本発明は、計器の指針構造に関し、詳しくは、車両用のコンビネーションメータ等の計器における指針の構造に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
この種の第1の指針構造として、細長い導光体からなる指針を用い、この導光体の基端部から光源の光を導入して指針の全体を照明すると共に、導光体の先端から外方に出射してポイント発光を行う構造のものがある(特開平10ー318801号公報参照)。

また、第2の指針構造として、図6に示すように導光指針部材2を指針キャップ3で覆い、上面のスリット4からのみ光が出てその他の部分からの光漏れをなくし、指針の輝度向上及び照明均一化を図った指針構造も開示されている(特開平9ー145415号公報参照)。

が、この構造のものは、細過ぎて先端部分の光量が不足し、指針照明が不均一になるという問題がある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、第1の指針構造においては、指針の大部分が露出しており(指針の基端部のみがキャップで覆われている(同公報、図2参照))、このため光漏れする光量が多くなって、先端部分から出射する光量が不足し、これに起因してポイント発光の視認性の低下を招く、と言う課題を有している。

これに対して第2の指針構造においては、光漏れをなくすことはできるが、指針キャップ3の先端部分3aも塞がれているため、光は、この先端部分3aからは出ることができない。このため、指針1の照明は、スリット4から出る光のみであり、指針1の先端から光を出してポイント発光を行うことはできないという問題がある。

本発明は、上述の点に着目してなされたもので、指針キャップの先端に孔を設けてポイント発光の視認性を向上させた計器の指針構造を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前記目的を達成するため、請求項1記載の発明は、文字板の前面で回動する指針に、光を導入して発光させるようにした計器の指針構造であって、前記指針は、導光指針部材と、該導光指針部材を覆う指針キャップとからなり、該指針キャップには、前面にスリット、先端部に前記導光指針部材の先端から出る光が通る孔が形成されていることを特徴とするものである。

このため、請求項1記載の発明では、スリットからの光による通常の指針照明のほか、孔から出る光でポイント発光が可能となる。

また、請求項2記載の発明は、請求項1記載の計器の指針構造であって、前記導光指針部材の先端面には着色部が形成されていることを特徴とするものである。

このため、請求項2記載の発明では、ポイント発光が任意の色で着色され、デザイン性が高い表示が得られる。

以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。なお、図6と同一部材または同一機能のものは同一符号で示している。

図1において、指針1は、導光指針部材2と、この導光指針部材2を覆う指針キャップ3とで構成されている。

導光指針部材2は、図1及び図2(b)に示すように、先細の円柱状の本体部2aと、この本体部2aの後端部に一体に形成された基部2cとからなる導光体で形成されている。

指針キャップ3は、図1及び図2(a)に示すように、遮光性部材からなり、上面にスリット4、下面に開口部5、先端に孔6が各々形成され、導光指針部材2をスリット4及び開口部5を除く部分で覆っている。

光源(図示せず)からの光7は、図1に示すように、導光指針部材2の基部2cに導入され、テーパ面2bで反射され、本体部2aを通過し、孔6から出射され、この出射光9でポイント発光を行う。

導光指針部材2の本体部2aの先端に所望の色の着色部10を形成することにより、出射光9を光源の色とは異なった任意の色とすることができる。この着色部10は、図2(a)に示すようにカラー印刷で形成してもよいし、あるいは、図3に示すように、光透過性の着色フィルム11を、導光指針部材2の先端面あるいはこの先端面に対向する指針キャップ3に貼着するか、あるいは指針キャップ3の孔6の裏面と本体部2aの先端面との間で挟むようにしてもよい。

図4および図5に、上記指針1を使用した計器A(コンビネーションメータ)の一部、すなわち、速度計13、燃料計14を示している。速度計13は、文字板12に目盛部15を有し、この目盛部15の周囲に円弧状の反射リング16が配置され、指針1の先端部が反射リング16のテーパ面16aに対向して移動するようになっている。燃料計14も同様に、目盛部17と反射リング18とを有し、指針1の先端部が反射リング18のテーパ面18aに対向して移動するようになっている。

以上、詳述したように、本発明によれば、導光指針部材の全体を指針キャップで覆っているので、不用意な光洩れをなくして指針キャップの先端部に形成した孔から出射する光量を増大させることができ、これにより通常の指針照明のほか、視認性の向上したポイント発光を行うことができる。

また、請求項2記載の発明によれば、導光指針部材の先端面に着色部を形成したので、請求項1記載の発明の効果に加えて、ポイント発光部が任意の色で着色されて発光し、デザイン性の高い表示が得られる。

On the other hand, in the second pointer structure, light leakage can be eliminated, but light cannot escape from the distal end portion 3a because the distal end portion 3a of the pointer cap 3 is also closed. For this reason, there is a problem that the illumination of the pointer 1 is only light emitted from the slit 4, and it is not possible to emit light from the tip of the pointer 1 and perform point emission.

The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide a pointer structure of an instrument in which a hole is provided at a tip of a pointer cap to improve visibility of point light emission.
