Description
【0001】
φ2 =(f3 /f2 )*φ1
d3 =d2 ≧φ2 *0.9=(φ1 *f3 /f2 )*0.9
とする。
【0073】
d2 =d3 及びφ2 =(f3 /f2 )*φ1
φ1 =f1 *tanω*2
Φ0 =f1 *2・NA
となる。
【0081】
【0139】
f2 =35mm,f3 =35mmで等倍となっている。よって、撮像素子上のイメージエリアφ2 もφ7mmである。
【0140】

[Industrial applications]
The present invention relates to an improvement in a stereoscopic rigid endoscope capable of stereoscopically observing the inside of a subject (object).
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, with the development of surgical techniques, endoscopic surgery, in which a small hole is made in the abdomen using a rigid endoscope to observe the inside of the abdominal cavity, or perform surgery, in place of conventional open surgery, has been introduced. It is becoming popular.
[0003]
Until now, observations have been made with a device that combines a rigid endoscope and a TV camera, but since there is no depth information, the operation has taken a long time. However, recently, as shown in FIG. 27, a stereoscopic rigid endoscope having depth information has been developed.

In the stereoscopic

There is another problem described below. That is, this is a new problem in a rigid endoscope having different observation directions.

[0010]
(5) In addition, the two optical systems arranged in parallel are configured such that after the distance between the respective optical axes is increased by the prism on the hand side, images are formed on the left and right image sensors. For this reason, any of the stereoscopic rigid endoscopes has a disadvantage that the diameter of the hand portion is increased and the size is increased.
[0011]
On the other hand, in the conventional example shown in FIG. 29 (Japanese Utility Model No. 9217980), an objective lens system for imaging an object on an insertion portion, a relay optical system for relaying an image of the objective lens, and a relay optical system for the relay lens are provided. Optical systems for imaging the image at infinity are incorporated, which have the same optical axis. On the rear side, a stop having two openings, two image forming lenses arranged in parallel to form a light beam restricted by the stop, and a prism optical system for widening the interval between the left and right optical axes. , Two image sensors are arranged.
[0012]
The conventional example shown in FIG. 29 has a configuration in which the optical system is different from that of the rigid endoscope.
[0013]
The
[0014]
However, no measures have been taken to keep the gravitational direction of the image constant when observing the perspective direction, and no measures have been taken to keep the gravitational direction accompanying the rotation of the scope in a direct-view scope. There is no mention of the configuration for realizing.
[0015]
Further, as shown in FIG. 29, also in the above configuration, a pair of prism
[0016]
Further, the endoscope shown in FIG. 29 has the above-described advantage because the pupil of one relay lens system is divided to obtain two images, while the endoscope shown in FIG. Compared to what is shown, it has the disadvantages that parallax is large and difficult to take, and there is little stereoscopic effect. In this regard, improvement is desired.
[0017]
When a stereoscopic endoscope is actually used, for example, in an operation, when the observation site is different, there is a need to perform observation by observing with a direct-view scope or changing to a squint scope. However, the conventional example does not solve this problem. Further, as another need, there is a need to change to a scope having a different parallax level or to change the scope according to an operation site or an observation distance at the time of performing the operation. The above-mentioned prior art has not solved this need.
[0018]
The problems are listed as follows.
[0019]
(1) A prism is not arranged in the optical system on the hand side to facilitate the adjustment and to reduce the size of the hand side.
[0020]
(2) The viewing direction is a perspective direction, and the parallax can be sufficiently increased.
[0021]
(3) A plurality of scopes, such as those having different viewing directions, that is, switching between direct viewing and oblique viewing, or having different parallax (solid angle), can be replaced by the same system.
[0022]
(4) Correction of the direction of gravity of the image accompanying rotation of the direct-view scope or the oblique scope is enabled.
[0023]
(5) To provide a stereoscopic direct-view and oblique scope capable of correcting the direction of gravity of an image due to rotation and having sufficiently large parallax.
[0024]
It can be proposed to provide a stereoscopic rigid endoscope which has the above (1) to (5) and can withstand practical use.
[0025]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
It is desired to solve the drawbacks of the conventional configurations shown in FIGS. 27, 28 and 29 and to meet the needs during the operation, which are not mentioned in the preceding examples, and to solve them.
[0026]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a stereoscopically rigid endoscope that does not include a prism in an optical system at the hand side, facilitates adjustment, and can be downsized at the hand side.
[0027]
An object of the present invention is to provide a rigid stereoscopic endoscope in which the viewing direction is a perspective direction and parallax can be sufficiently increased.

[0061]
In the case of the current television system such as the NTSC standard, the distance between two images is 0.9 * φ2 or more since the horizontal length of the imaging surface of the imaging device is 0.8, which is the diagonal length. If so, it is possible to take an image excluding a portion where crosstalk occurs. Further, no crosstalk occurs if the distance is more than φ2. That is,
d3 ≧ 0.9 * φ2
It is.
[0062]
These states are shown in FIG. In order to effectively use the pixels of the image sensor, a portion (square in the figure) used for display of the left and right images (circle in the figure) substantially coincides with the effective imaging surface of the image sensor, that is, the square is inscribed in a circle The projection magnification of the optical system may be set as described above. Part of the round image naturally extends beyond the square, but does not overlap with other squares.
[0063]
Note that a large image sensor may be used so that two images are received by one device. In the case of this configuration, processing is performed so that the square portions indicated by the broken lines in FIG. 5B are displayed on the monitor as left and right images, respectively.
[0064]
3 and 4 show a case where the image formed by the primary imaging

[0066]
In this example, the primary imaging
φ2 = (f3 / f2) * φ1
Is required.
[0067]
On the other hand, the optical axis distance d3 of the left and right images on the image sensor is determined by the left and right optical axis distance d2 of the secondary imaging
[0068]
On the other hand, the parallax of the stereoscopic vision is determined by the distance between the centers of the two openings indicated by d1. Here, the maximum value of d1 cannot exceed the maximum value of NA (numerical aperture) transmitted by the relay
[0069]
The maximum value of the exit pupil diameter formed by the primary imaging

An opening included inside this is set.
[0071]
FIG. 4 shows a configuration in which the optical axis of the secondary imaging optical system is made coincident with the center of the aperture, but if the light beam can pass through, the optical axis of the secondary imaging optical system and the aperture The centers of the parts do not have to match.
[0072]
When the primary imaging optical system is at infinity as in the first reference example, in order to eliminate image crosstalk,
d3 = d2 ≧ φ2 * 0.9 = (φ1 * f3 / f2) * 0.9
And
[0073]
On the other hand, when the primary imaging optical system is not an image at infinity, as shown in FIG.
d2 = d3 and φ2 = (f3 / f2) * φ1
Is not established, but the left and right positional deviations are corrected by decentering the optical axis of the secondary imaging
[0074]
In FIG. 6A, the focal length f2 of the primary imaging optical system is increased, and this focal length f2 is larger than the distance from the image position transmitted by the relay optical system to the primary imaging
[0075]
If the focal length f3 of the secondary imaging optical system is changed in accordance with the change of the focal length f2 of the primary imaging optical system, the size of the image formed on the image sensor becomes as shown in FIG. And can be aligned.
[0076]
Further, the configuration shown in FIG. In this configuration, the image transmitted by the relay optical system is located inside the front focal point of the primary imaging optical system 27 (closer to the primary imaging optical system), and is emitted from the primary imaging optical system. The light is diverging slightly. An

[0078]
In the first reference example, in order to enable a plurality of scopes such as scopes having different direct / perspective / side-view / angles of view, or scopes having the same angle of view but different parallaxes to be interchangeably used in the same system, The
[0079]
In the pupil division method, it is generally difficult to secure parallax for determining stereoscopic vision. In the case of two relay optical systems, the amount of parallax is determined by the distance between the two optical axes itself, so that the parallax (d) is usually about D / 2 = 0.5D with respect to the inner diameter D in the insertion portion (see FIG. 7 (a)).
[0080]
On the other hand, in the pupil division method as shown in FIG. 7B, the focal length f1 determined by the angle of view (2ω) of the objective optical system and the image area φ1 of the optical system, the thickness of the optical system of the relay system, and one time The entrance pupil diameter (Φ0) is determined by the relay system NA determined by the relay length. That is,
φ1 = f1 * tanω * 2
Φ0 = f1 * 2 · NA
It becomes.
[0081]
In a normal rigid endoscope, the image area (φ1) is between D and 0.5D, and assuming a rigid endoscope with an angle of view of 70 ° by the conventional design technology, the NA of the relay is 0.07. Φ0 = about 0.1D-0.05D.
[0082]
Of the entrance pupil, two images are taken out of the apertures at different positions among the exit pupils formed by the objective optical system, the relay optical system, and the primary imaging optical system. Since the parallax is limited by the size of Φ0, the parallax becomes smaller when the pupil is divided as described above. Since the amount of parallax necessary for performing an operation varies depending on the operation site and the observation distance, a relatively large amount of parallax is desired on the other hand, and this is realized by the following configuration.
[0083]
First, in a direct-vision stereoscopic endoscope, in order to obtain a good image while securing a parallax amount of about 0.18, which is about 0.18 with respect to the conventional NA = 0.07, the following is required. It has a configuration. That is, as shown in FIG. 3, this is realized by a configuration including a concave lens and a plano-convex lens at the tip, a meniscus lens having a concave surface facing the object surface, and a convex lens group including a cemented surface.
[0084]
In the conventional example (FIG. 27) in which a meniscus lens having a concave surface facing the object surface is disposed after a convex lens group including a cemented surface, spherical aberration and bending of a coma are generated by the concave surface of the meniscus lens with an increase in NA. Cannot be removed. On the other hand, in the present configuration, the meniscus lens is arranged between the stop position and the convex lens group including the cemented lens to bend spherical aberration / coma while correcting the curvature of field to some extent. realizable.
[0085]
On the other hand, as means for increasing the amount of parallax, it is necessary to increase the NA and to allow the pupil to pass through the entire circumference without vignetting in order to enable rotational correction in perspective. As shown in FIG. 13, FIG. 14, FIG. 17, and FIG. 18, the configuration of a prism is considered as a perspective deflecting optical system suitable for enabling a stereoscopic rigid endoscope having a relatively large parallax. is there. The detailed configuration and effects are shown in the examples described below.

The configuration of the optical system of the second reference example is the same as that shown in FIG. The data of this optical system is as shown in Table 1-1 and Table 1-2. It becomes. When the angle of view is determined by the observation range, the larger the image height, the larger the combined focal length f1 between the objective optical system and the relay optical system can be.
[0107]
On the other hand, assuming that the entrance pupil diameter of the objective optical system and the relay optical system is Φ0, the entrance pupil diameter Φ0 is Φ0 = 2 · f1 · NA from the NA and f1 of the relay optical system. Is large and the angle of view is fixed, the entrance pupil can be enlarged by increasing the image height h and increasing f1.

In the
[0109]
The data of the second reference example is based on an endoscope having an outer diameter φ of 12 mm, a lens diameter of φ9.5 mm, an NA of the relay optical system of 0.185 (FNO = 2.7, and a normal endoscope). In order to obtain a good image with a bright optical system, the objective
[0110]
Here, the bar-shaped lens of the plano-convex lens is arranged on the premise that it can be replaced with a perspective prism, and has a flat front surface and a sufficiently long optical path length.
[0111]
On the other hand, a meniscus lens having a concave surface facing the object is a lens for correcting field curvature in an optical system having a large NA such as this optical system. If it is arranged near a conventional image plane, the curvature of spherical aberration becomes too large at each image plane on a strong meniscus surface for correcting the field curvature. Therefore, in order to balance the curvature of spherical aberration and the correction of field curvature, a lens is arranged between the stop position and the convex group including the doublet with the concave surface facing the object surface. This is achieved by arranging two doublets and gently compensating for the elimination of the bending of chromatic aberration and coma of spherical aberration. In a configuration such as this lens system aiming to increase the parallax, the luminous flux becomes thicker than when the NA of the conventional objective optical system and relay optical system is about 0.1 (FNO = 5). For this reason, in the optical system in which the oblique prism described below is arranged, some contrivance is required. An example is shown in FIG.
[0112]

FIG. 13 shows a configuration of observing a direction around a perspective of 30 ° in the example of the distal end portion of the input unit according to the second reference example.
[0117]
As shown in FIG. 13, the configuration of a prism having a perspective angle of about 30 ° applicable to the second reference example includes a first prism 55a and a
[0118]
The angles in the optical system shown in FIG. 13 are incident angles .theta.1 = 30 DEG, .theta.2 = 90 DEG, .theta.3 = 45 DEG, and .theta.4 = 30 DEG. The incident angle of the light passing through the optical axis of the first prism 55a with respect to the optical axis of the relay optical system or the like is 30 °, and the light enters the incidence surface of the first prism 55a perpendicularly and exits perpendicularly. The side surface shape of the first prism 55a is a right triangle. The light emitted from the first prism 55a is perpendicularly incident on the incident surface of the

Since the light beam is reflected three times while passing through these prisms, the image is on the back side as it is. Therefore, in the example of FIG. 13, the reflection surface of the first prism 55a, which is the first reflection surface, is a roof surface.
[0121]
As described above, if an optical system including these prisms is used, it is possible to pass a light beam evenly with respect to the optical axis, and it is possible to realize an incident angle of 30 ° for a perspective stereoscopic rigid endoscope having a large parallax.

[0134]
In the second reference example, the distance between the light beams taken in by the secondary imaging optical system is changed by changing the interval between the light beams to be taken in by the secondary imaging optical system even if the same direct view is made. The parallax can be changed, and the stereoscopic effect can be changed.
[0135]
The plurality of
[0136]
In the second reference example, the size of the hand portion is reduced. In the conventional example, the optical path is divided by the prism, but the configuration is complicated. In order to solve this problem, the prism is unnecessary by optimizing the primary imaging optical system f2, the image area φ1 of the relay optical system, the secondary imaging optical system f3, and the NA of the relay optical system. The output unit on hand is realized.
[0137]
This has been achieved as shown in the input and output sections above.
[0138]
As shown in FIGS. 3 to 5 and FIG. 9, the diameter of the relay optical system is φ9.5, and the image area φ7 mm of φ1 is implemented in this example.
[0139]
F2 = 35 mm and f3 = 35 mm are the same size. Therefore, the image area φ2 on the image sensor is also φ7 mm.
[0140]
On the other hand, the NA of the relay optical system is
1 / (2 * FNO) ≒ 0.18
It becomes. In this example, a relay image is formed in an afocal manner.
[0141]
The exit pupil made by the primary imaging optical system is
2 * NA * f2 = 2 * 0.18 * 35 = about 13 mm.
In this example, the on-axis marginal optical axis is parallel, a secondary imaging optical system is arranged parallel to this, and the center of the CCD, which is an image sensor, is coaxially arranged. Assuming that the image area is φ7 mm, the distance d3 between the centers of the two optical axes must be 7 mm apart in order to avoid crosstalk.
[0142]
On the other hand, since the pupil diameter is 13 mm at the maximum, in this example, if the optical axis of the secondary imaging optical system is set to, for example, 10 mm, the distance between the image areas becomes 10 mm because the focal length is an afocal system. Image can be captured by the image sensor. At this time, the distance between the openings is about 10 mm, and if the light beam is passed through the secondary imaging optical system, the light can be seen in a three-dimensional effect according to the distance between the openings. If the size of the image sensor is small and f3 is shortened in order to reduce the required image area φ2, the interval between the image areas becomes wider and mounting becomes easier. By shortening both the magnifications of f2 and f3 while keeping them constant, it is possible to further reduce the length and diameter of the hand.

It is possible to correct the visual field direction of the image.
[0189]
In the present embodiment, the same effect can be obtained even if the aperture and the liquid crystal shutter are integrated to take out one optical path.
[0190]
The summary of the configuration example described above is summarized as follows.
[0191]
The stereoscopic endoscope shown in FIG. 8 has a configuration in which an
[0192]
In the stereoscopic endoscope shown in FIG. 22 (first embodiment of the present invention) and FIG. 23 (second embodiment of the present invention), a relay optical system is arranged in an input section including an objective optical system. In addition, the primary imaging optical system is also integrated with the output unit including the secondary imaging optical system and the image sensor, and can be connected before and after the imaging position of the relay optical system. Has become. The connection unit allows the input unit and the output unit to be freely rotatable or detachable.
[0193]
In the stereoscopic endoscope shown in FIG. 24, an objective optical system is arranged in an input unit, and a relay optical system, first and second imaging optical systems, and an image sensor are integrally arranged in an output unit. The tip of the output section can be inserted into the insertion section of the input section. The input unit and the output unit are configured as a detachable or detachable and rotatable mount, and are connected to each other.
[0194]
In any of the configurations shown in FIGS. 8, 22, 23, and 24, when the input unit and the output unit are connected, the connecting unit, that is, the distal end side at the position where the detachable or rotatable cutting is performed. Is a circular or ring-shaped light beam, and is divided so that an image can be formed by the secondary imaging optical system without vignetting even on the rotation axis.
[0195]
On the other hand, on the hand side of the connecting portion, a diaphragm means for limiting the opening is arranged. The aperture of each optical system of the second imaging optical system also has a function as a diaphragm means here.
[0196]
By dividing as described above, there is no vignetting due to rotation, and even if mounting or eccentricity arises somewhat due to attachment / detachment, the left and right images are simultaneously displaced, so that there is no left / right difference. Therefore, according to the above configuration, the present invention can attach / detach an input unit having a direct / oblique view, a different parallax, or a different angle of view.
[0197]
In addition, in order to change the parallax having a large or small parallax, one of the following configurations is required in addition to providing the width of the opening that can be captured by the second imaging optical system in advance.
[0198]
As one example, a parallax is changed by disposing a stop having a ring-shaped opening having the same optical system and having a ring-shaped opening ahead of a connecting portion (cutting position) and changing the diameter of the ring-shaped opening. be able to.
[0199]
Alternatively, another example is to vary the width of the aperture of the stop located closer to the hand than the connecting portion.
[0200]
In any case, it can be realized by changing the width of the partial aperture that is finally captured and imaged by the secondary imaging optical system. This is because the objective optical system, the relay optical system, and the primary imaging optical system have the same optical axis, and the two portions at different positions of the exit pupil imaged by the primary imaging optical system. When a light beam is taken out from the opening, an image with parallax is obtained. Moreover, when the width of the two partial apertures is continuously changed, the parallax of the stereoscopic view can be continuously changed accordingly.
