【発明が解決しようとする課題】
前記のような手段で紙原料(ウエブ)を紙製品にまで乾燥させるには、例えば前記の加圧・圧搾を複数回にわたって繰り返す必要があり、そのために長い時間を費やすことになり、かつコンベアの搬送距離も長くなって装置の大型化を招く原因となる。
本発明は前記課題を解決しようとするもので、その目的は、コンベアに送り込まれてきた紙原料を短時間で乾燥させて紙製品に仕上げることを可能とし、それによってコンベアの搬送距離を比較的短く設定できるようにすることである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は前記目的を達成するためのもので、請求項1に記載の発明は、湿潤状態の紙原料がコンベアに送り込まれて搬送される間に乾燥される抄紙装置であって、前記コンベアが網状をした耐熱金属製であるとともに、前記コンベアの搬送面上に、このコンベアで搬送される紙原料を加圧するための耐熱金属製の加圧ローラが設けられ、前記コンベアにおける前記搬送面の上部に熱源カバーが配置されており、この熱源カバーの内部に、前記コンベアによって搬送される前記紙原料、このコンベアの前記搬送面および前記加圧ローラを加熱可能な加熱源が配置されている。

前記第2コンベア14は、紙原料12を乾燥させて紙製品に仕上げるための構成となっている。この第2コンベア14は、ステンレスなどの耐熱金属による網状になっており、前記の第1コンベア10から、ある程度は脱水されているものの未だ湿潤状態にある紙原料12が連続して送り込まれる。そして第2コンベア14の搬送距離は4m程度に設定されており、その搬送面14aの上部には4個の熱源カバー16が搬送方向に沿って配置されている。これらの熱源カバー16は、第2コンベア14におけるフレーム(図示外)などによって定位置に支持されている。

前記の第1コンベア10および第2コンベア14が共に同速度(例えば毎分3.5m)で移動しており、第1コンベア10から第2コンベア14に湿潤状態の紙原料12が連続して送り込まれる。この第2コンベア14によって搬送される紙原料12は、前記の各熱源カバー16の箇所において、それぞれ2個のヒータ18によって加熱され、また前記の加圧ローラ20によって適度に圧縮される。しかも第2コンベア14はステンレスなどで構成されていることから、この第2コンベア14そのものも前記のヒータ18により加熱されて熱を帯びている。したがって紙原料12は、ヒータ18によって加熱されるのと同時に熱を帯びた第2コンベア14によっても加熱されるので、短時間で乾燥して所定の紙製品に仕上げられる。
