2. Description of the Related Art In the above sander, the polishing dish has a triangular shape such as a triangle or a quadrangle so that polishing can be performed even in a narrow space or a corner, and the polishing material such as sandpaper has the same shape as the polishing dish. Then, it is attached to the bottom surface of the polishing dish with a hook-and-loop fastener, etc., or it is fixed with a clasp, a clip, etc. Since the sandpaper is used intensively, abrasion of the sandpaper at that portion is accelerated, and the adhesive force of the surface fastener at the corner is also deteriorated. Therefore, for example, in the case of a triangular polishing dish, the sandpaper is once peeled off from the polishing dish and rotated, and all three corners can be used by changing the use location to another corner. Degradation of the hook-and-loop fastener on the dish side is inevitable. Therefore, there is also adopted a structure in which the polishing dish attached to the base by screwing or the like is temporarily removed, and the polishing dish is rotated together with the sandpaper so that the use position of the sandpaper can be changed.

However, changing the location of use of the above-mentioned abrasive material involves the work of peeling and re-adhering it once or attaching and detaching the polishing dish with a screw, which is troublesome. When reattaching only the abrasive material with a surface fastener or the like, it is necessary to align the positions accurately, and if misalignment occurs, it will be reattached, which is an extra task.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is an explanatory diagram of a polishing portion of the sander 1. A bevel gear 4 is integrally fixed to a motor shaft 3 of a motor (not shown) built in the housing 2. The bevel gear 4 is orthogonal to the motor shaft 3. Then, the rotation of the motor can be transmitted to the crankshaft 5 by meshing with a bevel gear 6 integrated with the vertical crankshaft 5. The crankshaft 5 is axially supported by ball bearings 7 and 8 in the housing 2, and an eccentric shaft 10 integrally fixed with a balancer 9 is provided at the lower end of the crankshaft 5 so as to project. It is supported by a ball bearing 11 provided in a cylindrical portion 13 at the center of a base 12 having a substantially equilateral triangle. Further, a plurality of feet 14 and 14 are vertically extended on the upper surface of the base 12, and a plate 14a at the upper end of the foot 14 is fixed to the housing 2 so as to prevent the base 12 from being supported below the housing 2. ,
Due to the eccentric rotation of the eccentric shaft 10 accompanying the rotation of the crankshaft 5, a circular locus motion (orbital motion) is achieved.

Below the base 12, the base 12
A polishing dish body 15 having the same equilateral triangle shape as the above is arranged. The polishing dish body 15 includes an upper mounting plate 16, a pad 17 integrally attached to the lower surface of the mounting plate, and a sandpaper 18 attached to the lower surface of the pad 17 by a surface fastener. The hole 15a is loosely inserted into the cylindrical portion 13 of the base 12 and is rotatably supported.
Further, the through hole 15a portion of the mounting plate 16 becomes an inverted L-shaped standing portion 19 to form a space between the tubular portion 13 and the through hole 15a, while the tubular portion 13 has the through hole 15a. A cap 20 having a flange portion 21 having a diameter larger than the diameter is screwed, and the polishing dish body 15 loosely inserted into the cylindrical portion 13 is provided between the upright portion 19 and the flange portion 21 in the axial direction. It is possible to move back and forth. Further, a compression spring 22 is interposed between the upright portion 19 and the collar portion 21 to urge the polishing dish body 15 together with the upright portion 19 toward the base 12 side. Also, as shown in FIG. 2, on the back surface of the base 12, cylindrical portions 23, 23, 23 are provided which have their centers set at the vertices on the lines connecting the eccentric axis center O and the vertices of the three corners. Meanwhile, the polishing dish 15
Positioning projections 24, 24, 24 are provided on the upper surface of the mounting plate 16 so as to be fitted with the cylindrical portions 23, 23, 23 when the three corners are aligned with the base 12. Therefore, when the polishing dish 15 is pulled in the direction away from the base 12 against the compression spring 22, each cylindrical portion 23 and the positioning protrusion 24 are pulled.
Are separated from each other and can be freely rotated in that state, and when the polishing dish body 15 is separated at a position where the corners coincide with the base 12,
The polishing dish 15 is moved to the base side 1 by the biasing force of the compression spring 22.
At the same time as moving to 2, the positioning protrusions 24 of the mounting plate 16 are fitted into the three cylindrical portions 23 on the back surface of the base 12,
Both will be integrated. In addition, reference numerals 25, 25, ... Are through holes for collecting dust formed in the polishing dish body 15, and communicate with the dust collecting path 26 between the base 12 and the polishing dish body 15 shown in FIG. It guides dust to the outside.

In the sander 1 constructed as described above, in the state shown in FIG. 1, the base 12 moves in a circular locus by the motor drive, and the sandpaper 18 on the bottom surface of the polishing dish body 15 which moves in unison is used for polishing work. Although it can be done, when the front corner (left side of FIGS. 1 and 2) of the sandpaper 18 is worn away by the polishing work, when the polishing dish body 15 is grasped and pulled downward, the positioning protrusion 24 is formed as shown in FIG. Since the polishing dish body 15 is rotatable away from the respective cylindrical portions 23, the three positioning protrusions 24 are rotated by 120 degrees from this position to the right or left as shown by the arrow in FIG. When the pulling force is loosened by inserting it into the portion 23, the three positioning protrusions 24 are again fitted into the tubular portion 23 and integrated with each other as shown in FIG. Part can be used for polishing work . When the second corner is worn out, the polishing dish body 15 may be similarly rotated to change the remaining corner to the place to be used. As described above, in the present embodiment, the use position of the sandpaper 18 can be changed by rotating the polishing dish body 15, so that all three corners of the sandpaper can be used and the surface of the polishing dish body 15 side can be used. Deterioration of the adhesive strength of the fastener is not concentrated in one place. Further, since this change can be performed by a simple rotating operation of the polishing dish, it does not take time or labor and can be accurately performed with good workability.

In the above description, the cylindrical portion 23 used for the locking mechanism is provided on the base 12 side and the positioning protrusion 24 is provided on the polishing dish body 15 side, but they may be provided in reverse to each other. 23 and the positioning protrusion 24 are formed at three positions respectively,
Either one of them may be provided in one corner only. Further, in addition to the cylindrical portion and the positioning protrusion, for example, the flange portion 21 of the cap 20 fixed at a fixed position and the through hole 15a of the polishing dish body 15 are formed into an equilateral triangle or the like, and fitted in both shapes. In the retracted position of the polishing dish body 15, if the fitting is released and the polishing dish body 15 is rotatable, the use place can be changed by the same operation as described above.
