ところで、近年、自動販売機の道路へのはみだしが社会的な問題となっていることから自動販売機の薄型化が求められており、これに答えるためサーペンタイン構造の商品通路を備えた自動販売機においては、例えば商品収納装置内の商品通路同士を密接させることにより商品収納装置を薄くすることが考えられる。

ところが、従来の自動販売機の商品収納装置においては、既述した図6に示すようにストッパ軸6を商品通路Rの外方に設けているため、このストッパ軸6が邪魔となって商品通路R同士を密着させることができず、商品収納装置を薄型にできないという問題点があった。

また、可動走行部材を側板に取り付ける際には、まずコイルバネを巻装しながら支持軸をカール部に挿通した後、この支持軸を側板に固定し、次にコイルバネの一端を可動走行部材に背面に当てると共に他端をストッパ軸に係止させなければならず組立に手間がかかるという問題点があった。

本発明は、対向する2枚の側板の間に上下方向に配された複数の円弧状の固定走行部材と、これらの固定走行部材に対向して配されると共に、前後方向に回動可能に軸支された複数の可動走行部材とにより商品通路が形成されたサイペンタイン構造の商品通路を備えた自動販売機の商品収納装置において、前記可動走行部材の上端の両側に前記側板に挿通される軸部を形成する一方、商品通路の外方から前記軸部に一端を係止した状態で巻装され、他端を前記側板に係止させたコイルバネにより該可動走行部材が前記固定走行部材に向かう方向に付勢されているものである。

この構成により、対向する2枚の側板の間に上下方向に配された複数の円弧状の固定走行部材に対抗して配される複数の可動走行部材を、その上端の両側に形成された軸部を側板に挿通することにより、側板に回動自在に取り付けることができる。そして、この軸部に一端を係止した状態で巻装され、他端を側板に係止させたコイルバネにより、これらの可動走行部材を固定走行部材に向かう方向に付勢することができる。
