前記目的を達成するための本発明は、コークス炉への装炭中に装入口から噴出するガスを捕集するため昇降可能に設けた集塵フードに点火バーナを備え、前記集塵フードに連通する集塵ダクトに湿式除塵器およびガス昇圧ファンを備えたコークス炉装炭車の車上集塵装置において、前記湿式除塵器の入側における集塵ダクトに遮断弁を配設すると共に、この遮断弁の上流側における集塵ダクトから分岐された放散ダクトに放散弁を配設する一方、前記湿式除塵器に大気を導入する希釈ダクトに希釈弁を配設し、集塵ガスの異常時に前記遮断弁を閉に作動させると共に、放散弁および希釈弁を開に作動して集塵ガスの爆発を未然に防止するように構成したことを特徴とするコークス炉装炭車の車上集塵装置である。

本発明では、装炭車に搭載した車上集塵装置が正常な場合には、遮断弁−全開、放散弁−全閉、希釈弁−全閉として前述従来装置と同様のガス流れによって集塵が達成できる。
一方、車上集塵装置が異常停止した場合、その異常停止信号を受け、これによって放散弁を閉から開に作動し爆発性ガスを放散ダクトから大気中に逃し、遮断弁を開から閉に作動して温式集塵器への爆発性ガスを遮断すると共に、希釈弁を閉から開にして、それまで湿式除塵器以降に滞留していた爆発性ガスを希釈ダクトから導入される空気によって希釈することによって湿式除塵器以降での爆発を防止するものである。
