Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a serial recording apparatus, and more particularly to a paper feeding mechanism for a recording medium. 2. Description of the Related Art A recording paper conveying means of a printer adopts a system in which a recording paper is conveyed by a paper feed roller disposed in front of or behind a print head. For this reason,
It is necessary to arrange the paper feed roller as close to the print head as possible. However, since there is a limit in design due to the size of the roller, etc., recording is performed by a printer that employs such a recording paper conveying means. In such a case, a portion where recording is impossible occurs at the lower or upper end of the recording paper in an area corresponding to the distance between the print head and the paper feed roller. In order to solve such inconveniences, paper feed rollers are arranged at two positions on the front side and the rear side of the print head, and the driving of the paper feed is switched during the recording and writing of one recording sheet. Also, a paper feed mechanism that enables recording to the lower end of the recording paper has been proposed. However, since the paper feed drive is switched during the recording, there is a problem in that the accuracy of the paper feed changes before and after the paper feed, and the print quality is degraded. The present invention has been made in view of such a problem, and an object of the present invention is to perform serial recording in which the lower end and the upper end of a recording sheet can be fed into a printing area without changing the sheet feeding accuracy. It is to provide a device. [0005] In the present invention in order to Means for Solving the Problems] To solve such problems, a dot image corresponding to the input information on a recording medium supported on the platen roller, the platen

A recording medium supporting unit that is arranged on the upstream side of a recording area of the print head in a recording medium feeding direction and presses the recording medium against the platen roller, and when feeding the recording medium for one line ,
The recording medium is pressed against the platen roller to follow the rotation of the platen roller and move forward in the recording medium feed direction .
From the upstream side of the recording area of the printing head to the printing area.
Go to the recording region of the head to perform recording medium feed, also
Of the printing head after the end of the recording medium feeding of said one line
The printing on the upstream side in the recording medium feeding direction from a recording area
And a pressing piece that moves to the outside of the recording area of the head . With the recording medium guide plate sandwiching the recording medium, the pressing piece is moved to the recording area with the rotation of the platen roller .
We feed one line transportable recording medium in the recording area from the outside of the upstream side,
After that, move the print head outside the recording area to
Since the process of returning to the original position is repeated, the recording medium can be fed and the print area from the upper end to the lower end of the recording medium can be set as the print area without causing the recording medium to be displaced.
You. An embodiment of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIGS. 1 and 2 show an embodiment of a paper feed mechanism of a serial recording apparatus according to the present invention. A print head 1 is guided by a guide shaft 2 and reciprocates in the axial direction of a platen roller 3. Then, a dot image corresponding to the input information is formed on the recording paper. The swinging lever 5 is pivotally supported by supporting shafts 8, 8 fixed to side frames 7, 7 of the printer body, and a member 9 suspended at the tip is a driven roller formed of a soft elastic material. 10 ... are supported. The eccentric cam 3 moves these driven rollers 10 to a position immediately before the printing portion of the platen roller 3 in the travel area of the print head 1, that is, a downstream area deviated from a paper guide plate 14 described later, and The swing lever 5 is driven to move to two positions on the upstream side of the traveling area. A drive motor 11 is connected to an eccentric cam 13 via a reduction gear 12, and retreats the swing lever 5 out of the travel area of the print head 1 during recording performed by the print head 1. At the time of paper feeding after the recording of one line is completed, the eccentric cam 13 is controlled to be intermittently driven so as to rotate the swing lever 5 into the travel area of the print head 1. When the swing lever 5 moves into the travel area of the print head 1, the print head is moved to a non-image area or a print head stoppable area in the image area so as not to interfere with the print head 1. It is desirable to retreat to one of the 18 and the area closest to the recording end point of one line. A paper guide plate 14 serving as a recording medium supporting means is urged by a spring 16 so as to lightly press the platen roller 3 around a support shaft 15 fixed to the side frame 7 of the printer body. The function of the driven roller 10 is to prevent the recording paper from being displaced when the driven roller 10 moves up and down and also during the recording operation. In this embodiment, the print head 1 is moved to a non-image area by a paper feed command, and the swing lever 5 having the driven roller 10 is driven by the platen roller 3 according to the eccentric cam 13.
Press on the peripheral surface of. The recording paper is fed from a paper feed table (not shown), and is conveyed by rotation of the platen roller 3 to a position where printing can be performed between the platen roller 3 and the driven roller 10. After the paper is fed, the swing lever 5 retreats outside the travel area of the print head 1 according to the eccentric cam 13, and the first line can be recorded. When printing of one line is completed by the print head 1, the print head 1 moves to a non-image area or the nearest print head stoppable area 18. In this state, the swing lever 5 is swung into the travel area, and the driven roller 10 at the tip thereof is pressed against the platen roller 3 immediately before the printing section against the peripheral surface, thereby feeding the recording paper by one line. After the paper is fed, the print head 1 retreats out of the traveling area. Thereby, the recording operation by the print head 1 becomes possible. Thereafter, this operation is repeated to execute the recording operation while feeding the recording paper by one line. Needless to say, since the paper guide plate 14 can be made of a plate material, it is extremely thin as compared with a roller. Therefore, even if the paper guide plate 14 extends to the vicinity of the recording area, the movement of the print head 1 is not hindered. The end of the recording paper can be supported by the recording area. FIGS. 3 and 4 show a second embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, a swing lever 25 is used.
Is attached to the shaft 22 of the platen roller 23 so as to be swingable, and a pressing piece 30 made of a flexible elastic material attached to the tip is pressed against the peripheral surface of the platen roller 23 so that the print head 21 does not record. The recording paper is fed line by line. The swing lever 25 pivotally supported by the shaft 22 of the platen roller 23 is positioned outside the travel area of the print head 21 while the print head 21 is recording and writing, in other words, at a position where the print operation of the print head 21 is not hindered. (A position). Further, a small lever 27 for contacting and separating the pressing piece is vertically pivotally supported on a shaft 26 suspended at a free end portion of the swing lever 25 so as to be vertically movable. This small lever 2
Reference numeral 7 denotes a pressing piece 30 attached to the front end of the platen roller 23 in the rotation direction, for moving the pressing piece 30 into and out of contact with the peripheral surface of the platen roller 23.
A spring 28 that constantly urges 0 in a direction away from the platen roller 23 is attached. The tip of the small lever 27 is
Is connected to one end of a solenoid 29 attached to the solenoid valve. The solenoid 29 is temporarily energized when the recording paper is conveyed, and the small lever 27 is moved for a time corresponding to the feed amount for one line.
Is urged toward the platen roller 23 side. In this embodiment, the solenoid 29 is used for printing.
Is in the non-energized state, the swinging lever 25 is set to the position indicated by A in FIG.
It is retracted to a position, that is, an area that does not hinder recording by the print head 21. When the recording of one line is completed, the solenoid 29 is biased and the pressing piece 3 at the tip of the small lever 27 is pressed.
0 is pressed against the recording paper surface of the platen roller 23. As a result, the small lever 27 moves clockwise in the drawing to the position B corresponding to one printing line due to the frictional force between the small lever 27 and the platen roller 23, and the recording paper sandwiched between the small lever 27 and the platen roller 23 moves one line. Send out only minutes. Thereafter, the solenoid 29 is deenergized and the small lever 27 returned from the biasing cam of the spring 28 separates the pressing piece 30 from the platen roller 23. As a result, the swing lever 25 having released the frictional force with the platen roller 23 returns to the position A again, and the next row can be recorded. Further, the movement of the swing lever 25 during the above operation does not interfere with the print head 1, and the operation can be performed immediately after the end of recording for one line. The paper guide plate 24 serving as the recording medium supporting means is the recording medium supporting means of the above-described embodiment.
The pressing piece 3 is arranged in the same manner as a certain paper guide plate 14.
The platen roller 23 is supported by a spring or the like with a support shaft fixed to a side frame of the printer body as a fulcrum so as not to interfere with the operation of the printer body 0 and to support the recording paper just before the printing area.
Lightly. With this configuration, the solenoid 29
The displacement of the recording paper can be prevented when the pressing piece 30 comes into contact with or separates from the pressing piece 30 due to the above operation. When the required recording and writing processing on the recording paper is completed in this manner, the print head 21 moves to the non-image area, and at the same time, the solenoid 29 is urged to swing the swing lever 25 together with the platen roller 23 in the figure. The recording paper is discharged by rotating it to the position C, and then the solenoid 29 is deenergized to return the swing lever 25 to the original position A, thereby entering a standby state. According to the present invention as described above ,
With the recording medium guide plate holding the recording medium, the pressing piece
Can be paper feed with high accuracy recording medium by Kupu Latin rollers such letting go to the recording area in the feed direction of the recording medium misaligned on the recording medium.
