The above-mentioned conventional press-connecting connector is effective for connecting a flat cable having a small wire pitch, but this wire holding mechanism has a large capacity power wire having a large wire pitch and When the number of connected electric wires increases, the electric wires are bent by the male and female of the inclined surface,
There is a problem that a large force is required and the maintainability after pressure welding is poor. Further, when an external force is applied to the electric wire, stress concentrates on the electric wire portions arranged at both ends of the press-connecting connector, which may cause a fatal problem that the connection of the electric wires at both end portions is adversely affected. The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an electric wire holding mechanism for a pressure contact connector which is not affected by external force and has excellent maintainability.

As shown in FIG. 10, also in the wire holding mechanism of the pressure contact connector 1A having the above-described structure, the method of mounting the wire 9 is substantially the same as that of the first embodiment, and the terminal mounting hole 12 provided in the connector housing 3 is provided. The pressure contact terminal 2 is attached inside, and the electric wire 9 is pressure connected to the pressure contact terminal 2. At this time, only the two electric wires connected to both lateral ends of the connector housing 3 are passed over the electric wire holding portion 4A provided in the housing main body 6A, and then the housing main body 6A is housed in the housing main body cover 7.

Since the electric wires 9 placed on the electric wire holding portion 4A are respectively supported by the barrier portions 13A standing on both sides of the electric wire holding portion 4A, the electric wires 9 do not deviate from the electric wire holding portion 4A. It is housed in the housing body cover 7. Then, when the lid portion 8A is attached to the housing body cover 7 by the pin-shaped member 20 and then the lid portion 8A is rotated in the closing direction, only the electric wires 9 at both ends placed on the electric wire holding portion 4A are moved. The wire is pressed and fixed by the wire pressing portion 10A. As a result, the pressure-fixed electric wires 9 at both ends have a crank shape, which means that the electric wires 9 are arranged shorter than the electric wires arranged inside, and even if an external force acts in the pulling direction, the electric wires External force acts only on the two electric wires 9. As a result, the external force can be absorbed by the two crank-shaped electric wires, the external force does not act on the other electric wires arranged inside, and the held state can be reliably maintained.

FIG. 11 shows a lid portion 8 showing a third embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 6B is a perspective view of the housing main body cover 7 on the back side of the lid portions 8 and 8A attached to the housing main body cover 7.
The protrusions 21 and 22 for press-fitting the press-connecting terminal 2 are formed at positions facing the mounting position of the press-connecting terminal 2 provided in A. The pressure contact projection 21 is for pressing the pressure contact terminal 2 provided on the upper stage of the connector housing 3, and the other pressure contact projection 22 is for pressing the pressure contact terminal 2 provided on the lower stage. The upper end surface is formed with a substantially semicircular concave surface, and the concave surface is configured to press-fit the press contact terminal 2 from above. By using the lid portion 8B as described above, the press-fitting work at the time of press-fitting, which is performed in the first and second embodiments, becomes easy, and press-fitting to the press-connecting terminal 2 and prevention of the electric wire from coming out are collectively performed. Since the pressure contact terminal 2 is always pressed after the lid is closed, it is possible to prevent the pressure contact portion from being loosened by an external force.

FIG. 12 shows the housing body cover 7 of the lid portion 8.
It is a modification of the locking mechanism to. In each of the locking mechanisms described above, as shown in FIG. 11, the locking hole 23 is provided on the lid portion 8 side, and the pin-shaped member 20 is inserted into the housing body cover 7 and the locking hole 23. However, in the present embodiment, the semicircular locking claw 24 is projectingly provided at the locking position of the lid portion 8, and the housing main body cover 7 has a step cutout for accommodating the height direction of the locking claw 24. If a portion is provided and a support shaft is provided at the center of the step cutout portion, the lid portion 8 can be easily attached to the housing body cover 7.

As described above in detail, in the wire holding mechanism of the pressure contact connector according to the present invention, the housing body for mounting the pressure contact terminal is provided with the wire holding portion for holding the wire, and the housing for housing the housing body. An electric wire pressing portion that presses the electric wire from above by closing the lid portion on the cover portion of the main body cover, and the electric wire holding portion and the electric wire pressing portion cooperate to hold the electric wire in a crank shape. Thus, regardless of whether the cable is a flat cable or a power line, it is possible to reliably hold the connection of the electric wire with a small force, and it is possible to realize a pressure contact connector having excellent maintainability without being affected by external force.
