本発明は、製品を搬送するベルトコンベア装置に関し、詳細には被装着機に対する位置決めが容易で且つ、作業性及び収容性に優れると共に製品整列性に優れたベルトコンベア装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
例えば、自動車部品であるワイヤハーネスは、複数本の電線を配索することによって製造されている。各電線は、ボビンに巻かれた長尺状の電線が自動切断圧着機へと送られて所定長さに切断された後、その切断された端部にゴム栓が挿入される。そして、次行程で切断部に端子金具が取り付けられ、その複数本の電線が束ねられて前記端子金具にコネクタが取り付けられる。

ワイヤハーネスの製造には、上記したように長尺状の電線を所定長さに切断する必要があるため、図11に示す電線自動切断圧着機(AC機)101に設けられた電線送給部102によってボビンに巻かれた電線103を真っ直ぐに送る必要がある。その際、単に電線103を送っただけでは、電線103が丸まってしまうので、前記電線自動切断圧着機101の近傍部にベルトコンベア装置104を配置し、このベルトコンベア装置104で送り出されてくる電線103を強制的に真っ直ぐにするようにしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、電線自動切断圧着機101に対するベルトコンベア装置104の配置位置が、図11で示すY方向での左右ずれ及びZ方向での角度ずれが少しでもあると、電線103がベルトコンベア装置104から飛び出してしまい、切断後の次工程であるゴム栓挿入が出来なくなってしまう。

また、電線自動切断圧着機101を保守点検するためにベルトコンベア装置104を電線自動切断圧着機101から取り外した場合、保守点検後に再びベルトコンベア装置101を元の位置に戻す必要がある。

しかしながら、ベルトコンベア装置104を元の位置に戻すには、その位置決め作業が面倒であり作業工数がかかるばかりでなく、試し運転をするために電線103を無駄に使用してしまい歩留まりが悪くなる。

この問題を解決するために、図12に示すように、ベルトコンベア装置104の製品受取り部105の一部に作業者が入り込むことのできる程度の切り欠き部106を設け、保守点検時にはベルトコンベア装置104を移動させずに、作業者がこの切り欠き部106に入り込んで電線自動切断圧着機101の保守点検を行うようにしたものが提案されている。

請求項1記載の発明は、コンベア本体と、前記コンベア本体に掛けられた輪状のベルトと、前記ベルトを回転させるベルト駆動機構部と、製品を受け取る製品受取り部とを備えたベルトコンベア装置において、前記コンベア本体には、被装着機に対して接離自在な移動手段と、前記被装着機に対するコンベア装着位置の位置出しを行う位置決め固定手段と、前記ベルトの下方に物品収容部とが設けられており、前記被装着機に近接する前記製品受取り部の一部が、折り畳み自在であり、且つ、前記製品受取り部には、前記製品を整列させる製品揃え部が設けられていることを特徴とする。

また、コンベア本体を構成するフレームを利用して物品収容部を形成しているので、余分なコストをかけずに物品収容部を設けることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明を適用した具体的な実施形態について図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。本実施形態では、被装着機として、ワイヤハーネスの製造に使用する電線を所定長さに切断し、その切断した端部にゴム栓を挿入する工程を順次自動的に行う電線自動切断圧着機を例にとって説明する。

<ベルトコンベア装置の構成>
本実施形態のベルトコンベア装置1は、図1ないし図3に示すように、コンベア本体と、このコンベア本体に掛けられた輪状のベルト2と、前記ベルト2を回転させるベルト駆動機構部と、製品を受け取る製品受取り部3とを備えている。

『コンベア本体』
コンベア本体は、図1ないし図4に示すように、複数本の角材を組み合わせて形成されたフレーム構造とされている。すなわち、コンベア本体は、所定間隔を置いて平行に配置された一対の主フレーム4、4と、この主フレーム4、4間を連結する連結フレーム5、5と、主フレーム4、4に対して垂直に起立する支柱フレーム6、6と、支柱フレーム6、6の高さ方向中途部に相対向する支柱フレーム6、6間を連結する補強フレーム7、7とを主たる構成している。

また、上記コンベア本体には、電線自動切断圧着機8に対するコンベア装着位置の位置出しを行う位置決め固定手段が設けられている。上記位置決め固定手段は、図6に示すように、上記した主フレーム4、4の先端に設けられており、ワンタッチで前記電線自動切断圧着機8に対する装着位置を位置出しすることができるようになっている。具体的には、主フレーム4、4の先端にこれら主フレーム4、4間の幅よりも外側に突出する位置決めフレーム11と、この位置決めフレーム11の両端近傍部にそれぞれ設けられた突当て部12、12と、突当て部12、12間に設けられた位置決め固定レバー13と、電線自動切断圧着機8に設けられた位置出し部14とからなっている。

上記位置決めフレーム11は、電線自動切断圧着機8に対するベルトコンベア装置1の装着位置を精度良く出すために、前記電線自動切断圧着機8に対する接点をなるべく広く確保しており、上記主フレーム4、4間の幅から外側に突き出た形とされている。上記突当て部12、12は、電線自動切断圧着機8の突当て面8aに面接触状態で当接する突当てパッド12aと、この突当てパッド12aを保持するパッド保持部12bとからなる。突当てパッド12aは、例えば円盤形状をなす硬質ゴムなどから形成され、前記位置決めフレーム11の両端に固定された略L字状をなすアングルからなるパッド保持部12bに固定されている。そして、この突当てパッド12aは、前記電線自動切断圧着機8の突当て面8aに面接触するようになっている。

上記位置決め固定レバー13は、ネジボルト15を備えており、そのネジボルト15を前記位置決めフレーム11にねじ込むことで取り付けられている。一方、上記位置出し部14は、上記ネジボルト15を案内するボルト案内溝16を有したアングルとして形成されており、前記電線自動切断圧着機8に固定されている。ボルト案内溝16は、開口端が広く奥端に行くに従ってその溝幅が次第に狭くなり、奥端側が前記ネジボルト15の外径寸法とほぼ同寸法の溝幅とされている。

上記構成からなる位置決め固定手段では、上記ボルト案内溝16の奥端に前記ネジボルト15が到達し、前記突当てパッド12aが電線自動切断圧着機8の突当て面8aにそれぞれ当接したときに、前記電線自動切断圧着機8に対する前記ベルトコンベア装置1の装着位置が決まる。つまり、上記状態のときに、初めて電線自動切断圧着機8に対する前記ベルトコンベア装置1の装着位置が決まる。この装着位置を固定するには、前記位置決め固定レバー13を回すことで、ベルトコンベア装置1を電線自動切断圧着機8に対して位置決め固定することができる。

また、上記構成のコンベア本体には、図2及び図3に示すように、例えば電線自動切断圧着機8で所定長さに切断した電線の端末部に固定する端子金具をストックしておく物品収容部17が設けられている。物品収容部17は、一対の主フレーム4、4と後述するベルト2間のスペースに形成されており、これら主フレーム4、4の両フレーム上に、例えば端子金具を巻き付けたボビン(端子リール)18を収容配置するようになっている。この物品収容部17は、上記したように主フレーム4、4とベルト2間の間隔が支柱フレーム6、6によって十分に確保されており、比較的大きなものでも十分に収容できるようになされている。本実施形態では、支柱フレーム6、6間毎にそれぞれ物品収容部17を形成してある。

このように、コンベア本体に物品収容部17を形成することで、電線端末部に取り付ける端子金具をストックしておくことができ、ボビン取り換え作業をスムーズなものとすることができる。また、電線自動切断圧着機8の周りにボビン18を置いておく必要がなくコンベア本体に収容できるため、省スペース化を実現できる。

『ベルト及びベルト駆動機構部』
上記ベルト2は、輪状のエンドレスベルトからなり、図2に示すように、コンベア本体の長手方向両端部にそれぞれ設けられたプーリー19、20に掛けられている。そして、上記ベルト2は、一方のプーリー20とベルト駆動モータ21との間に掛けられた駆動ベルト22によって前記プーリー20が回転駆動せしめられることにより、前記ベルト2が回転するようになされている。上記ベルト2の回転は、コンベア本体に装着された制御ボック23に収容された制御部によって制御されている。

『製品受取り部』
上記製品受取り部3は、図1及び図3に示すように、上記ベルト2に沿って設けられた長尺部3aと、電線自動切断圧着機8の接続側に設けられた端末受取部3bとからなる。長尺部3aは、図1及び図4に示すように、一側縁に起立して形成されたガイド壁25を有した断面略L字状をなす長尺板として、上記ベルト2の直ぐ脇に設けられている。端末受取部3bは、図4及び図5に示すように、一側縁に起立して形成されたガイド壁31を有した幅広な板状体として形成されており、電線自動切断圧着機8の保守点検時にはベルトコンベア装置1を移動させることなく作業者が電線切断機26やゴム栓挿入機27へスムーズにアクセスできるように、折り畳み自在とされている。

すなわち、端末受取部3bは、図4、図7及び図8に示すように、長尺部3aの端部との間に設けられたヒンジ部(蝶番)28によって前記長尺部3aと水平な製品受取状態(図4の状態)と、傾倒した保守点検可能状態(図5の状態)とに折り畳み自在となっている。端末受取部3bの水平状態は、図4に示すように、端末受取部3bの裏面とコンベア本体との間に設けられた支持アーム29、30に支えられて保持される。端末受取部3bの折り畳み状態は、図示しないロック部を外すことで一方の支持アーム30に対して他方の支持アーム29をスライドさせる。このように構成することで、電線自動切断圧着機8の保守点検時には、上記端末受取部3bを折り畳んで電線切断機26やゴム栓挿入機27を保守点検することができる。

また、上記端末受取部3bは、上記長尺部3aに対してその取り付け角度θ(図7中θで示す角度)が45度未満とされている。このようにすることで、電線切断機26によって所定長さに切断されベルト2により直線的に延ばされた後、次工程のゴム栓挿入機27で端末部にゴム栓が取り付けられてなる電線が、上記製品受取り部3に送られてきたときに、その電線端末部がきれいに整列する。

つまり、前記端末受取部3bの前記長尺部3aに対する取り付け角度θが45度未満であると、図9に示すように、前記端末受取部3bと長尺部3aとの屈曲部(製品揃え部)32に電線33が接触するようになり、当該屈曲部32で接触抵抗が大きくなって電線33がコンベア方向へ引っ張れることがなくなる。その結果、電線33の端末部が揃うことになる。これに対して、図10に示すように、前記角度θを45度以上とすると、前記屈曲部32には電線33が接触しなくなり、電線33の端末が不揃いになる。

『動作説明』
次に、上記のように構成されたベルトコンベア装置1を位置決め固定した電線自動切断圧着機8を用いて、電線を所定長さに切断した後、その切断端末部にゴム栓を挿入する動作について簡単に説明する。

先ず、ボビンに巻回された電線を、電線自動切断圧着機8に設けられた電線供給装置によって上記電線切断機26(図4参照)へ供給する。すると、ベルトコンベア装置1のベルト2が回転して前記電線33がコンベア後方へと送られる。これにより、電線33が弛むことなくほぼ直線的に送られることになる。また、ベルト2の上方にはベルトカバー24が設けられているので、前記ベルト2が搬送途中で暴れて外に飛び出すことが防止される。

そして、所定長さに電線33が送られると、上記電線切断機26によって電線33が切断される。次に、その切断された電線33は、図4に示すように、電線切断機26の隣に設けられたゴム栓挿入機27に送られ、ここで切断端末部にゴム栓が挿入される。ゴム栓が挿入されると、電線33は、製品受取り部3に送られる。

【発明の効果】
以上の説明からも明らかなように、請求項1記載の発明によれば、被装着機に対して接離自在としたコンベア本体と前記被装着機とを位置決め固定手段によって位置決め固定したので、保守点検によりベルトコンベア装置を被装着機から取り外した場合でも、元の正規位置にベルトコンベア装置を短時間且つ簡単に前記被装着機に対して位置決め固定することができ、ベルトコンベア装置の装着作業時間を大幅に低減することができる。
また、本発明によれば、製品受取り部に製品を整列させる製品揃え部を設けているので、この製品受取り部に製品を整列させることができる。
また、本発明によれば、製品受取り部の一部を折り畳み自在としているため、被装着機を保守点検する場合には前記製品受取り部の一部を折り畳んで作業者が被装着機の近くまで行くことが可能となり、保守点検後は前記製品受取り部の一部を元の状態に戻すことで製品の落下を防ぐことができる。
また、本発明によれば、ベルトの下方に物品収容部を設けているので、作業に必要な物品などを収容して置くことができ、また省スペース化を実現できる。
また、本発明によれば、コンベア本体を構成するフレームを利用して物品収容部を形成しているので、余分なコストをかけずに物品収容部を設けることができる。
