て、回転充填機の充填口が適正かつ確実に殺菌できる殺
菌装置を提供することにある。 【0007】 【課題を解決するための手段】上記目的を達成するため
に、本発明に係る殺菌装置は、熱処理等により殺菌され
る容器に対して回転充填機の充填口から内容物が充填さ
れ、この内容物が充填される容器に対してキャップシー
マーによりキャップが装着され、このキャップが装着さ
れる容器が搬送される生産ラインに配置される殺菌装置
であって、容器20内に所望の内容物30を充填させる
ための複数の充填口50を有し且つ回転して容器20を
連れ回しながら略1回転でその容器20に所定量の内容
物30を充填させた後、次に供給される容器がセットさ
れるまでの間の充填口50に対して、赤外線領域又は紫
外線領域に属する波長の光を照射させて光による非接触
殺菌を行う光照射手段1,7,9を有し、この光照射手
段1,7,9は、光を発生させる発生器7,9と、発生
器と光伝送手段により接続されると共に充填口50に対
向され且つ光を充填口に向けて発射させる光照射部1と
を有し、内容物の充填時においても光を照射させるた
め、光照射部1を回転充填機40の回転軌跡上における
容器20が搬送される空き領域70に設けたことを特徴
としている。 【0008】本発明に係る殺菌装置では、飲料等の内容
物が充填される生産ラインに配置される回転充填機に設
けられた充填口に対して、光照射手段から赤外線領域ま
たは紫外線領域に属する波長の光が照射される。 【0009】 【発明の実施の形態】以下、本発明に係る殺菌装置の好
適な実施例を、図面に基づいて説明する。 【0010】図1には、ペットボトル(容器)20に飲
