【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、家庭やレストラン等の
厨房から発生する生ゴミを加熱、乾燥処理する厨芥処理
装置に関する。

【従来の技術】この種の厨芥処理装置として、例えば、
図3に示すように生ゴミを処理容器1内で加熱し乾燥さ
せることで減量、軽量化して貯蔵、運搬の取扱いの容易
化を図ったものがある。そこでは、処理容器1の外周を
外箱2で覆っている。外箱2は処理容器1の周側方およ
び底部を覆う箱本体3と箱本体3の上方を覆う蓋5とか
らなる。そして処理容器1内への外気取入れ用の送風フ
ァン26を、処理容器1の内部上方に対応する蓋5に設
けたファンケース27に内蔵し、この送風ファン26に
より外気を蓋5と箱本体3間に設けた隙間28から蓋5
内の断熱空間Sに吸い込み、送風ファン26の軸周りの
通孔29を介してファンケース27内に通し、ファンケ
ース27に設けた送気口30から処理容器1内に吹き込
み、もって処理容器1内で発生する気体の排気促進など
を図っている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかるに、外箱2は処
理容器1内で生ゴミの加熱乾燥中に発生する蒸気熱で高
温となり、特に処理容器1の真上を塞ぐ蓋5はその蒸気
熱で非常に高温となりやすかった。そのため、例えば、
蓋5に電源スイッチ等の操作部31を備える場合この操
作部31が熱を帯びて不安感を抱かせたり、蓋5の上に
他の物を置いた場合熱損傷を加えられやすく、また箱本
体3を鉄板等の耐候性に優れる金属板等で製作した場合
この表面が熱くなりやすいという問題が生じる。こうし
た問題は、断熱対策として処理容器1と箱本体3との間
に断熱空間Sを形成し、また蓋5の内部にも断熱空間S
を形成することにより幾分解消されるが、充分に満足で
きるものではなかった。すなわち、蓋5内の断熱空間S
は処理容器1の内部と通孔29および送気口30を介し
て連通状態にあるため、送風ファン26の駆動停止時に
処理容器1内の蒸気が逆流して流入するため蓋5の断熱
効果を期し難い、といった欠点がある。
【0004】本発明の目的は、こうした問題を解消する
ためになされたもので、外箱と処理容器間の断熱効果の
向上を図ることのできる厨芥処理装置を提供するにあ
る。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、図示例のよう
に生ゴミを受け入れて加熱、乾燥処理する処理容器1を
外箱2の内部に収納配備し、外気を処理容器1内に送り
込む送気口7が、処理容器1の上方に設けられている厨
芥処理装置において、処理容器1と外箱2との間の該処
理容器1の上部に、断熱空間Sが区画形成されており、
外箱2には、外気吸込口14および排出口15が前記断
熱空間Sと連通するように開口しており、前記断熱空間
S内には、送風ファンおよび駆動モータからなる送風手
段16を備えており、送風手段16により外気を外気吸
込口14から断熱空間S内に吸込み、排出口15へ向け
て排出するようにしてあり、前記送気口7の近傍に、送
気口7からの外気を処理容器1内に吹き付けるための送
風ファン26を備えており、送風手段16の駆動モータ
が、送風ファン26の駆動モータを兼ねていることを特
徴とする。

【実施例】(第1実施例)
図1は本発明の第1実施例を示す。この厨芥処理装置は
生ゴミが投入される処理容器1を外箱2の中に収納配置
している。外箱2は処理容器1の周側方および底部を覆
う箱本体3と、箱本体3の上方にヒンジ4まわりに開閉
回動自在に備えた蓋5にて構成する。蓋5の表面には電
源スイッチ等の操作部31を備えている。処理容器1は
シーズヒータ等の加熱手段(図示省略)で生ゴミを焦げ
つかせない程度に熱せられるものとし、その内部には生
ゴミを攪拌して乾燥を促進させるための攪拌翼6を装着
している。上記加熱手段としては、シーズヒータのほか
に、例えば高周波によって生ゴミを加熱するマグネトロ
ンを処理容器1に備えるもの、電磁波により処理容器1
を鉄損発熱により自己発熱させるものであってもよい。
【0008】処理容器1の内部には外気を送り込んで攪
拌、排気の促進を図るために、処理容器1の上方を塞ぐ
蓋5の底壁5aに送気口7を設ける一方、処理容器1の
下方にポンプ8を配置し、このポンプ8と送気口7とを
送気管路9で接続している。送気口7には送風ファン2
6を設けて、ポンプ8から送り込まれる外気を処理容器
1内の生ゴミに吹き付けるようにしている。なお送気管
路9には逆止弁10を介入し、ポンプ8の停止時に処理
容器1内の気体が送気管路9を通ってポンプ8の方へ逆
流するのを防止する。
【0009】蓋5はこれの内部に断熱空間Sを形成し
て、これの表面温度が処理容器1内の蒸気熱により上昇
するのを防止する。その断熱空間Sは蓋5の底壁5aで
もって箱本体3および処理容器1と仕切ることにより処
理容器1および送気管路9のそれぞれの内部とは独立さ
せて非連通状態に形成している。そのうえで、蓋5の正
面側に、吸気管路9の外気吸込口とは独立した外気吸込
口14を、蓋5の背面側に排出口15をそれぞれ設け
る。そして蓋5の内部に送風ファンおよび駆動モータか
らなる送風手段16を設け、この送風手段16により外
気を外気吸込口14から断熱空間S内に吸い込み、排出
口15へ排出するようにしている。なお、上記送風手段
16の駆動モータとしては上記送風ファン26の駆動モ
ータを利用している。外気吸込口14には塵埃侵入防止
用のフィルター19を付けることが好ましい。送風ファ
ン26の軸と蓋5の底壁5aの間にはシールを施すこと
になる。

込口14、断熱空間S内、および排出口15の順路を経
て流れる外気の空気流は積極的に促進するため、蓋5と
処理容器1との間の断熱効果を高めることができる。ま

に発生する蒸気を外部へ排出するための排気管路20を
設けるが、この排気管路20の排気口21は上記断熱空
間Sの排出口15に臨ませて設けること、または排出口
15とは別の箇所に設けることは任意である。断熱空間
Sの排出口15に排気管路20の排気口21を臨ませて
設けた場合は送風手段16によって送られる新鮮な乾燥
した空気が排気口21から排出される排気と混合して排
気を冷却することができ、排気熱による火傷事故や排出
口周辺の熱損傷を防止できて安全に使用できる。この場
合排気管路20の中途部に、処理容器1から排出される
蒸気に触媒作用を及ぼして酸化脱臭するための触媒脱臭
部22を設けてある。これら排出口15と排気口21と
を独立して設ける場合は排気管路20の排気口21は既
設の排水管(図示省略)に接続することができる。

3に示す装置と同様に処理容器1の周側方および底部を
排水容器24で覆うとともに、蓋5の下方で処理容器1
