Increasingly, the proportion of aluminum alloy wheels mounted is increasing. In the case of aluminum wheels, it is common to apply a coating film on the surface in order to improve the weather resistance, corrosion resistance, and the like.

Furthermore, the color change by alumite treatment is very difficult because of the immersion,
In addition, the use of the dye has a problem that the weather resistance is inferior and the thickness of the film is thin, so that the corrosion resistance of the flaw is poor. Thus, there is a demand for an automotive wheel having a coating that is more excellent in design than ever before, has a luxurious appearance, and exhibits good weather resistance and corrosion resistance.

The inventors have found that a coating film satisfying the above-mentioned requirements can be formed by forming a base coat layer on a color clear coating material to which a pigment has been added while forming the base coat layer on the coating material, thereby completing the present invention.

(A) a primer layer composed of an epoxy clear paint formed on the surface of an aluminum member and containing less than 5% by weight of an extender pigment based on the entire paint; and (b) an epoxy-based paint formed on the primer layer. The chromate treatment can be performed using an aqueous solution containing chromic acid, an inorganic acid such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, and phosphoric acid, and a suitable additive. The method of chromate treatment can be roughly classified into two types. That is, the first method is a phosphoric acid chromate treatment method using phosphoric acid as the inorganic acid, and the second method is a chromium chromate treatment method using an acid other than phosphoric acid. Either method can be performed by immersing the aluminum member in a chromate treatment liquid or spraying the treatment liquid. The chemical conversion film obtained by the chromate treatment has an adhesion amount of 3 mg / m 2 or more, preferably 5 to 10 mg / m 2 .

The extender is less than 5% by weight based on the entire coating of the primer layer. If the amount of the extender pigment that is a fine powder is large, the metallic luster of the aluminum base, which is the gist of the present application, is hidden by the pigment,
The design is poor. When corrosion resistance is further required, it is preferable to add a rust preventive pigment. The baking temperature of the primer layer is about 130 to 150 ° C. Note that the thickness of the primer layer is preferably about 5 to 20 μm.

It is desirable to use an inorganic pigment as the coloring pigment in consideration of weather resistance. However, an organic pigment can be used depending on the color tone, and the hue can be freely changed by selecting the pigment. Also, a metallic pigment made of aluminum fine powder or a pearl pigment made of mica can be added (the amount of the pigment added is about 1% by weight). When the concentration of the pigment is low, it is difficult to improve the design. Also, if the concentration is high, the metallic luster of the aluminum base is hidden by the pigment,
The design is poor. Note that the thickness of the base coat layer is preferably about 10 to 30 μm. Also,
The baking temperature of the base coat layer is about 120 to 160C.

The thickness of the top coat layer is preferably about 30 to 50 μm. The baking temperature is about 120 to 160 ° C.

In particular, it is possible to make use of the appearance of the aluminum background by using a clear coating layer with the extender pigment reduced as much as possible for the primer layer, and to make the appearance very favorable as a coating method for the design surface of automobile wheels Is possible. Moreover, the obtained coating film is 45 to 100 μm in total.
It has a thickness of the order. When the thickness of the coating film is less than 45 μm, light and corrosion-resistant substances are transmitted, and thus sufficient corrosion resistance and weather resistance cannot be obtained. On the other hand, the coating thickness is 100μ
If it exceeds m, the adhesion will be poor, and no accompanying improvement will be obtained.

Further, no discoloration was observed in the weather resistance test. In addition, when the alumite treatment is performed on the cut surface by the conventional technology and dyed, and the clear coating is applied, significant rust of 4 mm or more is generated in the cross cut part in the salt spray test, and significant discoloration in the weather resistance is recognized.
