ン線を二重に巻いた、いわゆる二重フィラメントコイル
をバルブ内に設けることで所望の明るさと寿命特性(1
000時間寿命における効率。以下これをIE1000
という)を得ていた。 【0003】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】ところで、白熱電球に
おいては、その諸特性としての消費電力、明るさが優先
し、従来のフィラメントコイルの設計では寿命特性を十
分に満足させることができにくいという問題があった。 【0004】本発明は、明るさおよび寿命時間を維持し
つつランプ効率を向上することのできる白熱電球を得る
ことを目的とする。 【0005】 【課題を解決するための手段】本発明の白熱電球は、二
重巻きフィラメントコイルにおいて、フィラメント素線
の直径をFD1(mm)、二次コイルの芯線直径をMD2
(mm)、一次コイルの外径をFD2(mm)、一次コ
イルのピッチをP1(mm)、としたとき(FD 1+MD
2)/(FD2+MD2)+(P1/FD1)−1.5の値
が0.72〜0.76の範囲にあるものをバルブ内に有
した構成を有している。 【0006】フィラメント素線の直径(FD1)と二次
コイルの芯線直径(MD2)との和、および一次コイル
の外径(FD2)と二次コイル芯線直径(MD2)との和
の比と、一次コイルのピッチ(P1)およびフィラメン
ト素線の直径(FD1)の比との和から1.5を引いた
値を0.72〜0.76の範囲とすることによって、動
程中のフィラメントコイルの温度を高くでき、また熱ロ
スを少なくでき、明るさが一定の場合、フィラメント素
線の直径を太く、また長さを長くすることが可能とな
る。従って明るさおよび寿命時間を維持しつつランプ効
率を向上することのできる低消費電力の白熱電球を得る
ことができる。 【0007】 【発明の実施の形態】図1に示す本発明の一実施の形態
である白熱電球(以下、本発明品という)は、ガラスか
らなる透明バルブ1の一端にステム2が設けられてお
り、ステム2にはバルブ1内に延在する一対の導入線3
が設けられている。バルブ内部に位置する側の導入線3
の先端部間に二重巻きのフィラメントコイル4が架設さ
れている。導入線3のバルブ1の外部に延在する部分
(図示せず)はバルブの一端に設けられた口金6にそれ
ぞれ接続されている。 【0008】なお、支持体5は一端がステム2に固着さ
れ、その他端でフィラメントコイル4の中間部を支持し
ている。また、バルブ1内にはアルゴンと窒素の混合ガ
スが封入されている。 【0009】図2、図3、図4および図5に示すよう
に、本実施形態におけるフィラメントコイル4は、直径
(FD1)が0.050mmのタングステンからなる素
線を用いて、内径(MD1)が0.09mm、外径(F
2)が0.19mm、ピッチ(P1)が0.076mm
とした一次コイル7を形成し、この一次コイル7を用い
て、芯線直径、すなわち内径(MD2)が0.32m
m、ピッチ(P2)が0.274mmの二次コイル8を
形成したものである。 【0010】このフィラメントコイル4は、(FD1
MD2)/(FD2+MD2)+(P1/FD1)−1.5
の値が0.72〜0.76の範囲にあるようコイル特性
