2. Description of the Related Art As a conventional method for watermarking a predetermined printing paper sheet to prevent forgery, for example, a watermarking method in which a watermark is applied by using a pressing force of a pressure roll in a paper machine, and a paper surface There is a method of applying a watermark to a paper surface by applying a printing means. In the former watermarking method that uses the pressure of the pressure roll, the pressure roll (mold roll) must be created and replaced every time the pattern, characters, or figure of the watermark is changed. There was a problem in terms of economical efficiency because it was very expensive.

Further, the latter method of watermarking using a printing means has an advantage that the economical efficiency is remarkably improved as compared with the method of watermarking using the pressure roll, but on the other hand, it should be printed. Since a transparent oil-based ink is used as the watermark-imparting agent, for example, if the amount of the oil-based ink applied to the paper surface is too large, bleeding on the paper surface may occur and the watermark pattern etc. may become unclear. When the amount is insufficient, parts such as a watermark pattern will be missing, so it is difficult to apply a clear watermark pattern, etc. Therefore, there was a problem that it was necessary to manage the applied amount of severe oil ink. .

Therefore, the present inventor applies a watermark on a paper surface to prevent bleeding of the oil-based ink on the paper surface and the generation of a watermark missing portion at the time of watermarking the paper surface using the above-mentioned printing method. I applied for the device first, and have already been published and patented in Japanese Patent Publication No. 3-31593.

The gist of this patent is to fix a plate material, which is a planographic plate or a curved plate, on the surface of which a pattern, characters, figures, etc. are formed through a cushion sheet on a metal base or plate cylinder, and the plate material is fixed. A press roll for pressing the printing paper, which is superposed on the surface of the plate material, against the surface of the plate material on the upper side of the plate material. All of the appropriate amount of transparent ink applied to the surface of the material penetrates from the front side of the printing paper through its inner core to the back side, so that the transparent ink does not bleed in the paper surface direction. Penetrates in the thickness direction,
The feature is that watermarks such as characters and patterns can be clearly applied.

However, in the apparatus for watermarking a paper surface by the above printing method, the plate material is pressed only on one surface of the paper to be printed, and the transparent ink is applied to the inner core of the paper to be printed. Since it is intended to penetrate the back surface of the printing paper after passing through the part, it is natural that the penetration amount of the transparent ink into the printing paper is affected by the thickness of the printing paper, especially when the printing paper is a thick letter. However, there was a problem that the watermark on the back side of the thick letter was insufficient and it was impossible to perform effective watermarking by the printing means.

That is, in the pressing means for pressing the plate material using only the surface using the watermarking device of the above patent, the thickness of the plain paper is not a problem, but the thickness of the printing paper is, for example, about 300 μm. When it is, it causes a shortage in the amount of transparent ink applied, and it is difficult to penetrate the transparent ink to the back surface through the inner core portion of the thick letter,
Watermarking of thick letters by printing means is not possible. Further, as a means for increasing the permeability of the ink from the front side to the back side of the thick letter, it is possible to increase the amount of ink applied to the plate material, but by applying a large amount of ink to the plate material, If you try to transfer (print) a large amount of ink to the paper surface, the ink will bleed faster in the paper surface direction than the speed at which it travels to the inner core of the paper, which causes bleeding on the paper surface easily. A clear pattern on thick letters,
It was impossible to apply watermarks such as characters and figures.

The cutting surface of the stacked sheets 3 to be cut in the primary cutting is cut by the cutting surface 5A cut by the vertical blade surface 4A of the cutting blade 4 and the inclined surface 4B of the cutting blade 4. Although the cutting surface 5B is generated and the cutting surface 5A cut by the vertical blade surface 4A has sharp linearity (mirror surface),
The cut surface 5B cut by the inclined blade surface 4B of the cutting blade 4 becomes uneven, and the cut surface lacks linearity (specularity). Due to the generation of the uneven cut surface 5B, the shape and dimension accuracy of the cut printing paper is lowered, and therefore, when the watermark is printed on the same place on the front and back sides, the print position is displaced, and it is impossible to give a clear watermark. Has become a cause.

At the time of the secondary cutting, the cutting dimensions of the sheet to be printed are adjusted so that each cutting surface of the stacking paper that has already been primary-cut and rough-cut is a sharp cutting surface having a mirror surface. In order to meet this requirement, it is essential to increase the precision, that is, to make a gold dot. In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2B, the primary cutting stacking paper 3 ′ is secondarily cut. When finishing cutting each edge on a printing paper having a predetermined size, the vertical blade surface 4A of the cutting blade 4 is the primary cutting stacking paper 3 '.
The direction of the cutting blade 4 is regulated so as to be in contact with each of the cutting edges.
