し、この内部軸受箱をポンプケーシング側より外部軸受
箱に挿通支持させたものである。 【0005】 【発明の実施の形態】この発明は上記のように構成して
あり、内部軸受箱を回転自在に嵌着した主軸を船尾側か
らポンプケーシングに挿入し、吸込ケーシングに連結し
た外部軸受箱に内部軸受箱を挿通支持させ、船尾側から
羽根車を主軸に嵌挿し吐出しケーシングを取り付けれ
ば、ウォータージェット推進機を組立てることができ
る。そして、軸受部の点検や軸受等の交換時には、船尾
側から主軸を引き抜けば、外部軸受箱から内部軸受箱を
取り出すことができる。これにより、長尺の中間軸を設
けたり、駆動機を動かすことなく軸受等の点検修理を行

る。符号7は、船底部に吸込口8を設けた吸込ケーシン
グであって、吸込ケーシング7に連設したポンプケーシ
ング1に吸込口8から吸引した水を移送するようにして
ある。符号9は、ポンプケーシング1の後段に設けた吐
出しケーシングであって羽根車2で加圧した水を吐出し
ケーシング9の縮少開口した吐出口10から船尾後方に
噴射させるようにしてある。符号11は吐出しケーシン
グ9と一体的に設けた案内羽根であって、羽根車2の回
転により加圧されて旋回している水流を直線流に変換す
るようにしてある。案内羽根11の内周面に設けた軸受
ケース12で主軸3の船尾側先端部を支架するようにし
てある。 【0007】符号13は円筒状に構成した外部軸受箱で
あって、図2に示すように外部軸受箱13のフランジ部
13aが吸込ケーシング7の主軸3の軸受部7aに水平
状に連結されている。この外部軸受箱13の駆動機4側
に蓋体13bが設けてあり、蓋体13bの中心部に主軸
3の挿通用の開孔が設けてある。符号14は主軸3を嵌
入した円筒状の内部軸受箱であって、内部軸受箱14の
円周部に軸受15が挿入されており、この軸受15で主
軸3を回転自在に支架するようにしてある。内部軸受箱
14の両端部にはオイルシール16が設けてあり、内部
軸受箱14の軸受15に供給した潤滑油をシールするよ
うにしてある。符号17は吸込ケーシング7側の主軸3
と内部軸受箱14の間に設けたメカニカルシールであ
る。 【0008】主軸3に嵌入した内部軸受箱14は外部軸
受箱13に挿入され、図2及び図3に示すように外部軸
受箱13の蓋体13bと内部軸受箱14の側面とが固定
ボルト18で螺着してあり、羽根車2の回転時の内部軸
受箱14の回り止め防止と、船艇の停止時等で発生する
逆スラストによる内部軸受箱14の船尾側への滑り防止
ができるものである。符号19は外部軸受箱13の蓋体
13bに設けたネジ穴であって、外部軸受箱13から、
主軸3に嵌入した内部軸受箱14の抜き出しが困難な時
に、このネジ穴19に長尺のボルトを螺入し、内部軸受
箱の側面を押圧すれば内部軸受箱14を船尾側へ押し戻
すことができるようになっている。なお、符号13c、
14aは給油口、符号13d、14bは排油口であっ
て、外部軸受箱13と内部軸受箱14にそれぞれ連通す
るように設けてある。符号13eは外部軸受箱13に設
けたれ冷却水供給口である。 【0009】上記のように構成した内部軸受箱14等の
点検修理が必要となった時のウォータージェット推進機
の分解方法を図4(a)、図4(b)に基づき詳述する
と、先ず、吐出しケーシング9をポンプケーシング1か
ら取り外し、主軸3と駆動機4の出力軸5とを連結した
カップリング6を解離させた後、外部軸受箱13と内部
軸受箱14を螺着した固定ボルト18を取り外し、主軸

合すれば内部軸受箱14を船尾側へ押し戻すことがで
き、駆動機4側のカップリング6を取り外せば、主軸3

てる時には、主軸3に嵌入した内部軸受箱14を外部軸
受箱13に挿入し、吐出しケーシング9をポンプケーシ
ング1に取付けて、案内羽根11の軸受ケース12で船

ト推進機の組立が簡単に行なえるものである。なお、符

み込んだ軸受箱をエンジン側から装着していたものであ
るが、この発明においては、軸受とシール部材を組込ん
だ内部軸受箱を羽根車の主軸に嵌入し、この内部軸受箱
を吸込ケーシングの軸受部に設けた外部軸受箱に船尾側
から挿通支持させてあるので、吐出しケーシングをポン
プケーシングから取り外せば、従来装置のように、主軸
を引き抜くためのスペースが必要がなく、長い中間軸を
設けたり、駆動機を取外したりする必要もないものであ
る。
