トラクトが知られている。エキストラクトが使われてき
た理由は、それがゴムに対する非常に高い溶解性を持っ
ているからである。 【0003】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】上述したように、エキ
ストラクトには溶解性の高さという利点はあったが、安
全性の面で問題があった。すなわち、エキストラクト
は、とりわけ発ガン性が高いことが問題点として認識さ
れていた。本発明は、そのような問題点を解決するため
になしたものであって、安全で優れた性能のゴム用可塑
剤の提供を目的とする。 【0004】 【課題を解決するための手段】上記目的を達成するため
に鋭意研究を重ねた発明者らは、ナフテン系ベースオイ
ルとナフテン系のアスファルトとを混合することによ
り、求めるゴム用可塑剤(プロセスオイル)を得ること
ができことを知見した。本発明は、この知見に基づいて
なされたものである。 【0005】 【発明の実施の形態】高圧・高温水素化精製したナフテ
ン系ベースオイルとナフテン系アスファルトとを、規定
比率で混合することによりゴム用可塑剤を製造する。 【0006】 【実施例】本発明に係るゴム用可塑剤は、高圧・高温水
素化精製したナフテン系ベースオイルとナフテン系アス
ファルトを、規定比率で混合することにより製造でき
る。ここで、混合の規定比率は、表1に示すように、全
体を100質量%としたときに、ナフテン系ベースオイ
ル63質量%に対しナフテン系アスファルト37質量%
としたときに好結果を得ることができた。この規定比率
以外についてのゴム用可塑剤の物性は、表1に示す通り
である。なお、表1に記載した「A/O MIX.」は
商標であって、本発明に係るゴム用可塑剤のことを示し

たところ、従来のエキストラクトと同等の溶解性を確認

EUのPCA3%未満という安全基準の双方をクリアし

エキストラクトに代わる安全で優れたゴム用可塑剤を提
供することができる。
