【0006】
【0007】
ここで、ΓはPDOP(Position Dilution of Precision)と呼ばれる指標であり、“数3”で示すように定義される。
【0008】

Here, an algorithm for selecting a positioning base station that minimizes PDOP will be described with reference to FIG. First, N positioning base stations are listed (S-1). Next, three stations are selected from the N positioning base stations listed, and are designated as A, B, and C (S-2).
[0029]
Then, PDOP is calculated (S-3). This value is defined as PDOP1. Next, another three stations are selected from the N positioning base stations listed above, and are designated as D, B, and M (S-4). Then, PDOP is calculated (S-5). This value is defined as PDOP2.

PDOP1 and PDOP2 are compared (S-6). If PDOP1 is smaller than PDOP2, the previously selected positioning base stations Ding, Bo, and Self are respectively A, B, and C (S-7). If PDOP1 is larger than PDOP2 when PDOP1 and PDOP2 are compared, the replacement of the positioning base station by "(S-7)" is not performed.

Example 8
An embodiment according to the present invention will be described. A positioning base station is installed in a positioning target area as shown in FIG. The mobile station receives radio waves emitted from a plurality of positioning base stations (for example, A, B, C, D, and E in FIG. 4) and measures the electric field strength. Then, an approximate position is estimated based on the position data of each positioning base station and the received electric field strength.
[0046]
Next, it is determined at which combination of positioning base stations for the estimated position the PDOP is minimized, and the positioning base station (B, D, E in the case of FIG. 4) selected therefrom determines the PDOP of the mobile station. Calculate the position accurately.
[0047]
[Example 9]
An embodiment according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. The mobile station receives the GPS radio wave, estimates its own position, and transmits a radio wave carrying the data of the estimated position (in FIG. 4, the position estimated by the GPS is indicated by a double circle indicated by numeral 6). Is shown).
[0048]
Each positioning base station having received the radio wave from the mobile station transfers the time at which the radio wave was received and the estimation result by GPS to the analysis center via the network. The analysis center determines which combination of the positioning base stations minimizes the PDOP based on the GPS estimation result, and determines the mobile station based on the selected positioning base station (B, D, E in FIG. 5). Calculate the position accurately.
[0049]
[Example 10]
An embodiment according to the present invention will be described. The mobile station receives the GPS radio wave and estimates its own position. Further, the mobile station that has received the radio waves from the plurality of positioning base stations determines which combination of the positioning base stations minimizes the PDOP based on the GPS estimation result, and selects the positioning base station selected there (see FIG. In the case of 5, the position of the mobile station is accurately calculated by B, D, E).
[0050]
[Example 11]
Referring to FIG. 5, another embodiment according to the present invention will be described. A positioning base station is installed in a positioning target area as shown in FIG. Radio waves emitted by the mobile station are received by a plurality of positioning base stations (for example, A, B, C, D, and E in FIG. 6).
[0051]
Each positioning base station having received the radio wave from the mobile station transfers the time and electric field strength data at which the radio wave was received to the analysis center via the network. The analysis center selects a positioning base station appropriately (for example, if the field strength is selected in the descending order, becomes A, B, C in FIG. 6) and estimates the position of the mobile station.
[0052]
Based on this result, it is calculated which combination of positioning base stations minimizes the PDOP, and the position of the mobile station is accurately determined by the selected positioning base station (B, D, E in FIG. 6). To calculate. If the best combination happens to match the first selected result, use the first result.
[0053]
[Embodiment 12] Another embodiment based on the present invention will be described. A positioning base station is installed in an area to be positioned as shown in FIG. The mobile station receives the radio waves emitted from the plurality of positioning base stations, selects the positioning base station appropriately (for example, in the order of increasing electric field strength, A, B, and C in FIG. 6), and selects the positioning base station. Estimate the position.
[0054]
Based on this result, it is determined which combination of positioning base stations minimizes the PDOP, and the position of the mobile station is accurately calculated by the selected positioning base stations (B, D, and E in FIG. 6). I do. If the best combination happens to match the first selected result, use the first result.
[0055]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the present invention, the position of the target mobile station is estimated using the result measured by an appropriate method in advance, and this is compared with the PDOP obtained from the combination of the positioning base station. Based on the result, the configuration is such that the combination of the positioning base stations that minimizes the PDOP is sequentially selected. Thus, there is an advantage that the position of the mobile station in the area can always be obtained with high accuracy.
