Description

【0001】

[Industrial applications]
The present invention relates to a presser foot of a sewing machine, and relates to a sewing machine in which two cloths are overlapped in a state where two fabric edges abut against each other, and the two cloths are joined together while covering the overlapped portion by decorative stitching by flat stitching. Used.
[0002]
[Prior art]
This type of sewing machine is disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 59-34457. In this sewing machine, as a preparation before sewing, the two cloth edges are raised in an upwardly convex shape, the other part is spread out flat to the left and right, and the presser foot of the sewing machine is inserted into the passage between the presser feet which is branched right and left. The raised part is set, and the other part is elastically pressed by the presser shoe attached to the presser foot. Then, while cutting the upper part of the rising part to a certain height with a cutter provided on the presser foot, flatten one fabric edge and lower the other fabric edge so that it overlaps the upper side, and decorate the overlapped part I try to sew. As a result, the two cloths are spliced.
[0003]
However, in such a conventional presser foot of the sewing machine, since the front of the presser shoe is fixed to the presser foot, if there is a difference in the thickness of the left and right fabrics or a step, the right and left presser shoes are respectively adjusted to an appropriate force. Therefore, there is a problem that the fabric cannot be pressed, or the fabric is pressed with only one of the pressing shoes, that is, a so-called one-sided presser, and as a result, the fabric is liable to be jammed or sewn. In addition, since the front portion of the presser shoe is fixed and restrained, the presser shoe does not follow the cross-sectional shape of the presser foot in the fabric feeding direction, and presses the fabric with an even force over the entire fabric pressing portion on the bottom surface of the presser shoe. As a result, there is a problem that the cloth is pressed by a part of the presser shoe and the feed is damaged when the cloth is thin.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a presser foot that can sew smoothly without splicing fabrics or stitches in the seam sewing machine as described above. To provide.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The invention according to the present invention provides a passage between two presser feet that are branched in the left and right directions and arranged in parallel, and a receiving knife is fixed to one of the presser feet, and the other presser foot is directed toward the receiving knife. Install a movable knife that trims the rising edge of the cloth edge passed through the above passage to a certain height in cooperation with the receiving knife, and with a leaf spring-like presser shoe individually attached to each presser foot, In a presser foot of a sewing machine which elastically presses a fabric, the presser shoe is slidably supported vertically by a stepped screw at a front portion of each presser foot, and a presser shoe of the stepped screw is provided. of the slide portion, interposed a weak compression spring resilient than the plate spring-like pressing shoe, that it has to be separated individually elastically the bottom and pressing the shoe of each presser foot in the compression spring Characteristic To.
[0006]
[Action]
According to the present invention, prior to sewing, the two fabric edges are raised in the passage between the presser feet, and the fabric is guided under the leaf spring-like presser shoe. Then, when the sewing machine is operated, the rising edge of the cloth edge is passed through the receiving knife and the movable knife while being trimmed to a certain height. At this time, the presser shoe, which is slidable up and down at the front part of the left and right presser feet and the bottom of the presser foot is attached in an elastic floating state, so-called floating presser shoe, according to the left and right fabric thicknesses. The left and right fabrics are appropriately pressed, and the pressing is performed substantially uniformly on the left and right fabrics over the entire bottom surface of the holding shoe.
[0007]
When the step portion of the fabric reaches below the presser foot, the presser shoe, which has been separated from the presser foot, is pushed upward against the compression spring, and presses the fabric in a state of rising forward. Pressing the fabric has the same effect as described above.
[0008]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view showing an embodiment of the present invention. The presser foot 1 includes two presser feet 2 and 3 which are branched in the left and right directions and arranged in parallel so that a passage 5 extending toward the needle hole 4 is formed. An auxiliary presser foot 8 that is pressed down by a spring 7 is mounted in the shank 6. The auxiliary presser foot 8 presses, from above, a portion of the cloth edge that has passed below the needle hole 4 through the passage 5. A guide groove 9 is formed on the upper surface of one presser foot 2 to discharge backward a piece of cloth cut by a scalpel. The guide groove 9 is formed obliquely from the rear of the passage 5 so that the chips of the cloth do not go above the needle hole 4.
[0009]
A groove 10 and a hole 11 are formed in each of the presser feet 2 and 3 in the horizontal direction from the outer wall surface toward the passage 5. A receiving knife 12 is fixed to the groove 10 of one presser foot. The cutting edge of the receiving knife 12 appropriately protrudes into the passage 5. A movable knife 13 that reciprocates by a known drive mechanism (not shown) is arranged in the hole 11 of the other presser foot. By the cooperation of the two knives 12, 13, the rising portion of the cloth edge passing through the passage 5 is trimmed at a constant height.
[0010]
Pressing shoes 14 and 15 having both ends of a leaf spring bent are disposed at the bottoms of the presser feet 2 and 3, respectively. As shown in FIG. 2, the holding shoes 14 and 15 are slidably supported vertically by stepped screws 16 and 17 disposed in front of the holding feet 2 and 3, and compression springs are provided on the sliding portions 18 and 19 thereof. 20, 21 are interposed. The compression springs 20 and 21 have a lower elasticity than the holding shoes 14 and 15 so as to separate the bottom of the holding foot from the holding shoes 14 and 15.
[0011]
The operation of the presser foot of the sewing machine described above will be described. First, the presser foot 1 is separated from the known needle plate 22 provided on the sewing machine. Next, the two cloths W1 and W2, which are raised from the left and right butted up, are fed between the presser foot and the needle plate. After the rising portions e1 and e2 of the fabrics W1 and W2 are arranged in the passage 5, the presser foot is lowered and the fabric is set. The set fabrics W1 and W2 are elastically pressed against the needle plate 21 by the presser shoes 14 and 15 of the presser foot.
[0012]
When the sewing machine is driven in this state, the rising portions e1 and e2 are fed into the passage 5 by a known feed dog (not shown) provided on the sewing machine, and the movable knife 13 and the receiving knife 12 form the upper end of the rising portion. Is trimmed to a certain height. During the subsequent cloth feeding, the rising portion e1 is tilted toward the rising portion e2, and the rising portion e2 is overlaid on the flatly extending rising portion e1. Then, decorative sewing with a sewing machine is performed on the overlapped portion, and the two fabrics W1 and W2 are joined. During the operation of the sewing machine, when the stepped portion of the fabric reaches below the presser foot, the presser shoes 14, 15 are pushed upward against the compression springs 20, 21 and rise forward, thereby forming a floating presser shoe. Therefore, the left and right fabrics are pressed on the entire bottom surface of each press shoe. Also, even if the thicknesses of the right and left fabrics are different, the left and right fabrics can be pressed by appropriate pressing of the right and left without pressing one side.
[0013]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the left and right presser feet press the fabric separately on the left and right because the leaf spring-shaped presser shoes slidably supported at the front part thereof in a vertically slidable manner. Even when the sewing machine is driven, the straightness of the fabric is improved, and the feeding performance is stabilized. In addition, it is possible to prevent stitches due to a thick fabric, displacement of the fabric, and damage to the feeding.
[0014]
Also, when the step of the fabric reaches below the presser foot, the presser shoe is pushed upward against the compression spring and rises forward, pressing the fabric over the entire bottom surface of the presser shoe. The occurrence of feed scratches can be reduced even with thin objects.
