Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an ink tank for a printing apparatus, and more particularly, to an ink supply system in a printing apparatus. 2. Description of the Related Art An ink tank in which a porous body is filled in an ink tank of a recording apparatus so that the porous body absorbs ink is disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 54-31.
No. 898 is known. FIG . 4 is a view showing an example of an ink tank in which a porous body is filled in an ink tank. In the figure, 1 is an ink tank, 2 is a porous body, 3 is an air communication port, and 4 is an ink tank. The ink outlet hole for guiding the ink in the inside to the printing device, and the porous body 2 used in the conventional ink tank.
All had uniform pore density. As described above, the inside of the recording liquid storage section, for example, the inside of an ink tank or the like is filled with a porous body having micro continuous holes, and the inside of the porous body, that is, the pores are filled with the recording liquid (ink). In the ink tank, the recording liquid is confined in the pores of the porous body, so that the recording liquid moves little due to sudden vibration, impact, etc. Has the effect of preventing the mixing of
Practical. However, in this case, there is a problem in that the recording liquid permeates into the porous body and the remaining amount of ink in the ink tank is larger than that in the ink tank in which the porous body is not filled. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and in particular, has been made to partially change the pore density of a porous body filled in an ink tank, An object of the present invention is to provide an ink tank in which an ink outlet is provided for a portion having a high density, so that the remaining amount of ink in the tank can be reduced. [0005] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a porous material having a uniform pore density and a single material, the shape of which is rectangular. And an ink tank in which the porous body is compressed and housed. The ink tank has an ink outlet hole on the bottom surface and an air communication hole on the upper surface facing the bottom surface, and the upper surface is To uniformly change the degree of compression of the porous body in one direction so as to change the degree of compression of the porous body, to maximize the degree of compression of the porous body at the portion of the ink lead-out hole, It is characterized by having a shape that minimizes the degree of compression of the porous body. Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view showing an example of an ink tank for a recording apparatus containing a porous body . Similar to the prior art shown in FIG. 4, 1 is an ink tank, 2 is a porous body, and 3 is an atmosphere. communication hole 4 shows the ink introduction hole. FIG. 1 shows a case where porous materials having different pore densities are used.
FIG. 6 is a diagram for explaining an example of an ink tank for a recording device according to the present invention.
The porous body 2 to be filled in the ink tank 1 is arranged such that the pore density thereof gradually decreases from a portion far from the ink outlet hole 4 toward the ink outlet hole 4 (see FIG. Is represented by the line density of oblique lines), and the vicinity of the ink lead-out hole 4 is configured to be the densest state. Therefore, the ink in the ink tank 1 is sequentially consumed from a portion having a low pore density to a portion having a low pore density of the porous body 2, and the final residual ink is in the vicinity of the outlet hole 4. In this case, the amount of ink remaining in the ink tank can be significantly reduced as compared with the related art in which the porous body having a uniform pore density is filled in the ink tank. The porous material used in the present invention is suitably made of a polymer material from the viewpoint of mass, workability, etc., for example, polyvinyl alcohol (Kanebo), Everlite SF (Product name: Bridgestone). FIG . 1 shows an example in which a porous body formed with different pore densities in advance is used. In addition, for example, a porous body having a uniform pore density is used, and if the compressibility is different. It is also possible to use it by storing it in an ink tank. This is to obtain the same function as a porous body having a different pore density by changing the degree of compression of a porous body having the same pore density.
That is, as the compression ratio of the porous body increases, the pore density becomes “dense”, and conversely, the pore density becomes “sparse”. [0010] Figure 2 is a porous body equalizing one stomatal density (FIG. 2
The (a)), housed in the ink tank 1 and compresses made different partially compression ratio (FIG. 2 (b)) for explaining an example
In Figure for, 2 smell Te, without deforming the shape of the ink tank 1 (FIG. 2 (b)), that is, while the same shape as the conventional ink tank, towards the porous body 2 processed by pre-deforming the shape and the state of FIG. 2 (a), the
2 from the state of (a) is deformed to the state shown in FIG. 2 (b) so as to house the ink tank 1, in other words, the ink tank the degree of compression of the porous body 2 as changes to partially Ru der those to be accommodated in the 1. FIG . 3 shows an ink cartridge for a recording apparatus according to the present invention.
FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining an embodiment of the present invention.
As in the example shown in FIG. 3, a porous body having a uniform pore density (FIG. 3)
(A)) is compressed by partially changing the compression ratio
It is stored in the tank 1 (FIG. 3B). Like this
Thus, in the present invention, the porous body 2 is different from the case of FIG.
Differently, the shape is not changed without prior processing.
In the state of the rectangular shape shown in FIG.
3 was changed as shown in FIG.
Then, the porous body 2 shown in FIG.
Thus, the degree of compression of the porous body 2 is reduced by the ink tank.
The porous body is made to partially change according to the shape of
Atmospheric communication holes 3 are provided on the upper surface where the degree of compression is highest.
The ink outlet hole 4 is provided on the bottom part where the degree of compression is the highest.
It is provided. As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, the pore density of the porous body filled in the ink tank is partially changed, and the compression degree of the porous body is changed.
The ink outlet hole is provided at the bottom side where the ink is highest , so that the remaining amount of ink in the ink tank can be significantly reduced as compared with the related art , and the compression degree of the porous body can be reduced.
Make the air communication hole in the top side where the joint is the smallest.
Ink is guided by the capillary action of the porous body.
When moving in the direction of the hole,
Air can be prevented from entering the
It is possible to reduce air bubbles mixed in the ink,
Stable ink ejection characteristics are obtained, and ink
By tilting the upper surface facing the outlet, the ink
The ink flows down the slope in the direction of the ink outlet,
To facilitate the movement in the direction of the lead-out hole.
