【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが、このようなものでは、後端側の高さが異なるカバー部材を用いて意匠の変更を図ろうとした場合に、カバー部材の固定爪等の高さに対応する開口部を形成した脚要素の起立部をその都度用意する必要があるため、極めて不経済であるという問題がある。このような問題を解消し、一つの起立部で多様な高さ寸法のカバー部材に対応しようとすると、各カバー部材の固定爪の高さ位置に対応する複数の開口部を上下に予め形成しておかなければならず、開口部の高さよりも後端側の上縁が低いカバー部材を使用した場合には、その開口部が露出して、却って外観を損なうこととなる。また、このような構成のものでは、カバー部材を装着する方法は、後端側の固定爪を開口部の開口上縁に係り合わせながら後端を中心にして前端側を上方から下方へ回転させるという方法に限られてしまい、カバー部材の形状に応じた装着方法が選択できないという不具合もある。

本発明は、以上のような諸問題に鑑みて、多様な高さ寸法のカバー部材に対して脚要素の共通化を図るとこができ、カバー部材の装着方法を多様化することもできる脚付家具を構成することとした。

【発明の実施の形態】
すなわち、本発明の脚付家具は、床上に配置され前後に細長な形状をなすベース部に起立部を起立させた脚要素と、ベース部の側壁を抱くようにして装着される樹脂製のカバー部材とを具備してなるものにおいて、前記起立部のベース部が延び出す側を向く起立壁の所定高さ位置に開口部を形成するとともに、カバー部材にその後端側の上縁よりも下方に位置づけて開口部と係り合う弾性爪を設けていることを基本構成とする。

また、本発明においては、前記基本構成に加えて、前記弾性爪の上端をカバー部材の後端の上縁よりも下方に位置付けるように構成しても上記と同様の作用効果が得られるものである。

以下、本発明の一実施例を、図面を参照して説明する。
この実施例は、図1及び図2に示すように、床F上に配置され前後に細長な形状のベース部2と、このベース部2の後端2b側に略垂直に起立させた起立部3とを具備してなる脚要素1によって天板5を支持し、そのベース部2のうち起立部3から前端2a側へ延び出した部位に上方からカバー部材4を装着するようにした脚付家具たる机である。

ベース部2は、図2〜図5に示すように、底壁21と、側壁22と、上壁23とを一体成形してなる板金製のもので、上壁23の巾方向略中央部を長手方向に沿って開口させている。そして、このベース部2の左右の側壁22の下端部に、前後方向に位置を異ならせて切り欠いた一対の凹部24を形成している。また、底壁21における前端2a及び後端2bの各近傍に、アジャスタ装着用のナット部25を形成し、これらのナット部25に下面側からアジャスタ26を装着するようにしている。
