本発明はエレクトロフュージョン継手用コントローラに関する。詳しくは、ガス管や水道管に用いられるプラスチック管の接続に用いられるエレクトロフュージョン継手(以下、EF継手という)に供給する電力を制御するEF継手用コントローラに関する。

従来、上下水道やガス管などのプラスチック管による配管工事においては、プラスチック製のT継手、エルボ継手、ソケット継手、サドル継手等を用い、その内面及びプラスチック管外周面をヒータにより加熱溶融し、その状態で継手にプラスチック管を差し込んで接合していた。しかし最近では作業性及び接続品質を向上するためエレクトロフュージョン方式(以下、EF方式という)による接続方法が採用されている。

この、EF方式によるプラスチック管の接続方法は、図2に示すように接続すべき2本のプラスチック管1,1′を接続するのにEF継手を用いる。このEF継手2は予めコイル状に巻回された電熱線3が埋設されたプラスチック管であり、該電熱線の両端はターミナルピン4,5に接続されている。

そして、EF継手2の両端から接続すべきプラスチック管1,1′をストッパ2aに突き当たるまで挿入しておき、ターミナルピン4,5にEF継手用コントローラ6からのコード7,7′を接続し、電源コード8を電源に接続して電源を入れ、そのEF継手2に決められた電流を決められた時間通電する。これにより電熱線3は発熱し、EF継手2の内面及びプラスチック管1,1′の外周面を溶融して両者を接合するのである。

上記従来のEF継手用コントローラにおいては、EF継手の施工情報はコントローラ自身には何も入力されていなかった。このため後日継手部に故障が発生した場合の原因調査に必要な施工情報の収集管理が不十分であるという問題があった。

本発明は上記従来の問題点に鑑み、EF継手を用いたプラスチック管の接続工事において、その施工情報を確実に記録保存できるEF継手用コントローラを実現することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明のEF継手用コントローラに於いては、継手に挿入されたプラスチック製パイプを該継手内に組み込まれた電熱線により融着させて接続する工法に使用され、該電熱線に供給する電力を制御するエレクトロフュージョン継手用コントローラであって、給電出力値を設定する給電出力設定手段11と、その設定値に従って給電出力する給電出力手段12と、管接続の施工情報が入力される情報入力手段13と、該情報入力手段13に入力された情報を記憶するデータ収集用記憶装置14とを具備し、さらに該データ収集用記憶装置14の作動準備ができていないときは、継手への給電出力を許可しないようにしたインターロック手段15を具備してなるエレクトロフュージョン継手用コントローラにおいて、前記インターロック手段は、データ収集用記憶装置に記憶媒体がセットされていないとき、又は記録媒体がセットされていても、その記憶容量が不足状態の時には、前記給電出力手段からの給電出力を遮断する手段を有することを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1は本発明の実施の形態のEF継手用コントローラ10を示すブロック図である。同図において、11はEF継手へ供給する電力の給電出力値を設定する給電出力設定手段であり、12は該給電出力設定手段11に接続され、且つ該給電出力設定手段11の指示によりEF継手に給電出力を出力する給電出力手段である。また、13は施工情報が入力される情報入力手段であり、14は該情報入力手段13に接続され施工情報を記録するデータ収集用記録装置である。

本発明のEF継手用コントローラによれば、所定の施工情報が全て入力され、且つデータ収集用記憶装置の準備が完了した場合のみEF継手への給電出力が出力されようにしたことにより、データ収集用記憶装置により確実に施工情報が記録保存でき、EF継手によるプラスチック管の接続の品質管理に寄与することが可能となる。
