ルマンドレルに関し、パイプ曲げの際にパイプ材に挿入
されて適正なパイプ曲げを行うために使用されるもので
ある。

【従来の技術】従来におけるこの種のパイプ曲げ装置用
ボールマンドレルMは、図3に示すように、マンドレル
本体10の先端面に円盤部材20が揺動可能に連結さ
れ、この円盤部材20がパイプ曲げの際にパイプ材と共
に曲げ型に巻きついていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、かかる
従来のパイプ曲げ装置用ボールマンドレルにあっては、
図4に示すように、パイプ材Pが曲げ加工される際にそ
の内側面に生ずる増肉部30が、マンドレルMの円盤部
材20の端縁を押し上げるためパイプ材Pが不適正に変
形しやすいという不都合を有した。特に、かかる不都合
は、極小曲げ加工又は薄肉パイプ材の曲げ加工において
顕著であった。更に、前記増肉部30が前記円盤部材
(マンドレルMの)20の端縁を押し上げるため前記円
盤部材20とマンドレル本体10との連結部40に負担
がかかり、この結果、当該連結部40が破損しやすいと
いう不都合をも有した。
【0004】この発明の課題はかかる不都合を解消する
ことである。

【課題を解決するための手段】前記課題を達成するため
に、この発明に係るパイプ曲げ装置用ボールマンドレル
においては、マンドレル本体の先端面に円盤部材が揺動
可能に連結されているパイプ曲げ装置用ボールマンドレ
ルにおいて、前記円盤部材の側面における前記マンドレ
ル本体側の周縁に環状凹部を形成したため、パイプ材が
曲げ加工される際にその内側面に生ずる増肉部は、マン
ドレルの円盤部材の環状凹部に収容される結果当該円盤
部材を押し上げることはないものである。

【発明の実施の態様】図1において、Mはパイプ曲げ装
置用ボールマンドレルであり、パイプ曲げの際にパイプ
材に挿入されるものである。このボールマンドレルM
は、マンドレル本体10の先端面に第一円盤部材50が
ボールジョイント(この発明の「連結部」)40を介し
て連結され、且つ、この第一円盤部材50の前面に第二
円盤部材60がボールジョイント(この発明の「連結
部」)41を介して連結されたものである。このため、
このボールマンドレルMはパイプ曲げの際に後記パイプ
材Pとともに曲げ型(図示せず)に沿って巻きつくこと
ができる。

50の側面における前記マンドレル本体10側の周縁に
形成されている。このため図2に示すように、パイプ材
Pが曲げ加工される際にその内側面に増肉部30が発生

材50を押し上げることはないものである。

【発明の効果】この発明に係るパイプ曲げ装置用ボール
マンドレルは、マンドレル本体の先端面に円盤部材が揺
動可能に連結されているパイプ曲げ装置用ボールマンド
レルにおいて、前記円盤部材の側面における前記マンド
レル本体側周縁に環状凹部を形成したため、パイプ材が
曲げ加工される際にその内側面に生ずる増肉部は、マン
ドレルの円盤部材の環状凹部に収容される結果当該円盤
部材を押し上げることはないものである。

ドレルを使用すれば、パイプ曲げの最中にパイプ材が適
正に変形しやすく、特に、極小曲げ加工又は薄肉パイプ
材を適正に曲げ加工においてこの効果は顕著に表れるも

の)の端縁を押し上げることはないため、前記円盤部と
マンドレル本体との連結部には従来のように負担がかか
