TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a tire pressure warning device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, in order to improve the safety of running of a vehicle, various tire pressure alarm devices that detect a decrease in tire air pressure and provide a warning to a driver have been proposed. In other countries, a pressure sensor that directly detects air pressure is provided in the tire, and signals are transmitted and received in a non-contact state by radio waves between the pressure sensor and a signal processing device on the vehicle body, and processed by the signal processing device. A device that displays tire pressure on a display or the like has already been put to practical use.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, such a conventional apparatus has a problem that an error is likely to occur when transmitting and receiving a signal. In particular, there is a possibility that transmission and reception of a signal may become unstable at a radio wave intensity permitted by Japanese law.
[0004]
In addition, an expensive pressure sensor for detecting tire air pressure is required, and a transceiver for transmitting and receiving signals between the pressure sensor and a signal processing device on the vehicle body side is required. There was also a problem that the cost was high as a whole.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and has as its object to provide a tire pressure alarm device that can reliably detect a decrease in tire air pressure and can be implemented at low cost.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention is directed to a sensor ring which is attached to an axle so as to be able to rotate integrally with a tire and has projections formed at equal intervals over the entire circumference, and faces an outer peripheral portion of the sensor ring at a required interval. A proximity sensor that is disposed on a fixed side and electromagnetically detects the passage of the protrusion of the sensor ring, and a tire on the sensor ring side so as to form a non-uniform special waveform portion in a detection signal on the proximity sensor side. A tire pressure alarm device, comprising: a pneumatic actuation device that operates due to a decrease in air pressure of the tire; and a signal processing device that outputs an alarm signal when a special waveform portion is generated in a detection signal on the proximity sensor side. It is related.
[0007]
Therefore, according to the present invention, when the air pressure of the tire decreases, the pneumatic operating means operates on the sensor ring side, and a non-uniform special waveform portion is formed in the detection signal on the proximity sensor side. As a result, a decrease in tire air pressure is detected by the signal processing device on the vehicle body side, and an alarm signal is output.
[0008]
Further, in the present invention, for example, the pneumatic operating means is provided concentrically with the sensor ring and supports a part of the projection of the sensor ring, and the sub ring is normally rotated by the air pressure of the tire. An air cylinder that holds all the projections at equal intervals while holding the sub-ring relative to the sensor ring when the air pressure of the tire applied to the air cylinder is reduced; And a repellent member for forming a discontinuous portion of the above.
[0009]
In this case, when the air pressure of the tire decreases, the holding force of the sub-ring in the normal rotation position by the air cylinder is weakened, and the sub-ring is rotated relative to the sensor ring by the elastic body. As a result, a discontinuous portion is formed in each protrusion, and as a result, the waveform of a detection signal that has detected each protrusion on the proximity sensor side has a special waveform portion when the discontinuous portion of each protrusion is detected. It is detected on the vehicle body side that the tire pressure has been reduced due to the formation of the special waveform portion.
[0010]
Further, the pneumatic actuating means is provided at a position where a part of the projection of the sensor ring should be originally disposed so as to be able to move forward and backward toward the proximity sensor, and protrudes to a detectable position of the proximity sensor by the air pressure of the tire. And a resilient member that retreats the advance / retreat member to an undetectable position with respect to the proximity sensor when the air pressure of the tire applied to the advance / retreat member decreases.
[0011]
In this case, when the air pressure of the tire decreases, the holding force of the reciprocating member that has protruded to the detectable position of the proximity sensor is weakened, and the reciprocating member detects the proximity sensor by the elastic body. As a result of being retracted to the impossible position, the advancing / retracting member is no longer detected on the proximity sensor side, the advancing / retracting member is no longer detected in the waveform of the detection signal that has detected each projection on the proximity sensor side. A special waveform portion having a long non-detection section is formed, and it is detected on the vehicle body side that the air pressure of the tire has decreased due to the generation of the special waveform portion.
[0012]
The pneumatic actuating means is provided at a position sandwiched between adjacent protrusions of a part of the sensor ring so as to be able to advance and retreat toward the proximity sensor side, and to a position where the proximity sensor cannot be detected by the air pressure of the tire. The reciprocating member may be constituted by a retracted moving member, and a resilient body which projects the moving member toward a proximity sensor when the air pressure of the tire applied to the moving member decreases.
[0013]
In this case, when the air pressure of the tire decreases, the holding force of the advance / retreat member that has been retracted to the position where the proximity sensor cannot detect becomes weak, and the advance / retreat member of the proximity sensor is moved by the elastic body. The protruding / retracting member is protruded to the detectable position, whereby the reciprocating member is newly detected on the proximity sensor side. As a result, the reciprocating member is newly detected in a waveform of a detection signal in which each protruding portion is detected on the proximity sensor side. As a result, a special waveform portion in which the detection section continues continuously for a long time is formed, and it is detected on the vehicle body side that the tire air pressure has decreased due to the generation of the special waveform portion.
[0014]
Further, the pneumatic actuating means is provided at a position where a part of the projection of the sensor ring should be originally disposed at a distance that cannot be detected with respect to the proximity sensor side, and the circuit is operated via a switch by the air pressure of the tire. The coil may be constituted by a coil held in a closed state, and a resilient body that opens the circuit of the coil via the switch when the air pressure of the tire decreases.
[0015]
In this case, when the air pressure of the tire decreases, the holding force of closing the coil circuit via the switch is weakened, and the coil circuit is opened via the switch by the resilient body. As a result, when the coil passes through the front surface of the proximity sensor, an induced current does not flow through the coil, no magnetic field is generated, and the presence of the coil is not detected on the proximity sensor side. In the waveform of the detection signal that has detected the above, a special waveform portion having a long non-detection section formed due to the coil not being detected is formed, and it is detected on the vehicle body side that a decrease in tire air pressure due to the occurrence of this special waveform portion has been detected. Will be.
[0016]
The pneumatic actuating means is provided at a position sandwiched between adjacent protrusions of a part of the sensor ring at a distance that cannot be detected with respect to the proximity sensor side, and is connected to the circuit via a switch by air pressure of the tire. May be constituted by a coil held in an open state, and a resilient body that closes the circuit of the coil via the switch when the air pressure of the tire is reduced.
[0017]
In such a case, when the air pressure of the tire is reduced, the holding force for keeping the coil circuit open via the switch is weakened, and the coil circuit is closed via the switch by the resilient material. When the coil passes through the front surface of the proximity sensor, an induced current flows through the coil, and a magnetic field is generated. As a result, the presence of the coil is newly detected on the proximity sensor side. In the waveform of the detection signal that has detected each protruding portion, a special waveform portion in which the detection section is continuously long by the coil being newly detected is formed, and the occurrence of this special waveform portion reduces the tire air pressure. Is detected on the vehicle body side.
[0018]
The pneumatic actuating means is mounted on a part of the protrusion of the sensor ring and the coil whose circuit is kept open through the switch by the air pressure of the tire, and the air pressure of the tire is reduced by the coil circuit. It may be constituted by an elastic body which is sometimes closed via the switch.
[0019]
In such a case, when the air pressure of the tire is reduced, the holding force for keeping the coil circuit open via the switch is weakened, and the coil circuit is closed via the switch by the resilient material. As a result, when the coil passes through the front surface of the proximity sensor, an induced current flows through the coil, and a magnetic field is generated. As a result, the detection signal on the proximity sensor side is enhanced by the generation of the magnetic field. In the waveform of the detection signal detected at each of the protrusions, the detection signal when the protrusion mounted with the coil is detected is partially enhanced, thereby forming a special waveform portion having a high signal level. The vehicle body detects that the tire pressure has decreased due to the generation of the waveform portion.
[0020]
Further, in the present invention, it is preferable that the sensor ring and the proximity sensor also serve as the wheel speed detecting means of the anti-lock braking system. Implementation is possible with only minor structural changes to vehicles equipped with the system.
[0021]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0022]
FIGS. 1 to 6 show a first embodiment of a tire pressure warning device according to the present invention, which is applied to a vehicle equipped with an antilock braking system (hereinafter abbreviated as ABS). As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a sensor ring 1 and a proximity sensor 2 used as wheel speed detecting means in this type of ABS are used as a part of a tire pressure alarm device of the present embodiment. It is used as a component that fulfills.
[0023]
That is, the sensor ring 1 is attached to the axle 4 so as to be able to rotate integrally with the tire 3 and has a large number of protrusions 5 bent in an L-shape toward the inside in the vehicle width direction at equal intervals over the entire circumference. The proximity sensor 2 is disposed at an appropriate fixed position on the vehicle body side so as to face the outer peripheral portion of the sensor ring 1 with a required interval, and the proximity sensor 2 is provided with a protrusion 5 of the sensor ring 1. The passage is electromagnetically detected.
[0024]
Here, when used as a wheel speed detecting means of a normal ABS, as shown in the upper side of FIG. 3, the passage of each of the protrusions 5 at equal intervals is detected, and a waveform of an equal signal level is continuously generated. The detection signal of the proximity sensor 2 as formed is sent to the signal processing device 6, and every time the detection signal from the proximity sensor 2 exceeds a predetermined threshold A, the pulse signal a as shown in the lower side of FIG. The signal is input to the signal processing device 6.
[0025]
The signal processing device 6 has an ABS function and a tire pressure alarm function. When the ABS function is operated, the wheel speed (rotational speed of the tire 3) is detected by the pulse signal a described above. The lock state of each tire 3 at the time of sudden braking is monitored, and when the lock state occurs in any one of the tires 3, the brake pressure of the tire 3 is reduced so that the lock state can be canceled. Thus, when a decrease in the air pressure of the tire 3 is detected by operating the tire air pressure alarm function, an alarm signal is output to an alarm device such as an alarm buzzer 7 and an alarm lamp 8 in the cab.
[0026]
However, the sensor ring 1 in the present embodiment is obtained by slightly modifying the structure of the sensor ring 1 used for a normal ABS, and the detection signal on the side of the proximity sensor 2 is not uniform as shown in FIG. A pneumatic actuating means 9A is provided on the sensor ring 1 side to operate by lowering the air pressure of the tire 3 so as to form a special waveform portion s (see FIG. 6).
[0027]
More specifically, the pneumatic operating means 9A includes a sub-ring 10 provided concentrically with the sensor ring 1 and supporting a part of the projection 5 of the sensor ring 1, and a sub-ring 10 And an air cylinder 11 for maintaining all the projections 5 at equal intervals by the air pressure of the tire 3 and the sensor ring 1 when the air pressure of the tire 3 applied to the air cylinder 11 decreases. And a resilient body 12 that rotates relatively to the main body to form a discontinuous portion of each projection 5.
[0028]
That is, the air cylinder 11 is connected to the inside of the tire 3 via the connection tube 13, and is extended by the air pressure of the tire 3 so that the sub ring 10 resists the tensile force of the elastic body 12 in FIG. The sub ring 10 is rotated in the direction of the arrow to hold the sub ring 10 at a normal rotation position defined by the stopper 14.
[0029]
In this case, when the air pressure of the tire 3 decreases, the holding force of the air cylinder 11 for holding the sub-ring 10 in the normal rotation position weakens, and as shown in FIG. As a result, the sub ring 10 is rotated relative to the sensor ring 1 by the step 12, thereby forming a discontinuous portion in each of the protrusions 5. As a result, as shown in FIG. A special waveform portion s when the discontinuous portion of each of the protrusions 5 is detected is formed in the detected detection signal waveform, and the signal processing device 6 generates a protrusion in the pulse signal a due to the generation of the special waveform portion s. It is detected on the vehicle body that the air pressure of the tire 3 has decreased due to the extension of the pulse signal a on the vehicle body side, and an alarm signal is sent to an alarm device such as an alarm buzzer 7 and an alarm lamp 8 in the driver's cab. Is output.
[0030]
In the signal processing relating to the ABS performed by the signal processing device 6, the extension of the pulse signal a is compared with the interval between the preceding and succeeding pulse signals a, as is taken as a measure against chipping of the normal sensor ring 1. One jump of the projection 5 may be determined, so that an error in the detection of the wheel speed may be corrected.
[0031]
Therefore, according to the above embodiment, a discontinuous portion is formed in each projection 5 by the rotation of the sub-ring 10 operated by a decrease in the air pressure of the tire 3, and a non-uniform special waveform is generated in the detection signal of the proximity sensor 2. By forming the portion s, it is possible to reliably detect a decrease in the air pressure of the tire 3 due to the occurrence of the special waveform portion s, so that the reliability is greatly improved compared to the conventional method of transmitting and receiving signals by radio waves. In addition, the present invention can be implemented inexpensively by eliminating the need for expensive pressure sensors and signal transmitters / receivers as in the related art.
[0032]
In particular, in the present embodiment, since the sensor ring 1 and the proximity sensor 2 are also used as the wheel speed detecting means of the ABS, it is only necessary to make a slight structural change to the vehicle provided with the ABS. Is possible.
[0033]
FIGS. 7 to 9 show a second embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, a part of the projection 5 of the sensor ring 1 should be originally arranged when configuring the pneumatic operating means 9B. In this position, a reciprocating member 16 embraced by the cylinder case 15 so as to be able to reciprocate toward and away from the proximity sensor 2 is disposed in place of the part of the projections 5. An elastic body 18 for urging the piston portion 17 at the rear end of the reciprocating member 16 inserted into the case 15 in a direction away from the proximity sensor 2 is provided, and the rear end of the cylinder case 15 and the inside of the tire 3 are provided. Is connected via a connection tube 19 so that the advancing / retreating member 16 can protrude against the compressive force of the elastic body 18 to the detectable position x of the proximity sensor 2 by the air pressure of the tire 3.
[0034]
In this case, when the air pressure of the tire 3 decreases, the holding force of the reciprocating member 16 that has been extended to the detectable position x of the proximity sensor 2 is weakened, and the elastic member 18 advances and retreats. As a result, the moving member 16 is retracted to the non-detectable position y of the proximity sensor 2 so that the advancing / retracting member 16 is not detected on the proximity sensor 2 side, as shown in FIG. In the waveform of the detection signal that has detected No. 5, a special waveform portion s having a long non-detection section formed due to the detection of the advance / retreat member 16 not being formed is formed. The signal processing device 6 on the vehicle body detects that the air pressure of the tire 3 has decreased due to the extension of the pulse signal a by five.
[0035]
FIGS. 10 to 12 show a third embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, when the pneumatic operating means 9C is formed, the sensor ring 1 is sandwiched between adjacent projections 5 on a part thereof. A reciprocating member 21 held by the cylinder case 20 so as to be able to reciprocate toward and away from the proximity sensor 2 is disposed at a position where the reciprocating member 21 is inserted into the cylinder case 20. An elastic body 23 for urging the piston portion 22 at the rear end of the member 21 in a direction approaching the proximity sensor 2 is provided, and the front end of the cylinder case 20 and the inside of the tire 3 are connected via a connection tube 24. The reciprocating member 21 can be retracted against the compressive force of the resilient body 23 to the position y where the proximity sensor 2 cannot detect by the air pressure of the tire 3.
[0036]
In this case, when the air pressure of the tire 3 decreases, the holding force of the reciprocating member 21 that has been retreated to the non-detectable position y of the proximity sensor 2 is weakened, and the resilient body 23 reciprocates. As a result of the member 21 being extended to the detectable position x of the proximity sensor 2 and the reciprocating member 21 being newly detected on the proximity sensor 2 side, as shown in FIG. 5, a special waveform portion s whose detection section is continuously long is formed by newly detecting the advance / retreat member 21, and the pulse signal a is generated by the generation of the special waveform portion s. The signal processing device 6 on the vehicle body detects that the air pressure of the tire 3 has decreased due to the extension of the pulse signal a.
[0037]
FIG. 13 shows a fourth embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, when configuring the pneumatic actuating means 9D, a part of the projection 5 of the sensor ring 1 should be located at a position where it should be disposed. A coil 25 is disposed at a distance that cannot be detected with respect to the proximity sensor 2 side, and a switch 27 for opening and closing a circuit 26 of the coil 25 is operated by an air cylinder 28 that is extended by the air pressure of the tire 3. The air cylinder 28 is held closed, and a resilient body 29 for opening the switch 27 by shortening the air cylinder 28 when the air pressure of the tire 3 decreases is arranged in the air cylinder 28.
[0038]
In such a case, when the air pressure of the tire 3 decreases, the holding force of the air cylinder 28 that has closed the circuit 26 of the coil 25 via the switch 27 is weakened, and the elastic body 29 When the coil 25 passes through the front surface of the proximity sensor 2, no induced current flows through the coil 25, and no magnetic field is generated. Is not detected by the proximity sensor 2 side, as in the case of FIG. 9 described above, the coil 25 is no longer detected in the waveform of the detection signal detected by the proximity sensor 2 side to detect each of the protrusions 5. A special waveform portion s having a long detection section is formed, and the generation of the special waveform portion s causes the pulse signal a to extend for one projection portion 5. So that the air pressure in the tire 3 is lowered it is detected by the signal processing unit 6 of the vehicle body.
[0039]
FIG. 14 shows a fifth embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, a coil 30 is arranged at a distance that cannot be detected with respect to the proximity sensor 2 when constituting the pneumatic operating means 9E. Then, a switch 32 for opening and closing the circuit 31 of the coil 30 is held open by an air cylinder 33 that is extended by the air pressure of the tire 3, and the air pressure of the tire 3 is stored in the air cylinder 33. An elastic body 34 for closing the switch 32 by shortening the air cylinder 33 when it is lowered is provided.
[0040]
In this case, when the air pressure of the tire 3 is reduced, the holding force of the air cylinder 33 that has opened the circuit 31 of the coil 30 via the switch 32 is weakened, and the elastic body 23 The circuit 31 is closed via the switch 32, so that when the coil 30 passes through the front surface of the proximity sensor 2, an induced current flows through the coil 30 to generate a magnetic field, and the existence of the coil 30 is determined. As a result of the new detection on the proximity sensor 2 side, the coil 30 is newly detected in the waveform of the detection signal obtained by detecting each protrusion 5 on the proximity sensor 2 side as in the case of FIG. As a result, a special waveform portion s in which the detection section continues continuously for a long time is formed, and the generation of the special waveform portion s causes the pulse signal a to extend for one projection portion 5. 3 of air pressure so that it was reduced is detected by the signal processing unit 6 of the vehicle body.
[0041]
FIG. 15 shows a sixth embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, when forming the pneumatic operating means 9F, the valleys on both sides of a part of the projection 5 of the sensor ring 1 are cut deeply. On the other hand, a coil 35 is mounted, and a switch 37 for opening and closing a circuit 36 of the coil 35 is held in an open state by an air cylinder 38 which is operated to extend by the air pressure of the tire 3. When the air pressure of the tire 3 decreases, an elastic body 39 for closing the switch 37 by shortening the air cylinder 38 is provided.
[0042]
In this case, when the air pressure of the tire 3 decreases, the holding force of the air cylinder 38 that has opened the circuit 36 of the coil 35 via the switch 37 is weakened, and the elastic body 39 As a result, the circuit 36 of the coil 35 is closed via the switch 37, so that when the protrusion 5 to which the coil 35 is mounted passes through the front surface of the proximity sensor 2, an induced current flows through the coil 35 and the magnetic field As shown in FIG. 16, the detection signal on the proximity sensor 2 side is partially enhanced by the generation of the magnetic field, as shown in FIG. In addition, since the detection signal at the time of detecting the protrusion 5 to which the coil 35 is attached is enhanced, a special waveform portion s having a high signal level is formed. If the threshold value B is set in advance, the pulse signal b exceeds the threshold value B and is input to the signal processing device 6 due to the occurrence of the special waveform portion s. 3 is detected by the signal processing device 6 on the vehicle body side.
[0043]
As shown by a two-dot chain line in FIG. 15, a power supply 40 may be provided in the circuit 36 of the coil 35 to increase the strength of the magnetic field when an induced current flows through the coil 35. By doing so, it is possible to more reliably enhance the detection signal on the proximity sensor 2 side.
[0044]
Further, when the coil 35 is mounted on a part of the protrusion 5 of the sensor ring 1, as shown in FIG. 17, a protruding portion 41 is formed on the bent portion of the protrusion 5 so as to extend away from the proximity sensor 2. Then, the coil 35 may be wound around the overhang portion 41 and attached.
[0045]
The tire pressure alarm device of the present invention is not limited to the first to sixth embodiments described above, and the sensor ring and the proximity sensor include wheel speed detecting means of an antilock braking system. It is not always necessary to use the same function.Alternatively, instead of operating the air pressure operating means by lowering the air pressure of the tire, the air pressure operating means is operated by detecting an abnormality on the other tire side, as an alarm device for tire temperature and brake temperature. It is needless to say that the present invention can be applied and various changes can be made without departing from the gist of the present invention.
[0046]
【The invention's effect】
According to the above-described tire pressure alarm device of the present invention, a non-uniform special waveform portion is formed in the detection signal on the side of the proximity sensor by the pneumatic operation device that operates by reducing the tire pressure, and the generation of this special waveform portion Since it is possible to reliably detect a decrease in tire air pressure, reliability can be greatly improved compared to the conventional method of transmitting and receiving signals by radio waves, and furthermore, expensive pressure sensors and Various excellent effects can be achieved, such as being able to be implemented at low cost by eliminating the need for a signal transceiver.
