2. Description of the Related Art A polarizing plate coated on both sides with a protective layer of a cellulose film, for example, a cellulose triacetate film, on a polarizing film, for example, a polyvinyl alcohol film having a polarizing property, is used as a liquid crystal. When applied to the cell surface, it is usual to use a polarizing plate provided with an adhesive layer on the surface of the protective layer. It is not known that the polarizing plate has two pressure-sensitive adhesive layers.

The above-mentioned pressure-sensitive adhesives include:
Acrylic resin is widely used because of its excellent adhesiveness and transparency, but when exposed to high temperature or high temperature and high humidity conditions, warpage may occur on the glass plate with the polarizing plate attached, When two plates are used (especially at right angles), problems such as light leakage occur. Such problems can be reduced by lowering the holding power of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, but problems such as foaming and peeling of the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer occur.

That is, the present invention provides (1) a polarizing plate having a polarizing film layer, a protective layer and an adhesive layer in this order, the adhesive layer is divided into two layers, and the gel fraction of the adhesive on the protective layer side is the other side. A polarizing plate, which is smaller than the gel fraction of the pressure-sensitive adhesive,
(2) The polarizing plate of (1), wherein both the adhesive on the protective layer side and the adhesive on the other side are acrylic resin-based adhesives, and (3) the gel fraction of the adhesive on the protective layer side is 70% by weight. Or less, and the gel fraction of the adhesive on the other side is 60% by weight or more (1)
Or the polarizing plate of (2).

The gel fraction of the pressure-sensitive adhesive used in the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer can be adjusted, for example, by controlling the amount of the crosslinking agent. The amount of the crosslinking agent varies depending on the type of the polar monomer component of the acrylic resin, the copolymerization ratio, the type of the crosslinking agent, the production conditions, and the like. Specifically, an acrylic resin having a weight-average molecular weight of 1.5 million (n-butyl acrylate / acrylic acid / 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate = 94.5% by weight / 5% by weight / 0.5% by weight) was prepared by adding In the case of crosslinking with a trimethylolpropane adduct of diisocyanate (1 mol of the latter added to 3 mol of the former), 0.2 to 10 parts by weight of a crosslinking agent per 100 parts by weight of the acrylic resin may cause gelation. An adhesive having a ratio of more than 70% by weight is obtained. When the amount of the crosslinking agent is less than the above amount, an adhesive having a gel fraction of 70% by weight or less can be obtained. In addition, an acrylic resin having a weight average molecular weight of 1.5 million (n-

The test piece was placed on a glass stand and left for 500 hours in a thermostat at 90 ° C. or a thermostat at 60 ° C. and 90% RH, and the following evaluation was performed. Peeling state: Changes in appearance due to peeling were visually observed. Foaming state: Changes in appearance due to peeling were visually observed. Glass warpage: Changes in the appearance of the glass were visually observed. Light Leakage: The test piece was placed in a crossed Nicols state, the transmittance at the measurement positions (A, B) shown in FIG. 1 was measured, and evaluated by the lightness index ratio.
