2. Description of the Related Art Construction machines such as motor graders, scrapers, bulldozers, and wheel loaders excavate a road surface by running while pressing a cutting edge attached to the tip of a blade against the road surface. As shown in FIG. 3, such a cutting edge is provided with a bolt 14 on a support plate 13 provided at the tip of the blade 12.
4 and detachably attached with a nut 15.
As shown in the figure, the tip is sharply formed. The cutting edge 11 is made of a material having a hardness of about HB500, such as a structural alloy steel such as chromium-molybdenum steel (for example, SCM435).

The construction machine as described above can travel at a speed of about 20 to 30 km / h. For example, while traveling at the above-mentioned speed, the snow accumulated on the road surface at the cutting edge 11 is dissected. Then, high-speed snow removal can be performed. However, if the cutting edge 11 collides with a hard obstacle or the like while performing such high-speed snow removal, a large impact force is applied to the cutting edge 11, and the cutting edge 11 is cracked or chipped. And so on. For this reason, the cutting edge 11 is required for every collision with an obstacle or the like.
Inspection and replacement work must be performed, which is one of the factors that reduce the work efficiency of high-speed snow removal.

As shown in FIG. 1, a plurality of bolt holes 1b are formed along the width direction at the base end side of the main body 1a bent in an arc shape. A step 1c is formed along the width direction near the front end of the main body 1a. As shown in FIG. 2, a blade portion 1d having a sharp tip is attached to the step portion 1c, and the blade portion 1d is attached so that its surface is continuous with the surface of the main body portion 1a. When such a cutting edge 1 is bolted to a blade of a construction machine such as a motor grader, a scraper, a bulldozer, a wheel loader, etc., and used for high-speed snow removal as described above, the blade 1d and obstacles are removed. Even if a collision occurs, the main body 1a buffers the impact force applied to the blade 1d, and the blade 1d is divided into a plurality of pieces in the width direction, so that the blade 1d does not crack or chip. Snow removal work can be performed.

[0013] In addition, during snow removal work, the cutting edge travels at a speed of about 20 to 30 km / h while applying a pressing force of about 2000 kg per 1 m in the width direction. 50
mm or more and became dull, and had to be replaced once every 1 to 2 days. However, in the cutting edge 1 of this embodiment, the blade portion 1d has the high wear resistance as described above. The use of a material having the same makes it difficult for the tip side of the blade portion 1d to become dull even when used under the above-mentioned conditions, the life is extended by about 10 to 100 times as compared with the conventional cutting edge, and the frequency of replacement is greatly increased. Can be reduced to For this reason, the burden on the worker involved in the replacement work can be significantly reduced.

If the standard values such as the outer size of the cutting edge 1 and the position of the bolt hole 1b are the same as those of the conventional cutting edge, the cutting edge can be compatible with the conventional cutting edge. It can be used immediately attached to the blade being used.
