Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a pigment diluting method for easily and accurately toning a non-colored base paint to a desired color with a pigment liquid. The present invention relates to a composition liquid for use, a pigment liquid set for toning, and a method for toning paint. 2. Description of the Related Art Color paint users select and use color paints of a very wide variety of colors, and it is impossible to keep all of them on the user side. For this reason, conventionally, in general, each time a user uses a colored paint, the user designates a colored paint of a desired color based on a color sample or the like and places an order with a colored paint maker. The pigment stock solution was mixed under a specific formulation to produce a colored paint, which was delivered to the user. However, in such a colored paint procurement system, a predetermined time is required for the user and the maker to perform the processing of the issuing / ordering and the delivery, so that at least about 24 hours elapse from the ordering to the completion of the delivery. That is the fact. Therefore, during this time, the user has to wait unnecessarily. [0004] From such a point, in recent years, users have always provided a base paint, a pigment stock solution of various colors, and a toning device (a weighing machine, a mixing stirrer, etc.) in their own store, and the user can freely and quickly prepare a colored paint. There is a demand for manufacturing (coloring of base paint). [0005] However, in order to achieve a desired color of the base paint, a precise mixing prescription is required (particularly, a small amount of the pigment stock solution is reduced to a small amount such as "7.15 mL"). It is necessary to perform accurate and stable weighing and mixing in the unit of measurement), which requires expensive high-precision toning equipment and skilled toning operators who operate the equipment.
Since users who are not specialists in toning do not have these devices and workers, it is difficult for the user to perform accurate toning of the colored paint by himself. [0006] On the other hand, in view of such difficulties, some paint manufacturers have set the pigment concentration of the pigment stock solution to, for example, the usual one.
There is also an attempt to reduce the error in the measurement and mixing of the pigment stock solution by the user by increasing the measurement of the pigment stock solution by producing the pigment stock solution as reduced to about / 10. However, in this case, a large amount of a pigment stock solution having a low pigment concentration is mixed with the base paint. However, since the solvent or dispersion medium of the pigment stock solution is originally assumed to be slightly mixed with the base paint, compatibility with the base paint composition (influence on the performance of the base paint) is not taken into consideration so much. Mixing may compromise paint performance at the expense of toning objectives. Accordingly, the present invention does not include a high-precision toning device, enables accurate toning of a base paint even when there is no skilled worker, and avoids a decrease in paint performance due to toning. This is an issue to be solved. [0009] Not only the above-mentioned demands on the user side, but also on the occasion of performing the toning by the paint maker side as in the past, an expensive high-precision toning device or a skilled toning operation for operating the same. Providing a paint toning means that does not require a member would be extremely advantageous. The present inventor has developed a pigment diluting composition liquid which is, on the average, most suitable for base coating compositions having various compositions, which are said to be as many as 40 to 50 kinds, and at the same time, the base coating composition has been improved. At the time of toning, a pigment liquid for coarse toning having a high pigment concentration (for example,
The present invention has been completed by devising a system in which a pigment undiluted solution) and a finely-toned pigment liquid obtained by diluting the same with the above-mentioned pigment diluting composition liquid to a low pigment concentration are used in combination. (Structure of the First Invention) The structure of the first invention (the invention of claim 1) for solving the above-mentioned problems is that at least HEC as a thickener is used. (Hydroxyethylcellulose), a polycarboxylate, or a xanthan gum, and a colorless and transparent composition liquid containing an alkylene glycol as a drying inhibitor as a component, and a pigment manufactured for toning a base paint It is a pigment diluting composition liquid used for diluting a stock solution. (Structure of the Second Invention) The structure of the second invention (the invention according to claim 2) for solving the above-mentioned problem is as follows.
For a pigment liquid of an arbitrary color, the pigment concentration ratio is 5: 1 to 5
A toning pigment liquid set comprising the following rough toning pigment liquid and fine toning pigment liquid in the range of 0: 1, and these are used together for base paint toning. (1) High pigment concentration coarse toning, which is a pigment stock solution manufactured for base paint toning or a pigment solution obtained by diluting the pigment stock solution at a relatively low magnification with the pigment diluting composition solution according to the first invention. Pigment liquid. (2) A finely-toned pigment liquid having a low pigment concentration, which is a pigment liquid obtained by diluting a pigment stock solution at a relatively high magnification with the pigment diluting composition liquid according to the first invention. (Structure of Third Invention) The structure of the third invention (the invention according to claim 3) for solving the above-mentioned problem is as follows.
In the toning of the colored paint, the pigment liquid of one or more colors is used for the coarse toning of the base paint using the pigment liquid for coarse toning having a high pigment concentration according to the second invention in a large measuring unit. And a fine-toning method for the base paint using the pigment liquid for fine-toning having a low pigment concentration according to the second invention in a unit of measurement scaled up by a dilution factor. (Structure of Fourth Invention) The structure of the fourth invention (the invention according to claim 4) for solving the above-mentioned problem is as follows.
In the toning of a colored paint, the pigment liquid of one or more colors is used for the coarse toning of the base paint using the pigment liquid for coarse toning having a high pigment concentration according to claim 2 in a large measuring unit. ,
A paint toning method for performing fine toning of a base paint using the pigment liquid for fine toning having a low pigment concentration according to claim 2 in a unit of measurement scaled up by a dilution factor, and wherein the coarse toning is performed. Measure the amount of the pigment liquid and the pigment liquid for fine toning
This is a paint toning method performed using a weighing device capable of performing accurate weighing in various weighing units. (Function / Effect of the First Invention) The pigment diluent composition liquid of the first invention has good pigment dispersibility and
One of HEC (hydroxyethyl cellulose), polycarboxylate, and xanthan gum, which was developed in consideration of compatibility with various base coating compositions and is mainly for thickening and preventing pigment sedimentation. A mixture of the above thickener component and an alkylene glycol component mainly for preventing drying. By incorporating such components, it is possible to obtain a diluting composition liquid having the least adverse effect on the coating performance on average with respect to base pigments having various solvent compositions. That is, for base pigments having various solvent compositions,
Excellent effect of preventing sedimentation and caking of pigments, little effect on toning, not aggregating pigments during storage, little difference in color development due to differences in coating equipment and coating method during coating By the effect, deterioration of the paint performance can be more remarkably avoided. Therefore, by using the pigment liquid diluted with the pigment diluting composition liquid for toning base paints having various compositions, the sacrifice of the coating performance for the purpose of toning can be reduced as much as possible. (Functions and Effects of the Second and Third Inventions) In the second and third inventions, a pigment liquid for coarse toning having a high pigment concentration, such as a pigment stock solution, may be used, for example, in the form of "5.0 mL", "7. .0
By using a small amount in a large measuring unit such as "mL", the base paint is rough-toned (toning for adjusting the general color tone). That is, for example, weighing and mixing over minute measuring units below the decimal point such as “7.15 mL” are not required, and the measuring unit is large. Therefore, even when a high-precision toning device or a skilled worker is lacking, coarse adjustment is not possible. Accurate measurement and mixing of the color pigment liquid can be performed. On the other hand, fine toning (toning for adjusting accurate color tone) is performed using a pigment liquid for fine toning having a low pigment concentration in a measuring unit scaled up by a dilution factor. At this time, if high-precision toning equipment and skilled workers are lacking, it is still difficult to avoid a certain weighing error. In this case, however, extremely accurate toning results in the following reasons. Secured. Since fine toning is performed with a low pigment concentration within a specified range in which accurate rough toning is performed, a deviation in toning due to a measurement error is caused by a measurement error of the pigment stock solution itself as in the prior art. Much less than the toning shift. In addition, since the measurement unit of the low pigment concentration liquid itself is scaled up by the dilution factor, even in the case where a high-precision color-adjusting device or a skilled worker is lacking, compared to the above-described prior art, it is more accurate. You can expect a good measurement. Since fine toning is performed within the range of coarse toning with the coarse toning pigment liquid (small amount), only a small amount of fine toning pigment liquid needs to be used. Liquid +
The mixing amount of the pigment liquid for fine toning) is small. In addition, the pigment liquid for fine toning is prepared using the above-described pigment diluting composition liquid. Accordingly, the performance degradation of the paint and the deviation from the design performance range due to the mixing of the pigment liquid are reduced to a substantially negligible extent. The above effects will be described in further detail with reference to a specific example. In the case where a high-precision toning device or a skilled worker is lacking, for example, “7.15 mL” is accurately applied to the base paint.
When it is desired to measure and mix a pigment liquid equivalent to the above-described pigment raw liquid to perform toning, if the pigment raw liquid is directly measured, an error becomes large, resulting in considerably inaccurate toning. On the other hand, as described above, the pigment concentration was
When a commercially available pigment stock solution reduced to zero is used, the used amount becomes “71.5 mL” and the measuring unit is scaled up by one digit, so that the measuring accuracy is improved as far as it is. However, deterioration of the performance of the base paint due to mixing of a large amount of the pigment stock solution cannot be avoided. However, according to the third invention, for example, when the pigment concentration ratio of the coarsely-toned pigment liquid to the finely-toned pigment liquid is 40: 1, the coarse-toned pigment liquid is "7.0 mL"; It is sufficient to measure "0.15 × 40 = 6.0 mL" of the pigment liquid for fine toning. That is, since both pigment liquids may be measured in units of 1 mL, the measurement accuracy is significantly improved. In addition, since the total mixing amount of both pigment liquids is only 13 mL and the pigment diluting composition liquid according to the first invention is used, the performance of the base paint does not substantially deteriorate. (Function / Effect of the Fourth Invention) Among the relatively inexpensive various toning devices that can be used by users of colored paints,
Due to its mechanism, there is a weighing device capable of accurate weighing in two large and small weighing units. Although the type and contents of the mechanism are not limited, for example, two types of measuring piston pumps of a large capacity and a small capacity are provided, and the filling capacity of these pumps is increased by a gauge or the like. Unit of measurement (5m
Some small-capacity pumps can be accurately adjusted for each small metering unit (0.5 mL unit, 1 mL unit, etc.) for each L unit, 10 mL unit, etc. In this case, once the filling volume is set, the set amount is accurately measured simply by fully filling the pump. When the toning method of the third invention is carried out using the toning device including such a metering device, the measuring unit specific to the large-capacity pump is first used for both the rough-toning pigment liquid and the fine-toning pigment liquid. 1 to several times of pump operation, and even if a fraction occurs, the measurement of the fractional number is completed by one to several times of pump operation by a small measuring unit specific to a small capacity pump. Therefore, measurement can be performed very easily and accurately. The amount of the pigment liquid for coarse toning is specified by a large measuring unit, and the amount of the pigment liquid for fine toning is also specified by the measuring unit scaled up by the dilution factor. For any of the pigment liquids, the amount of the pigment liquid used and / or
Alternatively, it is easy to set the filling amount of the large-capacity pump, and even if a fractional quantity is obtained, a supplementary weighing without a further fraction can be easily performed by the small-capacity pump. More specifically, for example, when the pigment concentration ratio of the pigment liquid for coarse toning and the pigment liquid for fine toning is set to 40: 1, the pigment liquid for coarse toning is referred to as "7. 0 mL "and the fine-toning pigment liquid may be measured by" 0.15 × 40 = 6.0 mL ". Here, for both the coarse-toning pigment liquid and the fine-toning pigment liquid, for example, 5mL filling capacity for large capacity pump, 0.5m filling capacity for small capacity pump
If it is set as L, the operation is as follows. That is, with respect to the pigment liquid for rough toning, if the large-capacity pump is operated once and the small-capacity pump is operated four times, the above "7.0 mL" is automatically and accurately measured. For the pigment liquid for fine toning, if the large-capacity pump is operated once and the small-capacity pump is operated twice, the above "6.0 mL" is automatically and accurately measured. Such simple and accurate weighing can be achieved by accurately and simply using a “7.15 mL” pigment undiluted solution as in the prior art.
It is difficult if it is to be weighed and mixed. Because, in this case, it is necessary to adjust the gauge of at least the filling volume of the small capacity pump to "0.05 mL" unit or an extremely small unit of less than that.
This is because expensive and precise weighing devices and / or skilled operators are indispensable. Next, embodiments of the first to third aspects of the present invention will be described. In the following, the term “the present invention” simply refers to the first to third inventions collectively. [Pigment diluting composition liquid] The pigment diluting composition liquid contains at least one of HEC, polycarboxylate and xanthan gum (xanthan gum) as a thickener, and alkylene glycol as a drying inhibitor. By containing as a component, the above-mentioned excellent actions and effects can be obtained. The composition ratio of these components is not particularly limited, but may be as follows, for example. Thickener 0.5 to 5.0% by weight Drying inhibitor 3.0 to 20.0% by weight Preservative 0.1 to 1.0% by weight Fungicide 0.1 to 1.0% by weight 73.0 to 96.3% by weight of water As a thickener, HEC is particularly preferred because of its versatility due to its price and comparison with raw materials used in other products.
CMC (carboxymethylcellulose) and MC (methylcellulose) may have difficulty in water resistance and color development of paints, and polyethylene oxide has a weak sedimentation prevention performance and may cause pigment sedimentation. There is a concern that the thixotropic property, which is one of the viscous properties, is too strong in bentonite. As alkylene glycol which is a drying inhibitor (solvent), EG (ethylene glycol) is particularly preferable, but propylene glycol and the like can also be preferably used. EG can also be expected to have an excellent anti-freezing effect. With respect to other solvents, monoalcohol has a weak drying prevention effect and has a problem of odor. In the case of glycol ether, in addition to the problem of odor, the film forming property of the coating film may be affected. The pigment diluting composition may contain other optional components, for example, an antiseptic and a fungicide, as long as the purpose of use is not hindered. The pigment diluting composition liquid is a colorless and transparent composition liquid. However, it is not necessary to be completely colorless and transparent, and it may be substantially negligible colored or opaque when used as a diluting liquid of a pigment stock solution for toning a base paint. [Pigment Liquid Set for Toning] A pigment liquid set for toning is composed of a pigment liquid for coarse toning having a high pigment concentration and a pigment liquid for fine toning having a low pigment concentration, which are used together for toning a base paint. Become. In this case, the term "combined use" means that it is sufficient that the pigment liquid for coarse toning having a high pigment concentration and the pigment liquid for fine toning having a low pigment concentration are used together in the base paint toning. It is not necessary that these and the base paint be treated as a set at the time of manufacture, sale or storage. [Pigment Liquid for Coarse Toning and Pigment Liquid for Fine Toning] The pigment liquid for rough toning is prepared by diluting the pigment stock solution or the pigment diluting composition of the first invention at a relatively low magnification. It is a pigment liquid with a high pigment concentration. The pigment liquid for fine toning is a pigment liquid having a relatively low pigment concentration, which is obtained by diluting a stock pigment liquid with the pigment diluting composition liquid of the first invention at a relatively high magnification. The relative pigment concentration ratio of the pigment liquid for coarse toning and the pigment liquid for fine toning is not basically limited, but is 5: 1 to 5: 1.
It is preferable that the ratio be in the range of 50: 1 from the viewpoint of achieving both accurate toning of the base paint and maintenance of the paint performance. There is no limitation on the absolute pigment concentration of the coarse toning pigment liquid and the fine toning pigment liquid based on the pigment raw liquid, but usually, the coarse toning pigment liquid is mixed with the pigment raw liquid. The pigment concentration is the same or about a fraction thereof diluted with the above-described pigment diluting composition liquid, and the fine-toning pigment liquid is 5 to 50 times as large as the coarse-toning pigment liquid in the pigment diluting composition liquid. It is preferable that the diluent is diluted. [Pigment Toning Method] In the pigment toning method according to the third or fourth invention, in the pigment toning method of the present invention, the coarse toning of the base paint using the pigment liquid for coarse toning having a high pigment concentration and the fine toning of the low pigment concentration are performed. The fine toning of the base paint using the color pigment liquid may be performed over time in the order, may be performed in the reverse order over time, or may be performed simultaneously (coarse toning of the base paint). The pigment liquid for fine-toning and the pigment liquid for fine-toning can be mixed simultaneously, or both pigment liquids can be mixed after being measured, and then mixed with the base paint). This is because the effect of the present invention is that the amount of the pigment mixed into the base paint is accurately measured by measuring the pigment liquid for coarse toning and the pigment liquid for fine toning, respectively. It is ensured that, in any of the above cases, the effect of eliminating the difficulty of accurate toning with only a high pigment concentration liquid such as a pigment stock solution without significantly increasing the amount of the pigment liquid mixed into the base paint, This is because they are equally secured. This pigment toning method usually involves the steps of measuring / mixing / stirring, and the type of mechanical device or toning system used for each of these steps is limited to the third as far as necessary. The invention is not limited at all. 4th
In the present invention, a weighing device capable of accurately weighing in two types of large and small weighing units on a weight basis or volume basis, such as a device provided with the specific piston pump type weighing device described above, for example. Need. In carrying out the third invention or the fourth invention, the pigment liquid for rough toning and / or the pigment liquid for fine toning is generally measured on a volume basis (weighing the pigment liquid on a volume scale). Is superior in terms of working speed and the like, but may be based on weight-based measurement (weighing of the pigment liquid by weight). Example 1 Example of Formulation of Composition for Pigment Dilution As Example 1, a specific example of formulation of a composition for pigment dilution is shown below. In this formulation example, the component of the thickener is hydroxyethylcellulose, the component of the anti-drying agent is ethylene glycol (EG), and the preservative is Mie Petroleum Co., Ltd.'s trade name "Suneyevac P". As a fungicide, "Coatside" manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

A liquid set was configured. Example 3 Toning Example of Colored Paint (Example 3-1: Measuring Device Used) In Example 3, a pigment liquid for rough toning (pigment stock solution) to be mixed with the base paint was used. A measuring device as shown in FIG. 1 was used to measure the finely-toned pigment liquid. That is, the tank 1 is provided with the stirring blade 2 for periodically stirring the content liquid, and contains the pigment liquid. The tank 1 is connected to a piston pump 4 via a check valve 3. The piston pump 4 includes a pump handle 6 provided with a gauge 5 having a predetermined unit scale. When the pump handle 6 is pulled up with the gauge 5 set at the designated scale, the piston pump 4 is filled with the designated amount of the pigment liquid. Next, when the pump handle 6 is depressed, the check valve 3 operates so that the specified amount of the pigment liquid is discharged from the nozzle 7 for mixing with the base paint. In this measuring device, a large pump (gauge scale 5 mL,
10 to 150 mL can be measured) and a small pump (a gauge scale of 0.2 mL and 0.2 to 8 mL can be measured) are provided as a set. Further, the tank 1 is composed of a pair containing a pigment liquid for coarse toning and a pigment liquid for fine toning for each color to be used. Example 3-2: Formulation of base paint The formula of the base paint used for toning in Example 3 is as follows. The defoamer, dispersant and wetting agent were selected from surfactants and used. Synthetic resin emulsion (solid content 50%) 60% by weight Titanium oxide 25% by weight Thickener 0.5% by weight Film-forming aid 5% by weight Preservative 0.1% by weight Defoamer / dispersant / wetting 0.5% by weight of water and 8.9% by weight of water (Example 3-3: Toning of base paint) For 16 kg of the base paint having the above composition, a standard paint color issued by the Japan Paint Manufacturers Association. In order to perform the toning with the color of N-80 in the sample book, the above-mentioned black, yellow and rust-colored rough toning pigment liquid is applied to the base paint by a predetermined toning facility provided with the above-mentioned measuring device. And the pigment liquid for fine toning were weighed, mixed and stirred in the following amounts. In addition, since the pigment stock solution of each color required for toning was specified by weight, when converting it into the necessary measurement value of the coarse toning pigment solution and the fine toning pigment solution for each color, these The change in specific gravity was considered.
