気清浄機で、やや偏平で直方体状外装ケース3の底面略
中央部に吸気孔4を開口し、かつこの吸気孔には、板金
にメッシュ状に多数の通気孔5…を穿孔したカバー6、

ている。又上記外装ケース3内中央部の上記吸気孔4の
上部には、前後に一対の電気集塵方式の集塵装置10、
10を並設して内蔵し、又この集塵装置と外装ケース3
間に、上記吸気孔4と吹出孔7、7とを連通する通気路
11を区画形成し、かつこの通気路内の上記集塵装置1
0、10の両側にクロスフロー型のブロアファン12、
12を装着し、このブロアファンの運転により、室内空
気を上記吸気孔4より集塵装置10、10内に吸引して
通過した後、通気路11を経て吹出孔7、7より脱臭フ
ィルータ9、9を介して室内に循環する様に構成してい
る。この結果、集塵装置10、10とブロアファン1
2、12とが水平方向に並置される。尚上記集塵装置1
0、10は、多数の針状の電極14…を支持材15…に
て所定の間隔を置いてマトリクス状に配設したニードル
電極16と、このニードル電極の上記電極14…間に挿
入装着されるステンレス板等を格子状に組合せた対向電
極17とを組合せて構成している。一方上記通気路11
内のブロアファン12、12と脱臭フィルータ9、9と
の間には、周知のセラミックヒータやコイルヒータ等で
構成したヒータ18、18を装着している。そして、冬
季等の気温が低い場合には、図示しないヒータスイッチ
のオン操作によって上記ヒータに通電すれば、上記吸気
孔4より吸引されて集塵装置10、10にて浄化された
空気が、ヒータ18、18にて加熱されて温風となって
吹出孔7、7より室内に噴出されるので、この吹出孔の
近くに居ても寒さを感じることなく、快適な浄化運転を
行う事が出来る。又、上記ヒータ18、18を脱臭フィ
ルータ9、9の上流側に配設したことで、上記ブロアフ
ァン12、12より排出された風が脱臭フィルータ9、
9部分で加圧されて混合し、上記吹出孔7、7から噴出
する風の温度を均一化するものである。尚、空気清浄機
1の運転時には、ブロアファン12、12を回転し、か
つ集塵装置10のニードル電極16…に所定の高電圧を
印加することで、室内空気がカバー5を介して吸気孔4
より吸引された後、集塵装置10のニードル電極16…
