Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a cleaning material for a fixing roll in an electrophotographic apparatus .
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a cleaning material for removing toner or the like attached to a fixing roll in an electrophotographic apparatus, a cleaning material provided with a cleaning layer made of felt or the like around a shaft is known. The shaft of this cleaning material is generally made of aluminum, stainless steel, or those covered with foamed silicone sponge, and only the felt, which is the cleaning layer, needs to be replaced. Therefore, the waste was landfilled as industrial waste at the end of its useful life. However, from the viewpoint of environmental protection and resource saving, it was desired to reuse the shaft.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a cleaning material that can replace only a cleaning layer and that contributes to environmental protection and resource saving.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the fixing roll cleaning material of the present invention (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as a cleaning material) , a female member having a loop-shaped fiber and a male member having a projection which can be hooked on the loop-shaped fiber are hooked. A layer on the surface of the shaft , wherein the loop-shaped fibers and hook-shaped projections can withstand heat of 180 ° C., and the hooked layer does not peel off when used and is easy to replace. Since the fixing member is a cleaning material for a fixing roll that can be peeled off, the female member or the male member can be easily peeled off from the male member or the female member. Other members can be reused, which can contribute to environmental protection and resource saving.
[0005]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
The female member of the present invention has loop-shaped fibers so that the male member can be hooked. The term "loop-shaped fiber" refers to a fiber having both ends fixed, and can be confirmed visually or by an electron micrograph in a cross section of the female member. The number of the loop-shaped fibers varies depending on the type of the female member, but in the case of a suitable female member having the loop-shaped fiber on a woven fabric, 50 to 500 pieces per 1 cm 2 so as to easily hook the projection of the male member. Is preferable, and it is more preferable that the number is 100 to 300.
[0006]
Further, the height of the loop-shaped fiber in the female member is preferably 0.5 to 7 mm, more preferably 2 to 5 mm, so as to impart elasticity to the cleaning material and prevent permanent deformation. In addition, the height of this loop-shaped fiber means the average value of the height from the fiber fixing part of 100 loop-shaped fibers arbitrarily selected from a micrograph of a cross section of the female member.
[0007]
As the looped fibers, for use a cleaning material under high temperature conditions such as the constant wearing roll, fibers capable of withstanding the 180 ° C. heat of about, for example, para-or meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide fibers, polyamide-imide Fiber, aromatic polyetheramide fiber, polybenzimidazole fiber, polyphenylene sulfide fiber, polyimide fiber, polyetheretherketone fiber, carbon fiber, fluorine fiber, liquid crystal polyester fiber, polyester fiber, nylon fiber, acrylic fiber, vinylon fiber, etc. Can be a cellulose fiber or the like. Among these, a wholly aromatic polyamide fiber whose physical properties are hardly changed even under a long-time heat exposure condition, and a thermoplastic fiber which is easily burnable can be preferably used.
[0008]
The female member of the present invention may be formed by the same method as a conventionally known method for manufacturing a hook-and-loop fastener female material, may have a loop-like fiber on a woven fabric, or may use a fiber web with a crown barb needle or a fork needle. One having a loop-shaped fiber on a nonwoven fabric formed by a needle punch method, one having a looped fiber on a nonwoven fabric formed by stitching a fiber web, or one having a shrinkable substrate It is also possible to use a material having loop-shaped fibers on a shrinkable base material formed by shrinking the base material after aligning the fibers. Among these, a female member having a loop-shaped fiber on a woven fabric can be suitably used because the loop-shaped fiber is less likely to fall off.
[0009]
Since the male member of the present invention has the protrusion which can be hooked on the above-mentioned loop-shaped fiber, it can be easily hooked and peeled off with the female member. Therefore, the member including the female member or the member including the male member that has been peeled off can be used again.
[0010]
As the protrusions of the male member, there are, for example, hook-shaped ones and mushroom-shaped ones. Among them, the hook-shaped ones which do not peel off when using the cleaning material but can be easily peeled off when replacing. It is preferred that That is, hook-shaped projections in which the peel strength between the female member and the male member is 0.3 to 10 N / cm are preferable. The peel strength refers to a value obtained by a method specified in JIS L 3416-1994 6.4.2.
[0011]
The number of protrusions on the male member is not particularly limited, but is preferably 20 to 200, preferably 50 to 100 per cm 2 so as to be easily hooked to the loop-shaped fiber of the female member. Is more preferred.
[0012]
As the resin component for forming the projection, because it uses a cleaning member at a high temperature of a fixing roll, a resin capable of withstanding the 180 ° C. heat of about, that is, the same as the resin component constituting the looped fibers A resin can be used. Among them, a wholly aromatic polyamide which is excellent in heat resistance and a thermoplastic material which can be easily incinerated are preferably used. The male member of the present invention can be manufactured by a method similar to a conventionally known method of manufacturing a surface fastener male material.
[0013]
The cleaning material of the present invention has a layer in which the female member and the male member are hooked as described above, and has excellent elasticity, so that the contact area with the fixing roll can be increased, The cleaning material can be excellent, and the layer of the elastic body, which has been conventionally required, can be omitted, so that a more compact cleaning material can be obtained.
[0014]
A male member having a hook-shaped projection is attached to the surface of the shaft, and a female member having a loop-shaped fiber on which the projection of the male member can be hooked is hooked on the male member. When the member and the male member have a hooked layer, a needle-punched nonwoven fabric corresponding to a cleaning layer is attached to the opposite side of the surface of the female member having the loop-shaped fibers. Further, a female member having a loop-shaped fiber is attached to the surface of the shaft, and a male member having a hook-shaped projection capable of being hooked on the loop-shaped fiber of the female member is hooked on the female member. In the case where the female member and the male member have a hooked layer, a needle-punched nonwoven fabric corresponding to a cleaning layer is attached to the surface of the male member opposite to the surface having the protrusions. By laminating a nonwoven fabric on these surfaces, Ru improve cleanability. If a nonwoven fabric is laminated on a surface that does not correspond to the cleaning surface, more elasticity can be imparted. The nonwoven fabric corresponding to the cleaning layer, the surface density of 150~600g / m 2, a preferred thickness 0.5~3.5mm about needle-punched nonwoven fabric, a nonwoven fabric of a portion not corresponding to the cleaning layer The same thing as the needle-punched nonwoven fabric can be suitably used. It should be noted that an elastic body such as a foamed silicone sponge may be laminated on a portion which does not correspond to the cleaning layer as in the related art.
[0015]
The cleaning material of the present invention is in the form of a roll, and has a layer in which a female member and a male member are hooked over the entire surface of a shaft or the like. In addition, any of the female member and the male member may be arranged more outside.
[0016]
In the case where the cleaning material is in the form of a roll, a felt or the like is conventionally wound around the shaft. However, in order to make the cleaning material more compact, even if an attempt is made to wind the shaft around a small-diameter shaft, the felt is porous. If a thick felt is used to increase the work efficiency, it is difficult to manufacture a roll-shaped cleaning material because the felt has high rigidity and is harder to adhere to the shaft. According to the invention, since the female member and the male member can be easily hooked, even a thick felt can be easily wound, and there is also a feature that the workability is excellent.
[0017]
When the cleaning material of the present invention is used for cleaning the fixing roll, silicone oil may be applied to any member of the cleaning material, and the cleaning may be performed simultaneously with the application of the silicone oil to the fixing roll. .
[0018]
Hereinafter, a method of manufacturing a cleaning material will be briefly described by taking a preferred method of manufacturing a roll-shaped cleaning material as an example.
[0019]
First, a shaft, a female member (if necessary, a nonwoven fabric is provided on the surface opposite to the surface having the loop-shaped fibers) and a male member (if necessary, a nonwoven fabric is provided on the surface opposite to the surface having the protrusions) are prepared. Then, a female member or a male member is bonded to the shaft with a heat-resistant adhesive such as a room temperature-curable silicone adhesive when heat resistance is required, and with a normal adhesive when heat resistance is not required. I do. The female member or the male member may be spirally wound or may be wound flat. Next, when the female member is wound, the male member is hooked, and when the male member is wound, the female member is hooked, so that the cleaning material of the present invention can be manufactured.
[0020]
Examples of the present invention will be described below, but the present invention is not limited to these examples.
[0021]
【Example】
(Example) After a double-sided tape was flat-wound and attached to the outer layer of an aluminum shaft having an outer diameter of 20 mm and a length of 330 mm, a male member having a hook-like projection (Kanebo Bell Touch) was attached to the outside of the double-sided tape. Company, Magic Cloth, type 1K2L, number of protrusions 60 / cm 2 , resin component 6-nylon) was spirally applied.
[0022]
On the other hand, a needle-punched nonwoven fabric (cleaning member) made of meta-aromatic polyamide fiber and having a surface density of 450 g / m 2 and a thickness of 1.5 mm, and a female member having a loop-shaped fiber on a woven fabric (Kanebo Bell Touch Napping Tape) 2A3, the number of loop fibers of 180 / cm 2 , the height of the loop fibers of 3 mm, and the fiber composition 6-nylon) were bonded together with a double-sided tape.
[0023]
Next, the female member was spirally hung on the male member to form a cleaning roll.
[0024]
When manufacturing this cleaning roll, the female member could be easily hooked, easily peeled off, and hooked again easily. The peel strength between the male member and the female member was 0.8 N / cm. The cleaning property was also excellent.
[0025]
【The invention's effect】
The cleaning material according to the present invention is a cleaning member comprising: a female member having a loop-shaped fiber; and a male member having a projection capable of being hooked on the loop-shaped fiber, having a hooked layer on a surface of the shaft. Alternatively, the male member can be easily peeled off from the male member or the female member, and only the portion stained with toner or the like can be discarded, so that the member other than the soiled portion can be used again, and environmental protection and resource saving can be achieved. It can contribute to the development.
[0026]
In addition, since the cleaning member has a layer in which the female member and the male member are hooked and has excellent elasticity, the contact area with the object to be cleaned can be increased, and the cleaning member has a more excellent cleaning property. In addition to the above, it is possible to eliminate the need for a layer of an elastic body which has been conventionally required, so that a more compact cleaning material can be obtained.
[0027]
Furthermore, since the cleaning member is in a roll shape and the female member and the male member can be easily hooked, even a thick felt can be easily wound, and the workability is excellent.
