Abstract

[Problem] To provide a security and decorative member that can be used as a display shelf in addition to its security function. Description

This invention relates to security and decorative components for windows in houses for ventilation and for people entering and exiting, and for door openings for balconies, verandas, etc.

A known tactic used by burglars is to break a part of a door (sliding door) installed on a window, balcony, veranda, or other opening in a house to open the crescent lock. To prevent this, it is possible to provide a lattice on the outside of the window, provide a lock with a higher crime prevention effect than a crescent, or provide multiple locking mechanisms. However, providing a lattice, a lock with a higher crime prevention effect, or multiple locking mechanisms on a sliding window increases the cost of the sliding window. In addition, it is not easy to modify an existing sliding window with a crescent to provide a lattice, a lock with a higher crime prevention effect, or multiple locking mechanisms. There is a need for a crime prevention and decorative component that can take advantage of the environment in which an existing sliding window with a crescent is installed, discourage burglars from breaking in, and prevent the sliding window from being destroyed in the first place.

As an example of such a security and decorative member, a security cover for a sliding door lock is known, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2005-16280.
This anti-theft cover for a sliding door lock is characterized by comprising a mounting plate that can be attached to the vertical frame of an indoor sliding door, and a cover plate provided at one widthwise end of the mounting plate to hide the sliding door lock attached to the outer side of the vertical frame so that it cannot be seen from the outside.
According to the publication, with this cover, by attaching a mounting plate to the vertical frame of the outdoor sliding door, the sliding door lock is hidden from view from the outside by a cover plate provided on one end of the mounting plate in the width direction, and the sliding door lock cannot be unlocked unless the glass of the outdoor sliding door is broken over an area wider than the cover plate. Therefore, compared to when the security cover is not attached, the area of glass that needs to be broken to unlock the sliding door lock is expanded, and it becomes more likely that outsiders such as thieves will give up on breaking the part of the glass of the outdoor sliding door that corresponds to the lock and retreat.

However, the sliding door lock burglary prevention cover described in the above publication only slightly expands the area of glass that needs to be broken to unlock the sliding door lock, and is therefore considered to be of little effect. Furthermore, conventional burglary prevention equipment of this type, including the sliding door lock burglary prevention cover, is limited to the purpose of burglary prevention and has no potential for development.
Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a security and decorative member that can be used as a display shelf for figures, etc., in addition to its original security function.

The above problems can be solved by the security and decorative components having the following configurations (1) to (8).

As described above, the security and decorative component of the present invention comprises a security and decorative component frame body that is fitted into the inside of the surrounding frame of a window or the like, and within this security and decorative component frame body, a number of security and decorative horizontal plates extending between a pair of side members of the surrounding frame, and security and decorative vertical plates extending between the upper or lower edge member and one of the security and decorative horizontal plates, or between two of the security and decorative horizontal plates, are appropriately arranged, making it impossible for someone to enter the room by simply breaking the glass of a window, etc., and thus fulfilling the role of a security and decorative component.
On the other hand, a plurality of ornamental display spaces for displaying ornaments are formed by the pair of side members, the upper edge member, the lower edge member, the plurality of anti-theft and decorative horizontal plates, and the anti-theft and decorative vertical plates. By displaying ornaments such as figures in the plurality of ornamental display spaces, and by attaching a decorative panel using the mounting means, the ornamental display space can be covered on the indoor side, and the coloring, pattern, design, photographs, etc. applied to the decorative panel can perform a decorative function that can be viewed from the indoor side.
Furthermore, the security and decorative member of the present invention is also useful for preventing children from falling out of an open window.
Furthermore, by adjusting the color, etc. of the decorative panel, it can function as a screen, a light shield, and a heat insulator.

The following describes the security and decoration member for a door according to the first embodiment of the present invention with reference to the attached drawings. In the following description, the outdoor side may be referred to as the "front" and the indoor side as the "back".
This security and decorative member 10 is attached to the inside of a peripheral frame F that forms an opening that connects the inside and outside. This security and decorative member 10 is also attached to the vertical frame on the inside side (inner side) of a sliding door W (see FIG. 6) consisting of two doors, an indoor door W1 and an outdoor door W2, that are attached to the peripheral frame F. The reference characters G1 and G2 respectively denote the glass panels of the indoor door W1 and the outdoor door W2.
The sliding door may be any of a sliding door, a double sliding door, a sliding window, a double sliding window, etc. One of the two doors may be a fixed door. Specifically, the sliding door may be a window sash, a veranda sash, etc. The sliding door may be either one in which the indoor door is located on the right side or the left side of the outdoor door when viewed from the indoor side when the doors are closed. In other words, the door lock may be either one installed on the left side or the right side when viewed from the indoor door. In this specification, unless otherwise specified, the type in which the indoor door W1 is installed on the right side will be described.

The security and decorative member 10 comprises a security and decorative member frame body 12 (hereinafter sometimes simply referred to as the "frame body") that is placed within the peripheral frame F, and this frame body may be of a size and shape such that it occupies the entire internal space surrounded by the peripheral frame F, or of a size and shape such that it occupies only a part of it. The size and shape are selected depending on the purpose of installing the security and decorative member.
The frame body 12 is composed, for example, of a pair of vertical side frame members 14 (one side) and 16 (the other side) arranged at a distance so as to overlap at least a portion, and preferably most of, the exterior door W2 when viewed in the width direction, a lower horizontal frame member 18 having both sides attached near the lower ends of the pair of vertical side frame members, and an upper horizontal frame member 20 having both sides attached to the upper portion of the above.

The lower horizontal member 18 of the frame 12 is provided with a fastening means 24 for fastening the security and decorative member 10 at a predetermined position. The fastening means 24 is preferably of the screw type.
The upper horizontal frame member, lower horizontal frame member and a pair of vertical side frame members of the frame body are made of wood or metal (for example, an aluminum alloy used in sashes) and are each formed from a plate-like member.

Inside the frame body 12, there are provided a number of security and decorative horizontal plates 21 extending between the pair of side members 14, 16, and security and decorative vertical plates 23 extending between the upper or lower edge member and one of the security and decorative horizontal plates, or between two of the security and decorative horizontal plates.
The pair of side members 14, 16, the upper edge member 20, the lower edge member 18, the multiple security and decorative horizontal boards 21 and the security and decorative vertical boards 23 form multiple ornament display spaces Sp for displaying ornaments f.
The pair of side members 14, 16, the upper edge member 20, the lower edge member 18, the multiple security and decorative horizontal boards 21 and the security and decorative vertical boards 23 are provided with rails 91, which are mounting means that enable a decorative panel 90 (see Figure 9) that covers the ornament display space Sp on the indoor side to be mounted.
As the mounting means, FIG. 9(a) shows a rail 91 that allows the decorative panel 90 to be inserted from the side, but it may also be a type in which the decorative panel 90 is inserted from above, as shown in FIG. 9(b) (the rail itself is not shown).

As shown in Figure 1, the security and decorative component 10 can also be used to install display shelves 71a, 71b, etc. inside the frame 12. The lower horizontal frame member 18 that constitutes the frame 12 can itself be used as a display shelf. These display shelves 71a, 71b are designed to display figures f, etc. inside, and the indoor or outdoor side is made of a transparent panel that can be opened or closed so that the displayed figures f, etc. can be viewed from inside or outside. Decorations such as figures f are also psychologically useful for security purposes.

The frame body 12 is provided with a horizontal bottom plate member 26 extending horizontally between the pair of vertical side frame members 14, 16 slightly below the installation position of the door lock K when the frame body is placed within the surrounding frame F, and a horizontal top plate member 28 extending horizontally between the pair of vertical side frame members is provided a predetermined distance above the horizontal bottom plate member (slightly above the maximum height of the door lock K), so that the door lock K is located between them. It is preferable that a vertical side plate member 29 is fixed at a predetermined distance (about the width of an adult's fist) laterally from the vertical side frame member 14 to provide a narrow space KS for accommodating the door lock K. The door lock K accommodated in the narrow space KS for accommodating the door lock has a security function in that it is difficult to open the door lock K by operating its lever from outside, but the lever can be operated relatively easily from inside the building.

Next, the security and decorative member 10 according to the second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figure 3 onwards. In the description of the security and decorative member 10 according to the second embodiment, parts and members that are the same as or common to the security and decorative member 10 according to the first embodiment described above will be given the same reference numerals and detailed description thereof will be omitted.
The security and decorative member 10 according to the second embodiment is a security and decorative member that includes a rectangular box-shaped security device 50 that prevents a door lock K (see FIG. 5) from being seen from the outside when locked (see FIGS. 3(a), (b), and 4). The sliding door W (see FIG. 6) is made up of two doors, an indoor door W1 and an outdoor door W2, which are attached inside a surrounding frame F that forms an opening connecting the inside and the outside. The door lock K (see FIG. 5) includes a lock body K1 attached to the vertical frame on the inside side of the indoor door and a lock body receiving part K2 attached to the vertical frame on the inside side of the outdoor door. The sliding door may be any of a sliding door, a double sliding door, a sliding window, a double sliding window, etc. One of the two doors may be a fixed door. The security and decorative member 10 comprises a frame body 12 that is placed within the peripheral frame F, and this frame body is composed of a pair of vertical side frame members 14 (one side) and 16 (the other side) that are spaced apart so as to overlap at least a portion, and preferably most, of the exterior door W2 when viewed in the width direction, a lower horizontal frame member 18 with both sides attached near the bottom ends of the pair of vertical side frame members, and an upper horizontal frame member 20 with both sides attached to the upper portion of the pair of vertical side frame members.

The frame body 12 is movable along the movement direction of the door between a functional position (see Figure 6(c)) in which its one side vertical side frame member 14 is aligned with the inner side vertical frame W1a of the indoor side door W1 and the inner side vertical frame W2a of the outdoor side door W2, which are aligned in the indoor/outdoor direction when the door lock is in a locked state, and a non-functional position (see Figures 6(a) and (b)) out of this functional position, and when the frame body is positioned in the functional position, the other side vertical side frame member is positioned on the indoor side of the outdoor side door.
A rail R is provided on the underside of the upper frame plate of the peripheral frame F to allow the frame body 12 to move in the width direction (the sliding direction of the sliding door), while a pulley 22 that engages with the rail R is attached to the upper surface of the upper horizontal frame member 20 of the frame body 12 (see FIG. 11). In addition, a fixing means 24 is provided on the lower horizontal frame member 18 of the frame body 12 to fix the security and decorative member 10 at a predetermined position. This fixing means 24 is preferably of a screw type. The reason why the security and decorative member 10 can be moved in the width direction in this way is to allow it to be aligned with the position of the door lock when the sliding door is composed of three or four doors.
The rails and pulleys described above also serve to prevent the frame body of the security and decorative member of the second embodiment of the present invention from coming off the surrounding frame F and collapsing or falling.
The upper horizontal frame member, lower horizontal frame member and a pair of vertical side frame members of the frame body are made of wood or metal (for example, an aluminum alloy used in sashes) and are each formed from a plate-like member.
Depending on the structure of the security and decorative member, the rail R and the associated pulley 22 may be omitted and the member may simply be fitted in. However, the screw-type fixing means 24 must be provided to ensure vertical alignment with the door lock.

The frame body 12 is provided with a horizontal bottom plate member 26 extending horizontally between the pair of vertical side frame members 14, 16 a predetermined distance below the door lock position when the frame body is placed within the surrounding frame F, and a horizontal top plate member 28 is provided a predetermined distance above this horizontal bottom plate member and extending horizontally between the pair of vertical side frame members, with a storage space S for the security device 50 being provided between them.
The horizontal bottom plate member 26 and the horizontal top plate member 28 are made of wood or metal (for example, an aluminum alloy used in sashes) like the frame body, and are each formed as a plate-like member.

The security device 50 is generally in the shape of a rectangular box, and is intended to make the door lock K invisible from the outside when locked. The front and rear edges of the horizontal bottom plate member 26 of the frame body 12 are provided with a front guide wall plate 30a and a rear guide wall plate 30b that guide and restrict the movement of the security device 50 between an operating position where the door lock in the locked state is invisible from the outside, and a non-operating position where the security device 50 is retracted from the operating position (see FIG. 8).
In addition, in order to specify the movement limit of the security device 50 from the operative position to the non-operative position (specifying the positioning of the security device in the non-operative position), a specifying plate material 30c of a specified thickness is installed on the surface of the horizontal bottom plate member 26.

The rectangular box-shaped security device 50 has a box-shaped security device frame 51, which is provided with two side wall plate members 56, 58 spaced apart in the direction in which the bottom plate member 26 and the top plate member 28 extend, and a lower plate member 52 and an upper plate member 54 extending between the lower edges and upper edges of the two side wall plate members. Of the two side wall plate members, the side wall plate member 56 on the side of the one-side vertical side frame member (i.e., the door lock K side) has a length such that it does not interfere with the door lock when the security device is in the operative position (see Figure 6(c)). A strong shielding plate 60 is provided on the exterior side (inner side) of the security device frame 51 to prevent the inside of the security device frame 56 from being seen from the outside, and when the security device 50 is in the operating position, one side 60a of the shielding plate 60 fits between the glass G2 of the exterior door and the lock body receiving part K2 attached to the inner vertical frame W2a, and is adjacent to and in contact with the inner vertical frame W2a. The strong shielding plate 60 is preferably made of a metal plate or FRP (fiber reinforced plastic) that is not easily destroyed by intruders.

The security device 50 is provided with a locking means 70 that fixes the security device itself in the operating position. The locking means 70 includes, for example, a rod-shaped locking member 72 that is supported by the lower plate member 52 and the upper plate member 54 of the security device frame body 51 so as to be slidable in the vertical direction, as shown in FIG. 5. The rod-shaped locking member 72 includes a locking member body 74 of a predetermined diameter, and an upper reduced diameter portion 76 and a lower reduced diameter portion 78 that are provided at the upper and lower ends of the locking member body 74 and are slidably fitted in the openings 52a, 54a formed in the lower plate member 52 and the upper plate member 54 in the vertical direction. When the locking member body 74 is positioned in the lower position, the lower reduced diameter portion 78 fits into the locking hole 26a provided in the surface of the horizontal bottom plate member 26 to fix the security device 50 in the operating position. Therefore, the position where the lock hole 26a is formed is determined taking into consideration the operating position and the position where the lock member main body 74 is provided on the frame body 51, etc.

As shown in Figures 9(a) and (b), a removable light shielding plate 90 for privacy or shading may be provided on the indoor side of the frame body 12. This light shielding plate 90 also provides a heat insulating effect.

The frame 12 is preferably provided with a lighting device 80 and its power source 84 for illuminating at least a portion of the interior of the frame. The lighting device 80 can also serve as an interior decoration by illuminating the figure f at night and by selecting the luminous color.

Next, the movement of the security device 50, which is the security and decorative member described above, between the inoperative position and the operative position will be described with reference to Figures 6, 7, and 8. It is assumed that the door lock K is already locked. The movement (sliding) of the security device 50 described below is conveniently performed by gripping the rod-shaped locking member body 74 of the locking means 70.
First, it is slid from the non-operating position (FIG. 6(a)) adjacent to the defining plate 30c installed on the surface of the horizontal bottom plate member 26 in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure, i.e., in the direction of the exterior door W2, to the position shown in FIG. 6(b) and FIG. 5(c). Next, it is slid in the direction of the arrow shown in FIG. 6(b) and FIG. 7(c), i.e., in the direction of the door lock K (to the right as viewed in the figure), to the operating position shown in FIG. 6(c), and fixed in that position. The locking means 70 is used for this fixing.
The movement of the security device 50 from the operative position to the inoperative position is carried out in the reverse order to the above.

Next, the operation of removing the crime prevention device 50 from the storage space S, and therefore from the frame 12, will be described with reference to FIG.
First, the security device 50 is moved from the operating position to the left in the figure to the position shown in Figure 12(a) (where it contacts the regulation plate 30c). Then, it is slid in the direction of the arrow in the figure (away from the glass plate G2) to the position where it contacts the rear guide wall plate 30b. This position is the non-operating position.

Next, in this position, the security device 50 is lifted upward until it hits the top plate member 28 (see FIG. 12(b)). At this time, the bottom surface of the security device 50 is positioned above the surface of the defining plate member 30c. From this position, the security device 50 is moved in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 12(b) so that it climbs over the defining plate member 30c. Then, the security device 50 is lowered to the position shown in FIG. 12(c).

Then, in the direction shown by the arrow in Fig. 12(c), slide the bottom plate member 26 along the guide of the front guide wall plate 30a and the rear guide wall plate 30b to the other vertical side frame member 16 (Fig. 12(d)). Up to this position, the rear guide wall plate 30b has not extended (see Fig. 12(a) etc.) and is open, so pull it out in the direction of the arrow in Fig. 12(b) (towards the viewer in the figure) and remove the security device 50 from the frame body 12.

Since the security and decorative member of the present invention has the above-mentioned structure, in order to break this security and decorative member, an extremely wide area of glass around the shielding member must be broken. Furthermore, due to the width of the boards that extend inside and outside the house that form the frame and other parts that make up the security and decorative member, an intruder must move his arms around quite a bit to reach the door lock, which makes it highly likely that the intruder will give up on breaking it.
Furthermore, the security and decorative member of the present invention uses horizontal boards that also function as a display shelf for ornaments, so it is not just a security measure like the conventional ones, but can itself function as a decoration for the house. The display shelf is designed to hold figures and the like, and since breaking the lock requires scattering the figures and the like displayed on the display shelf, it is also useful from a psychological standpoint as a security measure.

The security and decorative member of any one of claims 1 to 4, comprising a rectangular box-shaped security device that, when locked, makes a door lock invisible from the outside, the lock body being attached to the vertical frame on the inside of the indoor door and the lock body receiver being attached to the vertical frame on the inside of the outdoor door, of a sliding door consisting of two doors, an indoor door and an outdoor door, that are attached inside the perimeter frame. The security and decorative member according to claim 1, wherein a fixing means is provided in a lower portion of said security and decorative member frame for fixing said security and decorative member frame to said surrounding frame.
