xk ,Yi )が処理装置500から指示されると、当該位置の電磁石28に電流が流れる。この結果、電磁石28は上部が”S極”となり磁石27の”S極”と反発する。頭頂部には弾性材20が貼付されており、磁石27が電磁石28との反発により突起する。電磁石28の電流をカットすれば、磁石27が元の位置に戻る。

【発明の効果】
以上の説明から明らかなように、本発明によれば、広さの限られた端末の操作面上で、多種多様な情報を可変的に点字で表示可能に成し、さらに不所望な位置の点字を押下しても入力データとしないで排除でき、弱視者であっても正確かつ容易に利用できる格別な効果を奏している。
