Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a golf club provided with a length adjusting mechanism for making the length of a shaft variable. [0002] The length of the shaft, the situation during play,
Golf clubs equipped with a length adjustment mechanism that can be changed arbitrarily according to the height of the user,
Various things have been considered. [0003] However, the folding length adjustment mechanism has a slight adverse effect on the direction and the flight distance of the hit ball if there is a small amount of assembled play or the mounting state is not appropriate. "I will kill the cows". SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Accordingly, the object of the present invention is to improve the structure, mounting location, mounting method, and the like of the shaft length adjusting mechanism so that the direction of the hit ball and the flight distance are sensitive. It is an object of the present invention to provide a golf club with a length adjusting mechanism configured so as not to adversely affect the golf club. In order to achieve the above object, a golf club according to the present invention comprises a substantially cylindrical body having a predetermined length as a whole for varying the length of a shaft. A length adjusting mechanism A is inserted into the inner space of the grip 1 in a fixed state, and a main body having an upper portion fixed to a protruding end of a pipe 2 whose lower end protrudes below the grip 1. 1
1, a fastening ring 12 screwed to the lower end of the main body 11, and a length adjustment mechanism A and a shaft 4 having its upper end side loosely fitted in the pipe 2, and are fitted in a loosely fitted state. The outer peripheral surface is provided with a wedge-shaped member 13 formed in a chevron-shaped conical surface in the axial direction, and when the fastening ring 12 is screwed, the chevron-shaped conical surface of the wedge-shaped member 13 becomes the main body 11 and the fastening ring. 12 is formed on the inner peripheral surface of each of the twelve conical surfaces a and b, and the entire inner peripheral surface of the wedge-shaped member 13 is pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 4. The wedge-shaped member 13 is provided with a plurality of upper cuts 13b from the upper end side and a plurality of lower cuts 13c from the lower end side in a staggered arrangement in the circumferential direction. DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of a golf club according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. 1 and 2
As shown in FIG. 1, a pipe 2 having a predetermined length is fitted in the inner space of the grip 1 of the golf club 100 of this embodiment in a fixed state, and the lower end thereof protrudes below the grip 1. . Connected to the projecting end of the pipe 2 is a length adjusting mechanism A having a predetermined length and a substantially cylindrical shape so as to make the overall length of the golf club 100 variable. And the upper end side of the shaft 4 with the head 3 attached to the lower end is
The length adjusting mechanism A and the inner space of the pipe 2 are slidably inserted. A dimensional scale 5 is provided on the upper outer peripheral surface of the shaft 4 so as to know how much the golf club 100 has been expanded or contracted from its reference length. Next, the specific structure of the length adjusting mechanism A is as follows:
This will be described in sequence with reference to FIG. 3 as an exploded perspective view. A length adjusting mechanism A made of a tough synthetic resin such as acetal copolymer includes a main body portion 11 connected to the lower end portion of the pipe 2 and a fastening ring 12 screwed to the lower end of the main body portion 11.
And a wedge-shaped member 13 having a shape that allows the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 4 to be brought into pressure contact with the inner peripheral surfaces of the main body 11 and the fastening ring 2 while being loosely fitted to the shaft 4. First, the main body 11 has an upper portion as a connecting portion 11a that is externally fitted to the pipe 2 in a fixed state. The inner peripheral surface on the lower half side of the main body 11 is a first conical surface a that expands downward. A male screw 11 b is provided at the lower part of the outer peripheral surface of the main body 11. Furthermore, male screw 11
An annular groove 11c is provided on the outer peripheral surface immediately above b. Next, a female screw 12 to be screwed into a male screw 11b of the main body 11 is fitted to the upper half of the inner peripheral surface of the fastening ring 12.
a is provided. In addition, a second conical surface b whose diameter decreases downward is provided in the lower half of the inner peripheral surface. Furthermore, the female screw 12
An annular groove 12b is also provided between a and the conical surface b. Next, the substantially cylindrical wedge-shaped member 13 has an outer peripheral surface formed into a chevron-shaped conical surface whose diameter is gradually expanded from both axial ends toward the middle. As shown in FIG. 3, the angle cone surface is formed by the main body portion 11.
The upper conical surface c pressed against the first conical surface a and the lower conical surface d pressed against the second conical surface b of the fastening ring 12 are combined. An annular groove 13a is also provided between the upper and lower conical surfaces c and d. Further, the wedge-shaped member 13 has an upper cut 13b from its upper end side and a lower cut 13c from its lower end side.
Are provided in a staggered arrangement in the circumferential direction. Each cut line 13b, 13c extends to the vicinity of the other end of the wedge-shaped member 13. Next, the operation of the above configuration will be described. When the golf club 100 is in use, the fastening ring 12 of the length adjusting mechanism A is firmly screwed into the main body 11 as shown in FIG. In this state, the entire surface of the upper conical surface c of the wedge-shaped member 13 is in pressure contact with the conical surface a of the main body 11 (see FIG. 3). In addition, the entire surface of the lower conical surface d is the fastening ring 12.
Is pressed against the conical surface b (see FIG. 3). When the wedge-shaped member 13 provided with the cuts 13b and 13c on both the upper and lower sides and the annular groove 13a is pressed against the entire inner peripheral surface of the main body 11 and the fastening ring 12 in this way, this pressing force However, the wedge-shaped member 13 having both rigidity and moderate flexibility is tightened to reduce the diameter of the member. As a result, a wedge-shaped member 1 having a predetermined length.
The entire inner peripheral surface of 3 is also in a state where the entire surface is firmly pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 4. The main body 11 and the fastening ring 12 are firmly fixed to the grip 1 via the pipe 2. Therefore, the length adjusting mechanism A has no room for structural backlash when the fastening ring 12 is completely fastened to the main body 11. Therefore, many of the conventional golf clubs with a length adjustment mechanism have a looseness in the direction and flight distance of the hit ball due to the backlash in the structure of the length adjustment mechanism. It is possible to almost certainly eliminate the serious inconvenience that the mechanism has had the adverse effect of killing the cow by leaning the horn. When it is desired to adjust the length of the golf club 100, the tightening ring 12 is once loosened, the shaft 4 is appropriately slid up and down, and the tightening ring 12 is tightened again. As is apparent from the above description, the golf club according to the present invention has excellent practical effects as listed below. (A) When you want to change the length of the shaft, it is easy to select another club with a different length and replace it.
The length can be changed quickly and freely. (B) However, the wedge-shaped member of the length adjusting mechanism is a serious disadvantage of the conventional variable-length golf club due to the provision of an unusually shaped conical surface and an unusually arranged cut. The backlash of the shaft resulting from the intervention of the length adjusting mechanism can be almost completely eliminated. (C) Since the shaft portion does not require any processing such as threading, it is extremely preferable from the viewpoint of reducing manufacturing costs.
