Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a latch for a lock, and more particularly to a latch head having an inclined cam surface made of synthetic resin. 2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, latch heads are often made of metal. However, due to the good slipperiness of the inclined cam surface and the low hitting sound of the latch head caused when the door is opened and closed, the latch head is made of metal. Latch heads made of synthetic resin are also used. As a conventional example of a latch head in which the inclined cam surface is formed of synthetic resin, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a hard synthetic resin latch body 52 having an inclined cam surface 51, It is known that the main body 52 is housed and fixed, and includes a metal frame 54 connected to a latch bar 53. The frame 54 in such a conventional example has side walls 56, 56 erected from both side edges of a bottom plate 55.
From the rear edge of each of the side walls 56, 56, a strip-shaped long plate is bent inward to form rear walls 57, 57, and further bent outwardly with the latch rod 53 interposed therebetween to extend and connect. Pieces 58, 58. The connecting pieces 58, 58 and the latch rod 53
Each of the connecting holes 60 having the same diameter communicating with each other coaxially is formed. The both ends of the lock pin 59 inserted into the connecting holes 60 are beaten and caulked so that the frame 54 and the latch rod 53 It is connected and fixed. [0006] In the above-mentioned conventional latch head, the frame 54 and the latch rod 53 are provided.
At the time of the connection work with, the lock pin 59 is prepared separately,
The lock pin 59 is inserted through the connection holes 60 of the pair of connection pieces 58, 58 and the connection holes 60 of the latch bar 53 coaxially, and both ends of the lock pin 59 are connected to the connection pieces 58, 58.
And then crimped after evenly protruding from the connection hole 60, and the number of steps was large and workability was poor. Further, since the force or impact applied to the inclined cam surface 51 when the door is opened and closed acts in the direction around the axis of the lock pin 59, the latch head 61 is used many times.
In some cases, the connection between the lock pin 59 and the latch rod 53 is loosened and the lock pin 59 rattles around the axis. Further, since a connecting hole is formed in the latch rod 53, the strength is reduced, and the thickness of the lock pin 59 is also limited, so that the strength of the entire latch is not sufficient. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and an inclined cam made of synthetic resin which can easily connect a latch head and a latch rod and can firmly connect the latch head and the latch rod. It is an object to provide a latch head having a surface. [0010] A latch head according to the present invention comprises a latch body made of synthetic resin having an inclined cam surface, a metal surrounding the latch body, and fixed to the latch bar. The latch head consisting of a frame made of;
The frame body is provided with side walls rising from both side edges of the bottom plate, and recesses into which shaft pins integrally bent from the rear edge of the side walls and formed integrally with the tip of the latch rod are fitted. And a rear wall provided with a through hole that stands up from a rear edge of the bottom plate and through which the shaft pin is inserted. In the latch head according to the present invention, the frame housing the latch body made of synthetic resin is bent inward from the rear end edge of the side wall and formed integrally with the tip of the latch rod. An auxiliary wall provided with a recess in which the pin is fitted, and a rear wall provided with a through-hole which is provided from the rear end edge of the bottom plate and through which the shaft pin is inserted, form a double wall connecting portion with the latch bar. Since the tip of the shaft pin formed integrally with the tip of the latch rod is caulked and fixed, the connecting portion can be made rigid, and the force applied to the latch head does not work in the direction around the shaft pin. Therefore, the connecting portion does not rattle even when used many times. Further, since the latch head according to the present invention has a structure in which the latch pin is connected to the latch rod by a shaft pin formed integrally with the latch rod, a hole for inserting the lock pin into the latch rod may be formed, or a separate hole may be formed. There is no need to provide a lock pin. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIGS. 1 to 4 show an embodiment of the latch head of the present invention.
Reference numeral 4 indicates the assembled latch head. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the latch head 4 of this embodiment has a latch body 2 made of a hard synthetic resin having an inclined cam surface 1, and the latch body 2 is housed and fixed. It consists of a metal frame 5 connected to the latch bar 3. The latch body 2 is made of an engineering synthetic resin material such as polyamide, polyacetal, and polycarbonate, which has both rigidity and slippery, like a conventional one, and has a substantially triangular longitudinal section, and its long side is slightly outward. The inclined cam surface 1 is formed in a curved shape. A step portion for accommodating a pair of claw pieces 12, 12 which are crimped and bent to fix the latch body 2 to a frame 5 surrounding the latch body 2, which will be described later, is provided on the top ridge of the latch body 2. 13, 13 are formed, and a projection 15 is formed on the bottom surface of the latch body 2 so as to be fitted in a through hole 14 formed through the bottom plate 11 of the frame body 5 to prevent the latch body 2 from falling off in the front-rear direction.
Further, a recess 18 for accommodating a caulked portion 17 at the tip of a shaft pin 16 formed integrally with the tip of the latch rod 3 is formed in the rear surface of the latch body 2. On the other hand, a frame 5 for surrounding and fixing the latch 2
As shown in a development view of FIG. 4, a rigid metal plate is punched out to form an original plate 19 having a predetermined shape, and this is bent. The frame body 5 has substantially triangular side walls 6 and 6 having a pair of claw pieces 12, 12 erected from both side edges of the bottom plate 11 and fixedly provided at the upper end thereof.
A pair of auxiliary walls 8, 8, which are bent inward from the rear end edges of the side walls 6, respectively, and provided with recesses 7, 7 in which the shaft pins 16 of the latch rods 3 are fitted, And a rear wall 10 provided with a through hole 9 standing up from the rear end edge and through which the shaft pin 16 of the latch bar 3 is inserted. And a hole-shaped portion 21 having a pair of recesses 7, 7 provided at the edges of the auxiliary walls 8, 8 facing each other,
The through hole 9 of the rear wall 10 is provided coaxially so that the shaft pin 16 is inserted therethrough, and the auxiliary walls 8, 8 and the rear wall 10 are formed in close contact. Reference numeral 20 denotes a washer 20 mounted on the shaft pin 16 and interposed between the frame 5 and the latch bar 3. A tip end of the latch bar 3 formed of a rigid metal bar connected to the frame 5 has a shaft pin 16 having an outer diameter substantially equal to the hole size of the through hole 9. Are formed integrally. When connecting the latch bar 3 to the frame 5 formed as described above, first, the shaft pin 16 of the latch bar 3 is inserted through the washer 20 and the through hole 9 of the rear wall 10 of the frame 5. Then, the ends of the shaft pins 16 are connected by hitting and caulking, and firmly fixed. Since the shaft pin 16 is formed coaxially and integrally with the tip of the latch bar 3, it can be set to any thickness suitable for the caulking operation. Therefore, the shaft pin set to an appropriate thickness does not cause distortion due to the caulking operation, and the rear wall 10 serving as a connecting portion of the frame body 5 is formed as a double wall, so that the latch rod 3 and the frame are formed. It is rigidly integrated with the body 5. A washer may be interposed in the caulking portion 17, but since the auxiliary walls 8, 8 also function as a washer, they can be sufficiently firmly fixed without a separate washer. To assemble the latch head 4, the latch body 2 is fitted into the frame 5 to which the latch rod 3 is connected with the inclined cam surface 1 facing upward, and the projection 15 is fitted into the through-hole 14 to latch the latch head 4. The head is prevented from coming off in the front-rear direction, and the claw pieces 12, 12 are folded inwardly and caulked to secure the head from coming off in the vertical direction. According to the latch head of the present invention,
The connecting portion between the latch head and the latch bar is formed as a double wall, and the tip of the shaft pin formed integrally with the tip of the latch bar is caulked and fixed, so that the connecting portion can be made robust, Further, since the force applied to the latch head does not work in the direction around the shaft pin, the connecting portion does not rattle even when used many times. Therefore, the strength of the entire latch is improved. Further, according to the latch head according to the present invention, the latch head has a structure in which the latch head is connected by a shaft pin integrally formed at the tip of the latch rod. There is no need to make a hole for inserting the lock pin into the lock pin, or to separately prepare and set the lock pin. Therefore, the operation of assembling the latch is simplified, and the latch can be manufactured at low cost.
