(57)【特許請求の範囲】(57) [Claims] 【請求項1】 自動挿入装置のハンド部で保持した円筒
状のバルブリフタを,該バルブリフタの直径と狭クリア
ランスな関係精度に形成され,その側部にカムシャフト
を支持する軸受けの縦壁が形成されたリフタ挿入穴に挿
入するバルブリフタの挿入装置において,上記ハンド部が,上記バルブリフタを真空吸着により吸
着する吸着手段と,該バルブリフタを上記真空吸着によ
る吸着面に沿って摺動自在に保持する摺動保持手段を具
備して構成され, 上記バルブリフタを上記摺動保持手段により吸着した状
態で上記ハンド部を移動させて上記バルブリフタを上記
縦壁に押し当て,上記バルブリフタを上記ハンド部の吸
着面に沿って摺動させることによって上記バルブリフタ
を上記縦壁に位置決めする位置決め手段と, 上記バルブリフタを上記縦壁をガイドとして上記リフタ
挿入穴にその先端を挿入する挿入手段と, 上記ハンド部から排気して吸着されていたバルブリフタ
をリフタ挿入穴内へ押し込む押し込み手段とを具備して
