Description
【0001】

FIG. 11 is a diagram showing an example of a monitor report output from a conventional facsimile machine. As shown in the figure, a transmission result such as a transmission start time, an end time, and the number of transmissions is printed on the monitor report. Therefore, it is possible to confirm from the monitor report whether the transmission has been completed successfully or there is an untransmitted original.
[0004]
However, even if the monitor report confirms that the document has been sent to the other station, the other station loses or soils the received document, and valid information reaches the final addressee. May not. If it is later found that the necessary information has not reached the destination, the same document needs to be transmitted again.
[0005]
By the way, when resending a document once sent, it is easy to specify the document to be sent and search for the telephone number of the partner station if the time has not passed much after the previous transmission, but the time has elapsed. After that, it may be difficult to search for the document or telephone number, and retransmission may take too much time.
[0006]
On the other hand, as long as the document can be specified, the telephone number (dial number) of the transmission destination can be detected from the cover description information of the document, and there is a device that can call the partner station based on this. A facsimile apparatus described in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 63-81458 and Japanese Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 1-175363 is one example.
[0007]
The former device is configured to read image information of a document whose telephone number is indicated by a bar code, detect the bar code from the image information, decode the bar code, and automatically dial. Have been. The latter device is configured to read a destination and a telephone number described in a document, decode the read telephone number by a character recognition device, and dial.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The above conventional apparatus has the following problems.
[0009]
The former device has a problem in the case where image information is read from a document such as a valuable document in which a barcode cannot be described and transmitted. In this case, the following method is considered as a method for creating the first page of the manuscript on which the barcode is described. First, as one method, there is a method of reading the image information of this book, synthesizing the read image information with a desired barcode, outputting a hard copy, and using it as the first page of the document. . As another method, a method in which a sticker on which a bar code is written is attached to a hard-copy original to create the first page of the original is also conceivable. As described above, there is a problem that it takes time and effort to create the first page of the document by any of the methods.
[0010]
On the other hand, in the latter device, a character recognition device is indispensable for reading handwritten destination information, and there is a problem in terms of the cost of the device. Further, as a problem common to the former and the latter, since dialing is performed based on the destination information described in a part of the manuscript, the bar code or the handwritten destination information is written on the manuscript even if it is a part. There is a problem that remains.
[0011]
Further, from the monitor report, it is possible to recognize whether all the documents have been transmitted or there are untransmitted pages, but it is not possible to determine which pages of the document have not been transmitted. Therefore, if even one page has not been transmitted, all the pages of the document have to be retransmitted unless the partner station notifies the non-transmitted page by telephone or the like. Further, when retransmitting, there is another problem that it takes time and effort to search for the previously transmitted document.
[0012]
By the way, the monitor report is usually discarded without being used after the transmission result can be confirmed, and one piece of recording paper is consumed for such information that does not require long-term storage. I have. If a monitor report as information that is not reused and a monitor report as a paper resource that is not reused can be effectively reused, there is a great economic advantage.
[0013]
