(57)【特許請求の範囲】(57) [Claims] 【請求項1】 表示パネルと該表示パネルの裏面に配置
する光拡散板と、該光拡散板の裏面から光照射する線状
光源と、該線状光源を収納し且つ光反射部を有する光源
収納部とからなる照明装置であって、 前記線状光源は曲管部と少なくとも複数の直管部とを有
し、 前記光源収納部は、前記線状光源を収納するための底面
に凹面が形成された凹部と、前記線状光源の前記直管部
相互間の中央部に対応する位置に設けられた稜線部およ
び該稜線部からそれぞれの前記直管部側に向けて下降す
る傾斜面と、を有し、 前記光反射部は、前記光源収納部の前記凹面を含む凹部
内面に設けられた第1の反射層と、前記稜線部近傍の前
記傾斜面上の少なくとも一部に設けられた第2の反射層
と、からなり、 前記第1の反射層は前記光拡散板の裏面全体に向けて反
射光を照射し、 前記第2の反射層は前記光拡散板の裏面の、前記線状光
源の前記直管部相互間の領域より外側の外周部に向けて
反射光を照射することを特徴とする照明装置。
